उत्पत्ति 9
1 १ नंतर देवाने नोहाला व त्याच्या मुलांना आशीर्वाद दिला आणि म्हटले, “फलदायी व्हा, बहुगुणित व्हा आणि पृथ्वी भरून टाका.
God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth.
2 २ पृथ्वीवरील प्रत्येक जिवंत प्राणी, आकाशातील प्रत्येक पक्षी, जमिनीवर सरपटणारे सर्व प्राणी आणि समुद्रातील सर्व मासे ह्यांच्यावर तुमचे भय व धाक राहील; ते तुमच्या कह्यात दिले आहेत.
And the fear of you and the dread of you will be on every wild animal of the earth, and on every tame animal of the earth, and on every flying creature of the sky, and on everything that crawls on the ground, and on all the fish of the sea; into your power they are given.
3 ३ प्रत्येक हालचाल करणारा प्राणी हा तुमचे अन्न होईल. जशा मी हिरव्या वनस्पती दिल्या आहेत, तसेच आता सर्वकाही तुम्हास देत आहे.
Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave the green plants, I now give you everything.
But flesh with its life, its blood, you shall not eat.
5 ५ परंतु तुमच्या रक्तासाठी, जे रक्त तुमचे जीवन आहे, त्याबद्दल मी आवश्यक भरपाई घेईन. प्रत्येक प्राण्याच्या हातून मी ती घेईन. मनुष्याच्या हातून, म्हणजे ज्याने आपल्या भावाचा खून केला आहे त्याच्या हातून, त्या मनुष्याच्या जिवाबद्दल मी भरपाईची मागणी करीन.
And surely I will require a reckoning for your lifeblood; from every animal I will require it, and from humans. From every human being I will require it for the life of his fellow human being.
6 ६ जो कोणी मनुष्याचे रक्त पाडतो, त्याचे रक्त मनुष्याकडून पाडले जाईल, कारण देवाने मनुष्यास त्याच्या प्रतिरूपाचे बनवले आहे.
Whoever takes a human life, by a human will his life be taken, for God made humankind in his own image.
And as for you, be fruitful and multiply, and increase abundantly on the earth, and subdue it."
God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
"And as for me, look, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you,
10 १० आणि तुमच्याबरोबर असलेले सर्व जिवंत प्राणी, म्हणजे तुमच्याबरोबर तारवातून बाहेर आलेले पक्षी, गुरेढोरे, आणि पृथ्वीवर राहणारे सर्व प्राणी त्यांच्याशीही एक करार स्थापित करतो.
and with every living creature that is with you: the flying creatures, and the tame animals, and every wild animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship.
11 ११ अशा प्रकारे मी तुमच्याशी करार स्थापित करतो की, यापुढे पुराच्या पाण्याने पृथ्वीवरील सर्व देह पुन्हा कधीही नष्ट केले जाणार नाहीत व पुन्हा कधीही पुराने पृथ्वीचा नाश होणार नाही.”
I will establish my covenant with you; and all flesh will never again be cut off by the waters of the flood, neither will there ever again be a flood to destroy the earth."
12 १२ देव म्हणाला, “मी माझ्यामध्ये आणि तुमच्यामध्ये, व तुमच्याबरोबर जे सर्व जिवंत जीव आहेत त्यांच्यामध्ये भावी पिढ्यानपिढ्यासाठी हा करार केल्याची निशाणी हीच आहे.
God said, "This is the sign of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
It will happen, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud,
15 १५ नंतर मी ते पाहीन तेव्हा मी तुमच्याशी व पृथ्वीवरील सर्व देहातल्या जिवंत प्राण्यांशी केलेल्या माझ्या कराराची मला आठवण होईल, या कराराप्रमाणे पुराच्या पाण्याने पृथ्वीवरील सर्व देहाचा पुन्हा कधीही नाश करणार नाही.
and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 १६ मेघधनुष्य ढगात राहील आणि जो सर्वकाळचा करार देव आणि पृथ्वीवरील सर्व देहातले जिवंत प्राणी यांच्यामध्ये आहे त्याची आठवण म्हणून मी त्याकडे पाहीन.”
The rainbow will be in the cloud. I will look at it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between me and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth."
17 १७ नंतर देव नोहाला म्हणाला, “हे मेघधनुष्य माझ्यामध्ये व पृथ्वीवरील सर्व देहांमध्ये स्थापित केलेल्या कराराची निशाणी आहे.”
God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth."
18 १८ नोहाबरोबर त्याचे पुत्र तारवाबाहेर आले; त्यांची नावे शेम, हाम व याफेथ अशी होती. आणि हाम हा कनानाचा पिता होता
The sons of Noah who came out of the ship were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham is the father of Canaan.
These were the three sons of Noah, and from them the whole earth was populated.
Noah, a farmer, was the first to plant a vineyard.
He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent.
22 २२ तेव्हा कनानाचा पिता हाम याने आपला पिता उघडा-वागडा पडलेला असल्याचे पाहिले व त्याने तंबूच्या बाहेर येऊन ते आपल्या भावांना सांगितले.
And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside.
23 २३ मग शेम व याफेथ यांनी एक कपडा घेतला व तो आपल्या खांद्यावर ठेवून ते पाठमोरे तंबूत गेले. अशा प्रकारे त्यांनी आपल्या पित्याची नग्नता झाकली; पाठमोरे असल्यामुळे ती त्यांना दिसली नाही.
Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it on both their shoulders, went in backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned the other way, and they did not see their father's nakedness.
Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him.
25 २५ तेव्हा नोहा म्हणाला, “कनान शापित होवो, तो आपल्या भावाच्या गुलामातील सर्वांत खालचा गुलाम होवो.”
He said, "Canaan is cursed. He will be servant of servants to his brothers."
He said, "Blessed be the God of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.
May God enlarge Japheth. Let him dwell in the tents of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant."
Noah lived three hundred fifty years after the flood.
All the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years, then he died.
