2 शमुवेल 6
And David assembled again all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
2 २ आणि दावीद आपल्याजवळ असलेल्या सर्व लोकांसोबत यहूदातील बाला येथे गेला, आणि तेथून देवाचा कोश, ज्यावर ते नाव, म्हणजे करुबांच्या वरती राजासनी बसणारा जो सैन्यांचा परमेश्वर त्याचे नाव लिहिले आहे तो देवाचा कोश वर आणायला चालला.
And David arose, and went with all the people who were with him from Ba'ale-yehudah, to bring up from there the ark of God, the name of which was called by the name of the Lord of hosts, that dwelleth over the cherubim.
3 ३ अबीनादाबाच्या डोंगरावरील घरातून दावीदाच्या लोकांनी हा देवाचा कोश आणला. मग तो एका नव्या गाडीवर ठेवला. अबीनादाबचे पुत्र उज्जा आणि अह्यो हे ती गाडी हाकीत होते.
And they conveyed the ark of God in a new wagon, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was on the hill; and 'Uzzah and Achyo, the sons of Abinadab, guided the new wagon.
4 ४ अबीनादाबाच्या डोंगरावरील घरातून हा देवाचा कोश त्यांनी वाहून आणला. अह्यो देवाच्या कोशापुढे चालू लागला.
When they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was on the hill, [they were] near the ark of God; but Achyo went before the ark.
5 ५ तेव्हा देवदारूच्या लाकडापासून केलेली नानाविध वाद्ये आणि वीणा, सारंगी, डफ, डमरु, झांजा वाजवत दावीद आणि त्याच्या बरोबरचे सर्व इस्राएल लोक नाचत परमेश्वरापुढे चालू लागले.
And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fir-wood, and on harps, and on psalteries, and on tambourines, and with bells, and with cymbals.
6 ६ ते सर्व नाखोनच्या खळ्यापाशी आले तेव्हा बैल अडखळल्याने देवाचा कोश गाडीतून पडायला लागला. तेव्हा उज्जाने तो सावरला.
And when they came to the threshing-floor of Nachon, 'Uzzah put forth [his hand] to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
7 ७ पण परमेश्वराचा कोप त्याच्यावर होऊन उज्जाला मरण आले. देवाच्या कोशाला स्पर्श करून त्याने देवाविषयी अनादर दाखवला. तेव्हा कराराच्या कोशा शेजारीच उज्जा गतप्राण झाला.
And the anger of the Lord was kindled against 'Uzzah; and God smote him there for the error; and he died there by the ark of God.
8 ८ परमेश्वरने उज्जाला ताडना दिली यामुळे दावीद फार दु: खी झाला आणि त्याने या जागेचे नाव पेरेस-उज्जा म्हणजे, उज्जाला शासन, असे ठेवले. आजही ते नाव प्रचलित आहे.
And it was grievous to David, because the Lord had suddenly taken away 'Uzzah; and he called that place Perez-'uzzah [[Breach of 'Uzzah]] until this day.
9 ९ मात्र दावीदाला त्या दिवशी परमेश्वराचा धाक वाटू लागला तो मनात म्हणाला, “आता मी हा पवित्र कोश माझ्याकडे कसा आणू?”
And David was afraid of the Lord on that day, and said, How shall the ark of the Lord come to me?
10 १० परमेश्वराचा पवित्र कोश (पवित्र कोशाची पेटी) आपल्याबरोबर दावीद नगरात आणण्याची दावीदाची इच्छा नव्हती, त्या ऐवजी, त्याने तो कोश (दावीदानगरात न हलवता) एका बाजूस नेऊन ओबेद-अदोम गित्ती याच्या घरी ठेवला.
So David would not allow to have the ark of the Lord removed unto him into the city of David; but David had it carried round into the house of 'Obed-edom the Gittite.
And the ark of the Lord remained in the house of 'Obed-edom the Gittite three months: and the Lord blessed 'Obed-edom, and all his household.
