निर्गम 13
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
2 २ “इस्राएली लोकांमध्ये मनुष्याचा व पशूचा या दोहोंचे प्रत्येक प्रथम जन्मलेले सर्व नर माझ्यासाठी पवित्र कर. प्रथम जन्मलेले ते माझे आहेत.”
Hallow to me every firstborn, that which any female first beareth among the sons of Israel, among men and among beasts, —mine! it is.
3 ३ मोशे लोकांस म्हणाला, “आजच्या दिवसाची आठवण ठेवा. तुम्ही मिसर देशात गुलाम म्हणून होता; परंतु या दिवशी परमेश्वराने आपल्या हाताच्या बळाने तुम्हास गुलामगिरीतून सोडवून बाहेर आणले म्हणून तुम्ही खमीर घातलेली भाकर खाऊ नये.
And Moses said unto the people—[Ye are] to remember this day, on which ye came forth out of Egypt out of the house of slaves, that with strength of hand, did Yahweh bring you forth from hence, —there shall not, therefore be eaten anything leavened.
To-day, are, ye, coming forth, —in the month Abib.
5 ५ परमेश्वराने तुमच्या पूर्वजांशी शपथपूर्वक करार केला होता की कनानी, हित्ती, अमोरी, हिव्वी व यबूसी ह्याच्या देशात, जेथे दुधामधाचे प्रवाह वाहतात त्या देशात आणल्यानंतर तुम्ही या महिन्यात ही सेवा करावी.
And it shall be, when Yahweh shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite, and the Hivite and the Jebusite, which he sware to thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, then shalt thou serve with this service, in this month.
Seven days, shalt thou eat unleavened cakes, —and on the seventh day, [shall be] a festival to Yahweh.
7 ७ या सात दिवसात तुम्ही बेखमीर भाकर खावी. तुमच्या देशाच्या हद्दीत कोठेही खमिराचे दर्शनसुध्दा होऊ नये.
Unleavened cakes, shall be eaten for the seven days, —neither shall there be seen with thee anything leavened, nor shall there be seen with thee leaven, within any of thy bounds,
8 ८ या दिवशी परमेश्वराने आम्हांला मिसर देशातून बाहेर आणले म्हणून आम्ही हा सण पाळीत आहोत असे तुम्ही आपल्या पुत्रपौत्रांना सांगावे.
And thou shalt tell thy son, on that day, saying, —[This is] because, of that which Yahweh did for me, when he brought me forth out of Egypt.
9 ९ हे चिन्ह तुझ्या हातावर, तुझ्या दोन्ही डोळ्यांच्या मध्ये स्मारक असे असावे, परमेश्वराचा नियम तुझ्या मुखी असावा. कारण की परमेश्वराने बलवान भुजाने तुला मिसर देशामधून बाहेर आणले.
And it shall be to thee for a sign upon thy hand and for a memorial between thine eyes, in order that the law of Yahweh may be in thy mouth, —for with a strong hand, did Yahweh bring thee forth out of Egypt.
So shalt thou observe this statute in its appointed time, —from year to year.
11 ११ परमेश्वराने तुमच्या पूर्वजांना वचन दिल्याप्रमाणे तो तुम्हास आता कनानी लोक राहत असलेल्या देशात घेऊन जाईल व तो देश तुझ्या हाती देईल.
And it shall be when Yahweh shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanite, as he sware to thee and to thy fathers, —and shalt give it thee,
12 १२ तेव्हा उदरातून निघालेला प्रथम पुरुष व जनावराच्या पोटचा प्रथम वत्स यांना परमेश्वरासाठी वेगळे करावे, सर्व नर परमेश्वराचे होत.
that thou shalt set apart whatsoever is born first, to Yahweh; and, of all firstlings of beasts which thou shalt have, the males, shall pertain to Yahweh.
13 १३ गाढवाचा प्रथम वत्स एक कोकरू देऊन सोडवून घ्यावा; त्याचा मोबदला काही न दिल्यास त्याची मान मुरगाळावी. तुझ्या मुलातील प्रथम नर मोबदला देऊन सोडवून घ्यावा.
