यहेज्केल 20
1 १ बाबेलातील बंदिवासाच्या सातव्या वर्षाच्या पाचव्या महिन्याच्या दहाव्या दिवशी असे घडेल, इस्राएलाचे वडील परमेश्वर देवाला विचारणा करण्यास आले, आणि मज पुढे येऊन बसले.
Almost seven years [King Jehoiachin and the rest of us had been captured and taken to Babylonia], on the tenth day of the fifth [of that year], some Israeli elders came to me to [if I had a message for them] from Yahweh.
Then Yahweh gave me a message. [He said, ]
3 ३ मानवाच्या मुला इस्राएलाच्या वडीलांना जाहीर करून सांग की प्रभू परमेश्वर देव असे म्हणतो, तुम्ही मला प्रश्न विचारायला आला काय? प्रभू परमेश्वर देव म्हणतो, माझ्या जीवीताची शपथ मी तुला प्रश्न विचारु देणार नाही, असे परमेश्वर देव जाहीर करतो.
“You human, speak to the Israeli elders and say to them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: [say that] you have come to ask if there is any message from me [RHQ], but [as surely] as I am alive, I will [answer you if] you ask [to tell you] anything.’
4 ४ तू त्यांचा न्याय करु नये काय? मानवाच्या मुला तू त्यांचा न्याय करु नये काय? त्यांच्या वाडवडीलांनी केलेली घृणास्पद कृत्ये त्यांना सांग
If you are [RHQ] willing to warn them, remind them of the detestable things that their ancestors did.
5 ५ प्रभू परमेश्वर म्हणतो, मी ज्या दिवशी इस्राएलास निवडून घेतले आणि माझे हात वर याकोबाच्या वंशजांना शपथ वाहिली आणि मिसर देशात त्यांना प्रकट झाले, मी माझे हात उंचावून शपथ वाहिली मी तुमचा परमेश्वर देव असे म्हणतो.
Then say to them, ‘On the day that I chose [you] Israeli [to belong to me], with my hand lifted up, I made a solemn promise to your [while they were still] in Egypt. I said to them, “I am Yahweh, your God.
6 ६ त्या दिवशी मी आपले हात उंचावून त्यांच्याशी शपथ वाहीली की, मी त्यांना मिसर देशातून बाहेर आणिन आणि मी त्यांना खात्रीपूर्ण त्यांच्यासाठी निवडलेल्या देशात आणिन ज्यात दुधामधाचे प्रवाह वाहत आहे, तो देश सुंदर असून सर्व देशांचा मुकुट मणी आहे.
I will bring you out of Egypt and lead you to a land that I have chosen for you. It is a very fertile [IDM] and (very beautiful/more beautiful than any other) land.
7 ७ तेव्हा मी त्यास म्हटले की प्रत्येकाने मिसर देशातील मूर्ती देवत अशा तिरस्करणीय वस्तू आपल्या दृष्टी समोरुन फेकून द्या, तुम्ही त्यामुळे विटाळू नये, असे तुमचा देव परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
Each of you must get rid of the disgusting idols that you loved [IDM], and do not defile yourselves [worshiping] those [that you saw] in Egypt. I, Yahweh your God, [am saying this to you].”’
8 ८ तरीही त्यांनी माझा तिव्र विरोध केला आणि ते माझे ऐकेनात त्यातीत प्रत्येकाने मिसर देशातील मूर्ती, दैवत अशा तिरस्कार आणणाऱ्या वस्तू फेकून दिल्या नाही आणि म्हणून मी त्यांना त्वेषाने माझा क्रोध मिसरावर ओतीन, तरच मी समाधान पावेन, हा माझा केलेला ठराव आहे.
But they rebelled against me. They would not pay attention to me. They did not get rid of the disgusting idols they loved, and they did not reject those [that they saw] in Egypt. So because I was angry with them, I said that I would punish [MTY] them in Egypt.
9 ९ माझ्या पवित्र नामास्तव ज्या राष्ट्रात ते राहत आहेत त्यांच्या दृष्टीपुढे माझ्या नामाचा अनादर होऊ नये म्हणून मी हे कार्य केले आहे, त्यांना मिसर देशातून काढून त्याच्या दृष्टीसमोर मी त्यास प्रकट झालो.
