यहेज्केल 33
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2 २ “मानवाच्या मुला, तुझ्या लोकांशी बोल त्यांना सांग की, जेव्हा मी कोणत्याही देशाविरूद्ध तलवार आणीन, तेव्हा त्या देशाचे लोक आपल्यातील एका मनुष्यास घेतात आणि त्यास आपल्यासाठी पहारेकरी करतात.
Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and thou shalt say to them, On whatsoever land I shall bring a sword, and the people of the land take one man of them, and set him for their watchman:
and he shall see the sword coming upon the land, and blow the trumpet, and sound an alarm to the people;
4 ४ जर लोकांनी शिंगाचा आवाज ऐकला पण त्याकडे लक्ष दिले नाही, आणि जर त्यांच्यावर तलवार आली व त्यांना मारले, तर प्रत्येकाचे रक्त त्यांच्या स्वतःच्या डोक्यावर राहिल.
and he that hears the sound of the trumpet shall hear [indeed], and [yet] not take heed, and the sword shall come upon him, and overtake him, his blood shall be upon his [own] head.
5 ५ जर कोणी एखाद्याने शिंगाचा आवाज ऐकला आणि लक्ष दिले नाही, त्याचे रक्त त्यावर राहिल. पण जर त्याने लक्ष दिले, तो आपला स्वतःचा जीव वाचवील.
Because he heard the sound of the trumpet, and took no heed, his blood shall be upon him: but the other, because he took heed, has delivered his soul.
6 ६ पण, कदाचित्, जर जसे पहारेकरी तलवार येत आहे असे पाहील, पण जर त्याने शिंग फुंकले नाही, त्याचा परीणाम लोकांस सावध केले नाही, आणि जर तलवार आली आणि कोणाचा जीव घेतला, तर तो त्याच्या पापात मरेल, पण त्याचे रक्त मी पहारेकऱ्याकडून मागून घेईन.
But if the watchman see the sword coming, and do not sound the trumpet, and the people do not watch; and the sword come, and take a soul from among them, that [soul] is taken because of its iniquity; but the blood [thereof] will I require at the watchman's hand.
7 ७ आता, मानवाच्या मुला, मी तुला इस्राएलाच्या घराण्यासाठी पहारेकरी केले आहे. तू माझ्या मुखातून वचन ऐकून आणि माझ्यावतीने त्यांना सावध कर.
And thou, son of man, I have set thee [as] a watchman to the house of Israel, and thou shalt hear a word from my mouth.
8 ८ जर मी दुष्टाला म्हणतो, अरे दुष्टा तू खचित मरशील, पण जर तू दुष्टाला त्याच्या मार्गापासून फिरवण्यासाठी तू त्यास बजावून सांगण्यासाठी त्याच्याशी बोलणार नाही तर तो दुष्ट आपल्या पापत मरेल, पण त्याचे रक्त मी तुझ्यापासून मागेन.
When I say to the sinner, Thou shalt surely die; [if] thou speak not to warn the wicked from his way, the wicked himself shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
9 ९ पण तू त्या पाप्यास सावध करून कुमार्ग सोडून सन्मार्ग धरण्यास सांगितलेस आणि त्याने ह्यास नकार दिला, तर तो मनुष्य त्याच्या पापामुळे मरेल. पण तू वाचशील.
But if thou forewarn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he turn not from his way, he shall die in his ungodliness; but thou hast delivered thine own soul.
10 १० म्हणून हे मानवाच्या मुला, इस्राएलाच्या घराण्याला सांग, तुम्ही म्हणता, की, आमचे अपराध व आमची पापे यांचा बोजा आम्हावर आहे व त्यामुळे त्यामध्ये आम्ही कुजत आहोत. आम्ही कसे जगावे?
And thou, son of man, say to the house of Israel; Thus have ye spoken, saying, Our errors, and our iniquities weigh upon us, and we pine away in them, and how then shall we live?
11 ११ त्यांना सांग, प्रभू परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, जसा मी जिवंत आहे, मला ‘दुष्टांच्या मरणाने आनंद होत नाही, कारण जर दुष्टाने आपल्या मार्गापासून पश्चाताप केला, तर मग तो जिवंत राहील! पश्चाताप करा! तुमच्या दुष्ट मार्गापासून पश्चाताप करा! कारण इस्राएल घराण्यांनो, तुम्ही का मरावे?’