12 १२ पुढे लोक दावीदाला म्हणाले, “ओबेद-अदोमाच्या कुटुंबाला आणि त्याच्या सर्व मालमत्तेला परमेश्वराचा आशीर्वाद आहे.” कारण देवाचा कोश तेथेच आहे. तेव्हा दावीदाने तो पवित्र कोश त्याच्या घरातून आपल्याकडे आणला. यावेळी दावीदाचा आनंद गगनात मावत नव्हता.
And it was told to king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of 'Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God: and David then went and brought up the ark of God from the house of 'Obed-edom into the city of David with joy.
13 १३ परमेश्वराचा कोश वाहून नेणारे लोक सहा पावले चालून गेल्यावर दावीदाने एक बैल आणि एक धष्टपुष्ट गोऱ्हा यांचे अर्पण केले.
And it happened, that when the bearers of the ark of the Lord had progressed six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling.
And David danced with all his might before the Lord; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
15 १५ दावीद आणि सर्व इस्राएल लोक आनंदाने बेभान झाले होते. नगरात परमेश्वराचा कोश आणताना ते जयजयकार करत होते. शिंग वाजवत होते.
So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the cornet.
16 १६ शौलाची कन्या मीखल हे सर्व खिडकीतून पाहत होती. परमेश्वराचा कोश नगरात आणत असताना दावीद त्याच्यापुढे नाचत उड्या मारत होता. मीखलने हे पाहिले तेव्हा तिला त्याचा विट वाटला. दावीद स्वतःचे हसे करून घेत आहे असे तिला वाटले.
And it happened, as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked through the window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.
17 १७ या कराराच्या कोशासाठी दावीदाने राहुटी उभारली होती. त्यामध्ये योग्य जागी इस्राएली लोकांनी तो ठेवला. मग दावीदाने परमेश्वरा पुढे होमार्पणे आणि शांत्यर्पणे वाहिली.
And they brought in the ark of the Lord, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt-offerings before the Lord and peace-offerings.
18 १८ होमार्पणे व शांत्यर्पणे केल्यावर दावीदाने सर्वांना सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वराच्या नावाने आशीर्वाद दिले.
And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offerings and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.
19 १९ शिवाय इस्राएलाच्या प्रत्येक स्त्री पुरूषास त्याने भाकरीचा तुकडा, खिसमिसाच्या ढेपेचा तुकडा आणि खजूर मिश्रित भाकरीचा तुकडा दिला. मग सर्वजण आपापल्या घरी गेले.
And he dealt out to all the people, to the whole multitude of Israel, to both men and women, to every person one cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine: and all the people departed every one to his house.
20 २० मग दावीद घरातील सर्वांना आशीर्वाद द्यायला घरात आला. तेव्हा शौलकन्या मीखल हिने त्यास गाठले आणि ती म्हणाली, “इस्राएलाच्या राजाने आज आपला सन्मान राखला नाही. नोकरा-चाकरांसमोर, दासीसमोर त्या मूर्खांपैकीच एक असल्याप्रमाणे तुम्ही आपले वस्त्र काढलेत!”
And David then returned to bless his household. But Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and she said, How honored was today the king of Israel, who uncovered himself today before the eyes of the hand-maids of his servants, as only one of the low fellows can uncover himself!
21 २१ तेव्हा दावीद तिला म्हणाला, “तुझे वडील किंवा तुझ्या घराण्यातील दुसरे कोणी या सर्वांना सोडून परमेश्वराने मला निवडले आहे. सर्व इस्राएलांचा मी नेता आहे. तेव्हा मी परमेश्वरापुढे असाच नाचतगात जाणार.
And David said unto Michal, Before the Lord, who chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to ordain me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: —yea, before the Lord will I yet farther play.
22 २२ मी याच्याही पुढची पायरी गाठीन. तुला आदर नसेल कदाचित् पण ज्या दासींचा तू उल्लेख केलास त्यांना माझ्याबद्दल आभिमान वाटतो.”
And should I be yet more vile than thus, and should I be base in my own eyes: yet among the maid-servants of whom thou hast spoken, yea, among them would I still be honored.
And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child until the day of her death.