But for the sake of my own reputation, I decided to do something in order that I would not be dishonored by the people of the nations who would see it when I brought my people out of Egypt.
Therefore I led them out of Egypt and brought them into the desert.
11 ११ मी त्यांना माझे नियम व निर्णय लावून दिले त्यास दाखवून दिलेत ह्यासाठी की जो कोणी हे पाळेल त्यांचा बचाव होईल.
I gave them [all] my laws and decrees [DOU], in order that they would obey them, and as a result they would live [for a long time].
12 १२ माझ्यामध्ये आणि त्यांच्यामध्ये चिन्ह म्हणून त्यास शब्बाथ दिले, ह्यासाठी की त्यांना समजावे की त्यास पवित्र करणारा मी परमेश्वर देव आहे.
Also, I established the Sabbath/rest days to be a symbol between us to show that I, Yahweh, had caused them to be set [from the other nations].
13 १३ रानामध्ये इस्राएल घराण्याने माझा तीव्र विरोध केला. ते माझ्या नियमांनी चालले नाहीत, ज्यांच्यामुळे त्यांचा बचाव होईल, त्याऐवजी त्यांनी माझ्या नियमांचा नकार केला, त्यांनी माझ्या पवित्र शब्बाथाचा अनादर केला; म्हणून मी म्हणालो त्यांचा रानामध्येच नाश करण्यासाठी मी आपला क्रोध त्यांच्यावर ओतीन असे मी म्हटले.
But the Israeli people rebelled against me in the desert. They did not obey my commands [DOU]; they rejected them, even though they tell people who obey them that they will live [for a long time], and they profaned the Sabbath days. So I said that I would get rid of them in the desert, and that would show that I was very angry with them.
14 १४ तथापि माझ्या पवित्र नामाचा अनादर होऊ नये म्हणून त्या राष्ट्रा देखत त्यांना मिसरा बाहेर आणून कृती केली.
But [again], for the sake of my own reputation, I decided to do something else in order that I would not be dishonored/despised by [the people of] the nations who had seen me bring my people out of Egypt.
15 १५ म्हणून मी माझा हात उंचावून रानात प्रतिज्ञा वाहिली; जो देश त्यांना देण्यासाठी ज्यामध्ये दुधामधाचे प्रवाह वाहत आहेत, जो सर्वात सुंदर असून सर्व देशाचा मुकुटमणी आहे, अशा देशात मी त्यांना घेऊन जाणार नाही.
I lifted up my hand and solemnly declared to them in the desert that I would not take them into the land that [had promised to] give them, a land that was very fertile [IDM] and (very beautiful/more beautiful than any other) land.
16 १६ मी शपथ वाहिली कारण त्यांनी माझा करार मोडला माझ्या नियमांनी ते चालले नाहीत आणि माझ्या शब्बाथाचा अनादर केला, कारण त्यांचे अंतःकरण मूर्तीशी जडल्यामुळे त्यांनी माझे निर्णय टाकून दिले.
The reason that I promised that was because they rejected and disobeyed all my laws [DOU] and (desecrated/refused to rest on) the Sabbath days. [They did that] because they [SYN] were devoted [worshiping] their idols.
17 १७ तरी मी त्यांच्यावर कृपादृष्टी केली, कारण त्यांची होणारी हानी पाहून त्यांचा रानात सर्वनाश करणार नाही.
But, I still pitied them and did not get rid of [all of] them in the desert.
18 १८ रानात मी त्यांच्या पुत्रपोत्रास म्हणालो तुम्ही आपल्या वाडवडीलांच्या नियमांनी चालू नका, तुम्ही त्यांचा करार पाळू नका किंवा मूर्तीपूजा करून स्वतःस अशुद्ध करु नका.
I said to their children, ‘Do not do the things that your parents continually did, or defile yourselves [worshiping] their idols.
I am Yahweh your God. Carefully obey [DOU] my laws and commands.
20 २० माझे शब्बाथ पवित्र पणे पाळा ह्यासाठी की, ते तुमच्या व माझ्यामध्ये चिन्हा दाखल होतील. ह्यासाठी की मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे हे तुम्हास कळून येईल.