Say to them, Thus saith the Lord; [As] I live, I desire not the death of the ungodly, as that the ungodly should turn from his way and live: turn ye heartily from your way; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
12 १२ आणि मानवाच्या मुला, तू तुझ्या लोकांस सांग, धार्मिक पाप करील तर त्याची धार्मिकता त्यास वाचविणार नाही. आणि दुष्टाने आपल्या पापाचा पश्चाताप केला तर दुष्टतेमुळे त्याचा नाश होणार नाही. कारण धार्मिक पाप करू लागला तर तो आपल्या धार्मिकतेमुळे वाचू शकणार नाही.
Say to the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him, in the day wherein he errs: and the iniquity of the ungodly shall not harm him, in the day wherein he turns from his iniquity, but the righteous [erring] shall not be able to deliver himself.
13 १३ जर मी धार्मिकाला म्हणालो, तो खचित जिवंत राहिल! आणि जर तो आपल्या धार्मिकतेवर भाव ठेवून अन्याय करील, तर त्याची सर्व धार्मिकतेची कृत्ये मी आठवणार नाही. त्याने केलेल्या दुष्कृत्यांमुळे तो मरेल.
When I say to the righteous, [Thou shalt live; and] he trusts in his righteousness, and shall commit iniquity, none of his righteousnesses shall be remembered; in his unrighteousness which he has wrought, in it shall he die.
14 १४ आणि जर मी दुष्टाला म्हणालो तू खचित मरशील! पण जर त्याने त्याच्या पापापासून पश्चाताप केला आणि जे काही योग्य व न्याय्य आहे ते केले,
And when I say to the ungodly, Thou shalt surely die; and he shall turn from his sin, and do judgment and justice,
15 १५ जर दुष्ट गहाण परत देईल, व जे चोरून घेतलेले ते परत भरून देईल, जर तो अन्याय न करता जीवनाच्या नियमांमध्ये वागेल तर तो वाचेलच, तो मरणार नाही.
and return the pledge, and repay that which he has robbed, [and] walk in the ordinances of life, so as to do no wrong; he shall surely live, and shall not die.
16 १६ त्याने पूर्वी केलेली पापे मी स्मरणार नाही. जे योग्य व न्यायाने ते त्याने केले आहे, तो खचित जगेल.
None of his sins which he has committed shall be remembered: because he has wrought judgment and righteousness; by them shall he live.
Yet the children of thy people will say, The way of the Lord is not straight: whereas this their way is not straight.
When the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and shall commit iniquities, then shall he die in them.
19 १९ आणि जेव्हा दुष्ट आपल्या दुष्टतेपासून फिरून जे योग्य व न्याय्य आहे ते करतो तर तो त्या गोष्टीमुळे जगेल.
And when the sinner turns from his iniquity, and shall do judgment and righteousness, he shall live by them.
20 २० पण तुम्ही लोक म्हणता, प्रभूचा मार्ग बरोबर नाही! इस्राएलाच्या घराण्यांनो मी तुमच्या प्रत्येकाचा न्याय त्याच्या मार्गाप्रमाणे करीन.”
And this is that which ye said, The way of the Lord is [not] straight. I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one for his ways.
21 २१ आमच्या बंदिवासाच्या बाराव्या वर्षाच्या दहाव्या महिन्याच्या पाचव्या दिवशी असे झाले की, यरूशलेमेमधून एक फरारी माझ्याकडे आला व म्हणाला, “नगर काबीज झाले आहे.”
And it came to pass in the tenth year of our captivity, in the twelfth month, on the fifth [day] of the month, [that] one that had escaped from Jerusalem came to me, saying, The city is taken.
22 २२ तो फरारी संध्याकाळी येण्यापूर्वी परमेश्वराचा हात माझ्यावर होता, आणि तो सकाळी माझ्याकडे येण्याच्या वेळी परमेश्वराने त्याने माझे मुख उघडले होते. म्हणून माझे मुख उघडे होते; मी मुका राहिलो नाही.
Now the hand of the Lord had come upon me in the evening, before he came; and he opened my mouth, when he came to me in the morning: and my mouth was open, it was no longer kept closed.