But every firstling of an ass, shalt thou redeem with a lamb or if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break its neck, —but every firstborn of men among thy sons, shalt thou redeem.
14 १४ पुढील काळी तुमची मुलेबाळे विचारतील की हे काय? तेव्हा त्यांना सांग, ‘मिसर देशातून गुलामगिरीतून परमेश्वराने आम्हांला आपल्या हाताच्या बलाने बाहेर काढले.
And it shall be when thy son shall ask thee in time to come, saying, What is this? Then shalt thou say unto him: With strength of hand, did Yahweh bring us forth out of Egypt out of the house of slaves.
15 १५ आणि फारो आम्हांस मिसर सोडून जाऊ देईना, तेव्हा परमेश्वराने मिसर देशामधील मनुष्य व पशू यांचे सर्व प्रथम नर मारून टाकले; आणि म्हणूनच आम्ही उदरातून निघालेल्या सर्व प्रथम नरांचा मी परमेश्वरास बली अर्पितो. पण माझे सर्व ज्येष्ठ पुत्र देऊन सोडवून घेतो.
And it came to pass when Pharaoh had shown himself too hardened to let us go, then did Yahweh slay every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of men even unto the firstborn of beasts. For this cause, am, I, sacrificing to Yahweh whatsoever is born first, of the males, and every firstborn of my sons, must I redeem.
16 १६ तुझ्या हातावर आणि तुझ्या दोहो डोळ्यांच्या मध्यभागी हे स्मारक चिन्ह व्हावे. कारण परमेश्वराने आपल्या हाताच्या बलाने आम्हांला मिसर देशातून बाहेर आणले.”
And it shall be for a sign upon thy hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes, —that, with strength of hand, did Yahweh bring us forth out of Egypt.
17 १७ फारोने लोकांस जाऊ दिले, परंतु परमेश्वराने लोकांस पलिष्टी लोकांच्या देशातून जवळची वाट असताना देखील त्यातून जाऊ दिले नाही “युध्द प्रसंग पाहून हे लोक माघार घेऊन मिसर देशाला परत जातील, असे देवाला वाटले.”
And it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead by the land-way of the Philistines, although it was near, —for God said—Lest the people be dismayed when they see war and turn back to Egypt.
18 १८ म्हणून देवाने त्यांना दुसऱ्या मार्गाने तांबड्या समुद्राजवळील रानातून नेले. इस्राएल लोक मिसरामधून सशस्त्र बाहेर निघाले होते.
So God took the people round the desert-way of the Red Sea, —and the sons of Israel went up armed, out of the land of Egypt.
19 १९ मोशेने योसेफाच्या अस्थी आपल्याबरोबर घेतल्या. कारण मरण्यापूर्वी योसेफाने आपणाकरता इस्राएली पुत्रांकडून वचन घेतले होते. तो म्हणाला होता, “देव जेव्हा तुम्हास मिसरमधून सोडवील तेव्हा माझ्या अस्थी मिसरमधून घेऊन जाण्याची आठवण ठेवा.”
And Moses took the bones of Joseph, with him, —for he had, taken an oath, of the sons of Israel saying, God will, surely visit, you, so then ye shall carry up my bones from hence with you.
And they brake up from Succoth, —and encamped in Etham, at the edge of the desert.
21 २१ त्यांनी रात्रंदिवस चालावे म्हणून परमेश्वर दिवसा त्यांना मार्ग दाखविण्यासाठी मेघस्तंभाच्या ठायी आणि रात्री त्यांना प्रकाश देण्यासाठी अग्नीस्तंभाच्या ठायी त्यांच्यापुढे चालत असे.
Now, Yahweh, was going before them—by day, in a pillar of cloud to lead them the way, and by night, in a pillar of fire to give them light, —that they might journey day and night:
the pillar of cloud by day ceased not, nor the pillar of fire by night, —from before the people.