Respect my Sabbath days, in order that by doing that [PRS], it will remind you that you belong to me, Yahweh your God.’
21 २१ परंतू त्यांच्या मुलामुलींनी देखील माझ्या विरोधात तीव्र विरोध केला. ते नियमांनी चालले नाहीत किंवा करार पाळला नाही, ज्या आज्ञा पाळल्याने मनुष्य वाचतो. त्यांनी माझ्या शब्बाथाचा अनादर केला, तेव्हा मी ठरवले की मी रानात त्यांच्यावर क्रोधाची वृष्टी करावी ह्यासाठी माझा क्रोध पूर्ण करावा.
But their children [also] rebelled against me. They did not carefully obey my laws [DOU], [even though] the people who obey them will live [for a long time]; and they profaned the Sabbath days. So again I said that by getting rid of them in the desert, I would show that I was very angry with them.
22 २२ परंतू मी आपल्या नामास्तव आपला हात आवरला ह्यासाठी की ज्या राष्ट्रातून इस्राएलांना मी बाहेर त्यांच्या दृष्टीसमोर माझा अनादर होऊ नये, म्हणून मी कृती केली आहे.
But I did not do that [IDM]. [Again, ] for the sake of my own reputation, I [decided to] do something in order that I would not be dishonored/despised by [the people of] the nations who had seen it when I brought my people out [of Egypt].
23 २३ रानात मी हात उंचावून अशी शपथ वाहिली की, मी त्यांची राष्ट्रामध्ये पांगापांग करीन व त्यास देशोधडीला लावीन.
I lifted up my hand and solemnly declared to them in the desert that I would cause them to be scattered among [many] nations [DOU],
24 २४ हे करण्यासाठी मी ठराव केला ह्यासाठी की, जेव्हापासून त्यांनी माझ्या आज्ञा पाळल्या नाहीत, माझ्या शब्बाथाचा व नियमांचा अनादर केला. कारण त्यांची दृष्टी त्यांच्या वाडवडीलांच्या मूर्तीकडे लागली होती.
because they had rejected and disobeyed all my laws [DOU] and desecrated the Sabbath days, and they had eagerly [to worship] the idols that their [had worshiped].
25 २५ म्हणून मी देखील जे चांगले नाहित असे नियम त्यांना दिले, ज्यांनी ते जगावयाचे नाहीत असे निर्णय मी त्यास दिले.
I also allowed them to obey laws that were not good, and laws that would not enable them to live [a long time if they obeyed them].
26 २६ त्यांच्या मिळालेल्या देणगी व्दारे मी त्यांना अशुद्ध केले. हे सर्व झाल्यामुळे त्यांना गर्भाशयातून प्रथम जन्मलेल्या बालकांचा अग्नीत होम केला, हे केल्याने त्यांनी भीती बाळगावी आणि समजावे की मी परमेश्वर देव आहे.
I allowed them to become unacceptable to me by their sacrificing their firstborn children in the fire. I did that in order that they would be horrified, and in order that they would know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
27 २७ यास्तव हे मानवाच्या मुला इस्राएल घराण्याला जाहिरपणे सांग की, प्रभू परमेश्वर देव असे म्हणतो त्यांना सांग, तुम्ही तुमच्या वाडवडीलांनी माझा विश्वासघात केला असून देवनिंदक शब्द बोललेत ते अशा प्रकारे
Therefore, you human, speak to the Israeli people. Say this to them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says [to you]: This is one way that your ancestors dishonored me by turning away from me.
28 २८ मी आपले हाथ उंचावून शपथ घेऊन दिलेल्या देशात मी त्यांना आणिले, तेव्हा त्यांनी प्रत्येक उंच टेकडी आणि दाट छायेचे वृक्ष पाहून मला संतापावण्यासाठी तेथे त्यांनी यज्ञबली अर्पिली. तेथे त्यांनी सुवासीक धुप जाळीला व पेयार्पण अर्पिली.
