यहेज्केल 26
1 १ आणि असे झाले की, बाबेलातील बंदिवासाच्या अकराव्या वर्षी, महिन्याच्या पहिल्याच दिवशी, परमेश्वराचे वचन मजकडे आले आणि म्हणाले,
And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
2 २ “मानवाच्या मुला, कारण सोर यरूशलेमेविरूद्ध म्हणत आहे, अहा! लोकांचे प्रवेशद्वार तुटले आहेत! ती माझ्याकडे वळली आहे; जशी ती उजाड झाली तशी मी ओतप्रोत भरेल.”
Son of man, Because Tyre hath said concerning Jerusalem. Aha! She is broken that was the doors of the peoples. She is turned unto me, — I shall be filled, She is laid waste,
3 ३ म्हणून, प्रभू परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “पाहा सोर, मी तुझ्याविरूद्ध आहे आणि जसा समुद्र आपल्या लाटा उंचावतो तसे मी तुजविरूद्ध पुष्कळ राष्ट्रांना उठविन.”
Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! against thee O Tyre, — So then I will bring up against thee many nations, As the sea bringeth up its rolling waves;
4 ४ ते सोरेच्या तटाचा नाश करतील आणि तिचे बुरुज पाडून टाकतील. मी तिची धूळ झाडून दूर करीन आणि तिला उघडा खडक करीन.
And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre. And break down her towers, And I will scrape clean her dust from off her, —And make of her the glaring face of a cliff:
5 ५ ती समुद्रामध्ये जाळीसाठी वाळवण्याची जागा होईल. असे प्रभू परमेश्वर म्हणतो, आणि ती राष्ट्रासाठी लूट अशी होईल.
A place for the spreading of nets, shall she become, in the midst of the sea, For, I, have spoken Declareth My Lord. Yahweh, -And she shall become a prey to the nations.
6 ६ तिच्या कन्या ज्या कोणी शेतात आहेत त्या तलवारीने वधल्या जातील आणि त्यांना समजेल की मी परमेश्वर आहे.
And her daughters that are in the field: with the sword shall be slain: So shall they know that I am Yahweh.
7 ७ कारण प्रभू परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, पाहा! मी उत्तरेकडून बाबेलाचा राजा नबुखद्नेस्सर, राजांचा राजा याला मी घोडे व रथ, आणि घोडदळ! पुष्कळ लोकांची फौज घेऊन सोराविरूद्ध आणत आहे.
For thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Behold me! bringing against Tyre. Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon out of the North. a king of kings, —with horses and with chariots and with horsemen, and a gathered host, and much people.
8 ८ तो तुझ्या कन्यांना शेतात तलवारीने मारील आणि तुझ्याविरूद्ध उतरती वेढ्याची भिंत बांधील आणि तुझ्याविरूद्ध ढाल उभारील.
Thy daughters in the field—with the sword, shall he slay, - And shall set against thee a siege-wall And cast up against thee an earthwork, And set up against thee a large shield;
And the stroke of his attacking-engine, will he direct against thy walls, — And thy towers, will he break down with his axes.
10 १० घोड्यांच्या जमावांच्या धुळीने तो तुला झाकून टाकील. जेव्हा तो हल्ला करून तटबंदीची नगरे पाडून जसे आत शिरतात तसे तो तुझ्या वेशीतून आत प्रवेश करेल, तेव्हा घोड्यांच्या आवाजाने आणि रथांच्या चाकांच्या खडखडाटाने तुझे तट थरथर कापतील.
By reason of the multitude of his horses, their dust shall cover thee, — At the noise of horseman and wheel and chariot, shall thy walls tremble, when he entereth into thy gates Just as they do who enter a city broken open.
11 ११ तो आपल्या घोड्यांच्या टापांनी तुझे सर्व रस्ते तुडवितील. तो तुझ्या लोकांची तलवारीने कत्तल करील आणि तुझे भक्कम स्तंभ जमीनीवर पडतील.
With the hoofs of his horses, shall he tread down all thy streets, — Thy people-with the sword, shall he slay, And thy pillars of strength to the earth, shall go down.
12 १२ याप्रकारे ते तुझी शक्ती आणि व्यापारी माल लुटतील! ते तुझे तट आणि तुझी श्रीमंत घरे पाडून टाकतील तुझे दगड व लाकूड आणि तुझी माती ते पाण्यामध्ये घालतील.
And they shall spoil thy wealth And make a prey of thy merchandise, And break down thy walls And thy pleasant houses, shall they lay in ruins; And thy stones and thy timber and thy dust—in the midst of the waters, shall they lay.
