२ तीम. 2
Thou, therefore, my child, be strong in the grace that [is] in Christ Jesus,
2 २ माझ्याकडून ज्या गोष्टी तू पुष्कळ साक्षीदारांसमोर ऐकल्यास त्या घे व इतरांना शिकविण्यास समर्थ अशा विश्वासू लोकांस सोपवून दे.
and the things that thou didst hear from me through many witnesses, these things be committing to stedfast men, who shall be sufficient also others to teach;
thou, therefore, suffer evil as a good soldier of Jesus Christ;
4 ४ सैनिकाचे काम करणारा कोणीही जीवनातील संसाराच्या कामकाजात अडकत नाही. यासाठी की त्यास आपल्या वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्याला संतुष्ट करता यावे.
no one serving as a soldier did entangle himself with the affairs of life, that him who did enlist him he may please;
and if also any one may strive, he is not crowned, except he may strive lawfully;
the labouring husbandman it behoveth first of the fruits to partake;
be considering what things I say, for the Lord give to thee understanding in all things.
8 ८ माझ्या सुवार्तेप्रमाणे जो मरण पावलेल्यातून उठविलेला दाविदाच्या वंशातला येशू ख्रिस्त, याची आठवण कर.
Remember Jesus Christ, raised out of the dead, of the seed of David, according to my good news,
9 ९ कारण त्या सुवार्तेमुळे मी दुःख सहन करत आहे, येथपर्यंत की गुन्हेगाराप्रमाणे साखळदंडानी मला बांधण्यात आले, पण देवाचे वचन बांधले गेले नाही.
in which I suffer evil — unto bonds, as an evil-doer, but the word of God hath not been bound;
10 १० ह्यामुळे देवाच्या निवडलेल्यांसाठी मी सर्वकाही धीराने सोशीत आहे, म्हणजे त्यांनाही ख्रिस्त येशूद्वारे मिळणारे तारण व सर्वकाळचे गौरव प्राप्त व्हावे. (aiōnios g166)
because of this all things do I endure, because of the choice ones, that they also salvation may obtain that [is] in Christ Jesus, with glory age-during. (aiōnios g166)
Stedfast [is] the word: For if we died together — we also shall live together;
12 १२ जर आम्ही दुःख सहन केले तर आम्ही त्याच्याबरोबर राज्यसुद्धा करू जर आम्ही त्यास नाकारले, तर तोसुध्दा आम्हास नाकारील
if we do endure together — we shall also reign together; if we deny [him], he also shall deny us;
if we are not stedfast, he remaineth stedfast; to deny himself he is not able.
14 १४ लोकांस या गोष्टीची आठवण करून देत राहा. देवासमोर त्यांना निक्षून ताकीद दे की, शब्दयुद्ध करू नका. असे भांडण कोणत्याही फायद्याचे नाही. जे कोणाच्याही उपयोगी न पडता ऐकणाऱ्यांच्या नाशास कारण होते.
These things remind [them] of, testifying fully before the Lord — not to strive about words to nothing profitable, but to the subversion of those hearing;
15 १५ तू सत्याचे वचन योग्य रीतीने सांगणारा असा आणि जे काम करतोस त्यामध्ये लाज वाटण्यासारखे काहीही कारण नसलेला देवास स्वीकृत असा कामकरी होण्याचा प्रयत्न कर.
be diligent to present thyself approved to God — a workman irreproachable, rightly dividing the word of the truth;
and the profane vain talkings stand aloof from, for to more impiety they will advance,
17 १७ आणि अशाप्रकारे वादविवाद करणाऱ्यांची शिकवण कर्करोगासारखी पसरते. या लोकांमध्ये हूमनाय आणि फिलेत आहेत,
and their word as a gangrene will have pasture, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus,
18 १८ ते सत्यापासून दूर गेले आहेत. पुनरुत्थान होऊन गेले आहे असे ते म्हणतात आणि कित्येकांच्या विश्वासाचा नाश करीतात.
who concerning the truth did swerve, saying the rising again to have already been, and do overthrow the faith of some;
19 १९ तथापि देवाने घातलेला पाया स्थिर राहीला आहे, त्यास हा शिक्का आहे की, “प्रभू जे त्याचे आहेत त्यांना ओळखतो,” आणि “जो कोणी प्रभूचे नाव घेतो त्याने अनीतीपासून दूर रहावे.”
sure, nevertheless, hath the foundation of God stood, having this seal, 'The Lord hath known those who are His,' and 'Let him depart from unrighteousness — every one who is naming the name of Christ.'
20 २० मोठ्या घरात केवळ सोन्याचांदीची भांडी असतात असे नाही तर लाकूड व माती यापासून बनवलेलीही असतात. काही सन्मानास व काही अवमानास नेमलेली असतात.
And in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth, and some to honour, and some to dishonour:
21 २१ म्हणून जर कोणी त्यापासून दूर राहून स्वतःला शुद्ध करील, तर तो पवित्र केलेले, मालकाला उपयोगी पडणारे, प्रत्येक चांगल्या कामास तयार केलेले असे मानाचे पात्र होईल.
if, then, any one may cleanse himself from these, he shall be a vessel to honour, sanctified and profitable to the master — to every good work having been prepared,
22 २२ पण तरुणपणाच्या वासनांपासून दूर पळ आणि जे प्रभूला शुद्ध अंतःकरणाने हाक मारतात व प्रभूवर विश्वास ठेवतात, अशांच्या बरोबर, नीतिमत्त्व, विश्वास, प्रीती आणि शांती यांच्यामागे लाग.
and the youthful lusts flee thou, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those calling upon the Lord out of a pure heart;
23 २३ परंतु मूर्खपणाच्या व अज्ञानाच्या वादविवादापासून दूर राहा कारण तुला माहीत आहे की, त्यामुळे भांडणे निर्माण होतात.
and the foolish and uninstructed questions be avoiding, having known that they beget strife,
24 २४ देवाच्या सेवकाने भांडू नये, तर सर्व लोकांशी सौम्यतेने वागावे, तसेच शिक्षणात कुशल व सहनशील असावे.
and a servant of the Lord it behoveth not to strive, but to be gentle unto all, apt to teach, patient under evil,
25 २५ जे त्यास विरोध करतात, त्यांना लीनतेने शिक्षण द्यावे कदाचित त्यांनी खरेपण जाणावे म्हणून देव त्यांना पश्चात्ताप करण्याची बुद्धी देईल.
in meekness instructing those opposing — if perhaps God may give to them repentance to an acknowledging of the truth,
and they may awake out of the devil's snare, having been caught by him at his will.