After I brought them into the land that I had solemnly promised to give to them, every time that they saw a high hill or a [big] green tree, they offered [to idols] there. They made offerings to them, and that caused me to become angry. They presented to those idols their fragrant burning incense, and poured out wine offerings to them.
29 २९ तेव्हा मी त्यास म्हणालो, तुम्ही ज्या उंचवटयांवर जाऊन जेथे तुम्ही अर्पण करता? त्या ठिकाणास आजवर उंचवटा म्हटले आहे.
[Then] I asked them, “Who [RHQ] [told you to worship at] a shrine like this, here on this hilltop?” So they are still called “hilltop shrines”.’
30 ३० ह्यासाठी इस्राएलाच्या घराण्यास सांग, परमेश्वर देव असे म्हणतो काय? तुम्ही आपल्या वाडवडीलांना मार्गास लागून स्वत: ला विटाळवीता काय? आणि वेश्ये प्रमाणे कृती करून किळस आणणाऱ्या गोष्टीचा शोध घेता?
Therefore, say this to the Israeli people [MTY]: 'This is what Yahweh the Lord says: “You are going to [RHQ] defile yourselves like your ancestors did by strongly [to worship] their disgusting [statues of idols].
31 ३१ आपली अर्पणे वाहून आपल्या पुत्रांना अग्नीत होम करून आजपर्यंत मूर्तीपुजेमुळे तुम्ही स्वतःला अशुद्ध केलेत, हे इस्राएलाच्या घराण्यांनो मी तुम्हास प्रश्न विचारु देणार नाही, प्रभू परमेश्वर म्हणतो, माझ्या जीविताची शपथ ही माझी घोषणा आहे, मी तुम्हास प्रश्न विचारु देणार नाही.
When you sacrifice your children in the fire, you are still continuing to make yourselves unacceptable to me [worshiping] your many idols. You Israeli people, should I allow you to [what I want you to do]? I, Yahweh the Lord, say that [as surely] as I am alive, [I will not answer] if you inquire.'
32 ३२ तुमच्या मनात येणारे विचार तरंग बाहेर येतील, तुम्ही म्हणता, चला इतर राष्ट्राप्रमाणे तेथील जमाती काष्ट पाषाणाची पुजा करतात तशी आपण करु.
You say, ‘We want to be like the [other] nations, like the [other] people-groups in the world. We want to [idols made of] wood and [like they do].’ But what you want will never happen.
33 ३३ ही प्रभू परमेश्वर देव घोषणा करतो, मी खात्रीने आपले बाहु उभारुन पराक्रमाने तुमच्यावर राज्य करीन.
[I], Yahweh your Lord, say that [as surely] as I am alive, I will use my great power [DOU, MTY] to rule over you, and show that I am angry with you.
34 ३४ मी राष्ट्रातून तुम्हास बाहेर आणिन, आणि जेथे जेथे तुमची पांगापांग झाली तेथून आणून तुम्हास एकत्र करीन मी हे आपल्या प्रबळ बाहूने उगारलेल्या हाताने कोपवृष्टी करीन.
With my great power I will gather you from the places to which you have been scattered,
and I will bring you to a [that is surrounded] by [other] nations. There, while I am looking at you, I will judge you.
36 ३६ ज्या प्रमाणे मिसराच्या रानात तुमच्या वाडवडीलांचा न्याय केला, तसा मी तुमच्या बरोबर करे, हे परमेश्वर देव घोषणा करून सांगत आहे.
I will punish you, like I punished your ancestors in the desert near Egypt.
I will count you [MTY] as you walk by, and I will force you to obey the agreement that I made with you.
38 ३८ तुम्हातील बंडखोर व माझ्याशी फितुर कोण यांची मी साफ सफाई करणार, अल्पकाळ जे इतर राष्ट्रात राहत होते, त्यांना मी बाहेर घालवून देणार व पुनःरुपी ते इस्राएलात प्रवेश करणार नाही. मग तुम्हास कळेल मी परमेश्वर देव आहे.