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
24 २४ “मानवाच्या मुला, जे इस्राएल देशाच्या विध्वंस झालेल्या नगरातून राहत आहेत ते बोलतात व म्हणतात, अब्राहाम फक्त एकच पुरुष होता आणि त्यास या देशाचे वतन मिळाले परंतु आम्ही तर पुष्कळ आहोत! देश आम्हास वतनासाठी दिला आहे.
Son of man, they that inhabit the desolate [places] on the land of Israel say, Abram was one, and he possessed the land: and we are more numerous; to us the land is given for a possession.
25 २५ म्हणून तू त्यांना सांग की प्रभू परमेश्वर, असे म्हणतो, तुम्ही रक्तासकट मांस खाता. तुम्ही आपल्या मूर्तीकडे डोळे लावता, तुम्ही लोकांचे रक्त पाडता. तर मग तुम्ही खरोखर देश वतन करून घ्याल का?
26 २६ तुम्ही तुमच्या स्वत: च्या तलवारीवर अवलंबून राहता आणि तुम्ही अमंगळ गोष्टी करता. प्रत्येक मनुष्य आपल्या शेजाऱ्याच्या पत्नीला अशुद्ध करतो, तुम्ही खरोखर देश वतन करून घ्याल का?
27 २७ तू त्यांना हे सांग की, प्रभू परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, मी जिवंत आहे; त्या नाश झालेल्या नगरात राहणारे लोक तलवारीने खचित मारले जातील. जर एखादा शेतांत असेल, तर त्यास मी पशूचे भक्ष्य म्हणून देईन आणि जे कोणी किल्ल्यात व गुहेत आहेत ते मरीने मरतील.
Therefore say to them, Thus saith the Lord God, [As] I live, surely they that are in the desolate places shall fall by swords and they that are in the open plain shall be given for food to the wild beasts of the field, and them that are in the fortified [cities] and them that are in the caves I will slay with pestilence.
28 २८ मग मी ती भूमी ओसाड व निर्जन करीन आणि त्याच्या सामर्थ्याचा गर्वाचा अंत होईल. इस्राएलचे पर्वत ओसाड होतील. तेथून कोणीही जाणारसुद्धा नाही.
And I will make the land desert, and the pride of her strength shall perish; and the mountains of Israel shall be made desolate by reason of no man passing through.
29 २९ म्हणून त्यांनी ज्या अमंगळ गोष्टी केल्या त्यामुळे जेव्हा मी तो देश ओसाड आणि दहशत असा करीन. तेव्हा त्यांना समजेल की, मीच परमेश्वर आहे.
And they shall know that I am the Lord; and I will make their land desert, and it shall be made desolate because of all their abominations which they have wrought.
30 ३० आणि, मानवाच्या मुला, आता तुझ्याबद्दल तुझे लोक भिंतीला टेकून, त्यांच्या घराच्या दारांत उभे राहून, व एक दुसऱ्याशी व प्रत्येक आपल्या भावाशी बोलतो, ते म्हणतात चला, व परमेश्वराकडून संदेष्ट्याकडे आलेले वचन जाऊन ऐकू या.
And [as for] thee, son of man, the children of thy people are they that speak concerning thee by the walls, and in the porches of the houses, and they talk one to another, saying, Let us come together, and let us hear the [words] that proceed from the Lord.
31 ३१ म्हणून ते लोक येत असतात तसे ते तुझ्याकडे येतात. आणि ते माझ्या लोकांप्रमाणे तुझ्यापुढे बसतात तुझी वचने ऐकतात, परंतु ते ती आचरीत नाहीत. जरी ते आपल्या मुखाने फार प्रीती दाखवतात तरी त्यांचे चित्त त्यांच्या लाभाच्या मागे चालत जाते.
They approach thee as a people comes together, and sit before thee, and hear thy words, but they will not do them: for [there is] falsehood in their mouth, and their heart [goes] after their pollutions.
32 ३२ कारण पाहा, ज्याचा स्वर गोड व तू त्यांना मनोहर गीतासारखा, तंतुवाद्यांवर मधुर आवाजात वाजवणारा, असा तू त्यांना आहे. म्हणून ते तुझे वचने ऐकतात, पण त्याप्रमाणे ते चालत नाहीत.
And thou art to them as a sound of a sweet, well-tuned psaltery, and they will hear thy words, but they will not do them.
But whenever it shall come [to pass], they will say, Behold, it is come: and they shall know that there was a prophet in the midst of them.