13 १३ कारण मी तुझ्या गीतांचा आवाज बंद पाडीन आणि तुझ्या तंतुवाद्यांचा आवाज पुन्हा कधीही ऐकू येणार नाही.
And I will cause to cease the hum of thy songs; And the sound of thy lyres, shall not be heard any more.
14 १४ कारण मी तुला उघडा खडक करीन, तू जाळी कोरडी करण्यासाठीची जागा होशील, तुझी पुन्हा उभारणी होणार नाही. कारण मी, परमेश्वराने असे म्हटले आहे, प्रभू परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.
And I will make of thee the glaring face of a cliff. A place for the spreading of nets, shalt thou become, Thou shalt not be but any more, For I. Yahweh have spoken it, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
15 १५ प्रभू परमेश्वर सोरला म्हणतो, तुझ्या अधःपतनाच्या आवाजाने आणि जेव्हा तुझ्यामध्ये भयंकर कत्तल झाली त्यामध्ये जखमीच्या कण्हण्याने द्वीपांचा थरकाप होणार नाही का?
Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, to Tyre: Shall it not be that. At the sound of thy fall. With the groan of thy pierced one. With the slaughter made in thy midst, The Coastlands shall tremble?
16 १६ कारण समुद्रातले सर्व प्रमुख आपल्या सिंहासनावरून खाली उतरतील आणि आपले झगे बाजूला काढून ठेवतील आणि आपले रंगीबेरंगी वस्त्रे काढून टाकतील. ते स्वतःला भीतीच्या वस्त्राने आच्छादतील आणि भीतीने जमिनीवर बसतील व वारंवार कांपतील आणि तुझ्याविषयी भयचकीत होतील.
Then shall come down from off their thrones all the princes of the sea, And shall lay aside their robes. And their embroidered garments, shall strip off, — With tremblings, shall they clothe them. selves Upon the ground, shall they sit, And shall tremble every moment and be astonished over thee.
17 १७ ते तुझ्यासाठी ओरडून विलाप करून तुला म्हणतील, “अगे, जे कोणी खलाशी तुझ्यात वस्ती करून होते त्यांचा नाश झाला आहे. जी तू बलवान प्रसिद्ध नगरी होती. ती आता समुद्रात आहे. जी तू तेथे राहणाऱ्या प्रत्येकजणास दहशत घालीत होतीस ती तू कशी नष्ट झाली आहेस?
Then shall they take up over thee a dirge, And say to thee, - How hast thou perished, And ceased from the seas, - The city renowned which was strong in the sea She and they who dwelt in her, Who imparted their terror To all who dwelt in her.
18 १८ आता, तुझ्या पडण्याच्या दिवशी, समुद्रकिनारीचा देशांचा भीतीने थरकाप उडेल. समुद्र किनाऱ्यावरील देश भयभीत झाले आहेत, कारण तू पाण्यात गेली आहेस.”
Now, shall tremble the Coastlands, In the day of thy fall, - And shall shudder the isles that are in the sea. At thine exit!
19 १९ कारण प्रभू परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “जी नगरे वसली नाहीत त्यासारखे जेव्हा मी तुला ओसाड नगर करीन, जेव्हा मी तुझ्यावर खोल समुद्र आणीन आणि तेव्हा प्रचंड जले तुला झाकतील.
For thus saith My Lord Yahweh, When I make thee a desolate city, Like cities which cannot be dwelt in, - When I bring up over thee the roaring deep, And the mighty waters cover thee,
20 २० मग मी तुला ते जे कोणी दुसरे खाचेत खाली प्राचीन काळच्या लोकांकडे गेले आहेत त्यांच्यासारखे प्राचीन काळापासून ओसाड असलेल्या स्थानात तुला पृथ्वीच्या अधोभागी तुला रहावयास लावीन म्हणजे तू पुन्हा वसणार नाहीस.
Then will I bring thee down with them that go down into the pit. Unto the people of age-past times And cause thee to dwell in the earth below Among the desolations from age-past times With them that go down into the pit That thou mayest not be dwelt in, Nor yet present thyself in the land of the living.
21 २१ मी तुझ्यावर विपत्ती आणिन आणि तू अस्तित्वात असणार नाहीस. मग तुला शोधतील, पण तू त्यांना पुन्हा कधीही सापडणार नाहीस” असे प्रभू परमेश्वर, म्हणतो.
A terror, will I make thee And thou shalt not be: Though thou be sought for, Thou shalt not be found any more To times age-abiding, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.