I will get rid of those people among you who rebel [DOU] against me. Although I will bring them out [Babylonia], where they are now living, they will not enter Israel. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
39 ३९ मग त इस्राएलाच्या घराण्या परमेश्वर देव असे म्हणत आहे, प्रत्येक जण त्यांच्या मूर्ती मागे गेले आहेत, त्यांची उपासना करून त्यांनी माझे ऐकण्याचे नाकारले आहे, पण तू आता माझ्या पवित्र वस्तूबद्दल मूर्तीला भेट देऊन यापुढे माझा अनादर करणार नाही.
As for you Israeli people [MTY], this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: 'Go and worship your idols now [IRO], each of you. But [afterwards], you will [surely] heed me and no longer dishonor me [MTY] by taking gifts to your idols.
40 ४० माझ्या पवित्र पर्वतावर, इस्राएलाच्या पर्वत शिखरावर हे परमेश्वर देव जाहीर करत आहे, सर्व इस्राएलाचे घराणे त्यांच्या भूमित माझी आराधना करतील. तुझ्या अर्पणांनी मी तेथे आनंदी होईन आणि पवित्र ठिकाणी आणलेल्या खंडणीचे प्रथम फळ ते अर्पितील.
[I], Yahweh your Lord, declare that there on my sacred hill, [Zion], that high hill in Israel, you will bring gifts to me, and I will accept them. I will require you to bring to me gifts and offerings there, and your sacrifices that are dedicated to me.
41 ४१ मी त्यांचे सुवासीक अर्पण स्विकारीन, जेव्हा सर्व लोक देशातून एकत्र जमतील जेथून ते विखुरले गेले होते. मी स्वतःला त्यांना पवित्र असे प्रकट करेन, सर्व राष्ट्रे ते बघतील.
When I bring you out from the [other] nations [DOU] to which you have been scattered, I will accept [as though you were] fragrant incense. By doing that, I will show the people of other nations that I have set you apart to belong to me.
42 ४२ जेव्हा मी तुम्हास इस्राएलच्या भूमीत घेऊन येईल, ज्या भूमिला हात उंचावून तुमच्या वाडवडीलांना दिली होती, मग तुम्हास कळेल कि मी परमेश्वर देव आहे.
Then, when I bring you into the land of Israel, the land that I solemnly promised with my hand lifted up that I would give to your ancestors, you will know that I, Yahweh, [have done it].
43 ४३ मग तुम्हास तुमच्या वाईट कृत्यांचे स्मरण होईल, आणि तुमच्या केलेल्या वाईट कृत्याबद्दल तुम्ही तुमच्या स्वत: ची घृणा कराल.
And [in Israel] you will remember how you conducted your lives [previously, you will remember] the actions that caused you to become unacceptable to me, and you will hate/despise yourselves for all the evil things that you have done.
44 ४४ मग तुम्हास कळेल मी परमेश्वर देव आहे, मी हे माझ्या नामास्तव केले, तुमच्या वाईट भ्रष्ट मार्गासाठी केले नाही. इस्राएलाच्या घराण्या हे परमेश्वर देव जाहीर करतो.
When I act toward you Israeli people to protect my reputation, and not [just] because of your evil deeds and corrupt behavior, you Israeli people will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].' That is what Yahweh the Lord declares.”
Yahweh gave me another message. He said,
“You human, turn toward the south. Preach about what will happen to that dry land, to the forest there.
47 ४७ नेगेबच्या रानाला बोल ऐक परमेश्वर देव काय जाहीर करतो; परमेश्वर देव हे म्हणतोय, बघ मी तुझ्यावर अग्नी पाठवीन. ती सर्व झाडाच्या ताज्या फळांना भस्म करेल व झाडे सुकवून टाकेल. आग विझणार नाही; सर्व उत्तर, दक्षिण भाग जळून भस्म होईल.
Say to the forest in the [part of Israel]: 'Listen to this message that Yahweh the Lord is saying [about you]: “I am about to start a fire in your midst, and it will burn up all your trees, [both] the green trees and the withered/dry trees. Nothing will extinguish the blazing flames. And the fire will scorch the faces of everyone [who lives] in that area, from the south to the north.
Everyone will see that it is I, Yahweh, who have lit this fire, and no one will [be able to] put it out.” '”
Then I said, “Yahweh, my Lord, [when I tell things like this to people, they do not believe me]. They say about me, ‘He is only telling parables.’”
