2 शमुवेल 3
1 १ दावीद आणि शौल यांच्या घराण्यांमध्ये दीर्घकाळ युध्द चालू राहिले. काही दिवसानंतर दावीदाची ताकद वाढत चालली तर शौलाचे घराणे कमकुवत बनत गेले.
And the war is long between the house of Saul and the house of David, and David is going on and [is] strong, and the house of Saul is going on and [is] weak.
2 २ हेब्रोन येथे दावीदाला पुत्र झाले, त्यांचा क्रम असा इज्रेलची अहीनवाम हिच्यापासून पाहिला मुलगा झाला तो अम्नोन.
And there are sons born to David in Hebron, and his firstborn is Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess,
3 ३ दुसरा मुलगा किलाब, हा कर्मेलची नाबालची विधवा अबीगईल हिचा मुलगा. अबशालोम तिसरा, गशूरचा राजा तलमय याची मुलगी माका ही याची आई.
and his second [is] Chileab, of Abigail wife of Nabal the Carmelite, and the third [is] Absalom son of Maacah daughter of Talmai king of Geshur,
and the fourth [is] Adonijah son of Haggith, and the fifth [is] Shephatiah son of Abital,
and the sixth [is] Ithream, of Eglah wife of David; these have been born to David in Hebron.
And it comes to pass, in the war being between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner has been strengthening himself in the house of Saul,
7 ७ शौलाची रिस्पा नामक उपपत्नी असून ती अय्याची मुलगी होती. ईश-बोशेथ अबनेरला म्हणाला, “माझ्या वडिलांच्या दासीशी तू शारीरिक संबध का ठेवतोस?”
and Saul has a concubine, and her name [is] Rizpah daughter of Aiah, and [Ish-Bosheth] says to Abner, “Why have you gone in to the concubine of my father?”
8 ८ या बोलण्याचा अबनेरला संताप आला. तो म्हणाला, मी काय यहूदाच्या असलेल्या कुत्र्याचे डोके आहे? शौलाशी आणि त्याच्या घराण्याशी मी एकनिष्ठ राहिलेलो आहे. दावीदाच्या हातून मी तुमचा पराभव होऊ दिला नाही. मी विश्वासघात केला नाही, पण आता तू मला या स्त्रीच्या संदर्भात दोष देत आहेस.
And it is exceedingly displeasing to Abner, because of the words of Ish-Bosheth, and he says, “[Am] I the head of a dog—that in reference to Judah, today I do kindness with the house of your father Saul, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David—that you charge against me iniquity concerning the woman today?
9 ९ आता मात्र मी निश्चित सांगतो की, परमेश्वराने भाकित केल्याप्रमाणे सर्व घडेल. माझ्या हातून आता हे सर्व प्रत्यक्षात आले नाही, तर देव खुशाल माझे वाईट करो.
Thus God does to Abner, and thus He adds to him, surely as YHWH has sworn to David—surely so I do to him:
10 १० शौलाच्या घराण्याकडून राज्य काढून घेऊन ते दावीदाकडे सोपवण्याचे भाकित परमेश्वराने केले आहे. परमेश्वर दावीदाला इस्राएल आणि यहूदा यांचा राजा करणार आहे. दानपासून बैर-शेब्यापर्यंत त्याचे राज्य असेल.
to cause the kingdom to pass over from the house of Saul, and to raise up the throne of David over Israel, and over Judah, from Dan even to Beer-Sheba.”
And he is not able to return a word [to] Abner anymore, because of his fearing him.
12 १२ अबनेरने दूताकरवी दावीदाला निरोप पाठवला, “या प्रदेशावर कोणी राज्य करावे असे तुला वाटते? माझ्याशी करार कर. म्हणजे इस्राएलचा राजा म्हणून तुला मान्यता मिळवून द्यायला मी मदत करीन.”
And Abner sends messengers to David for himself, saying, “Whose [is] the land?” [And] saying, “Make your covenant with me, and behold, my hand [is] with you, to bring around all Israel to you.”
13 १३ यावर दावीद म्हणाला, “हे छान झाले मी करार करायला तयार आहे. आता माझे एक मागणे आहे. शौलाची मुलगी मीखल हिला आपल्याबरोबर आणलीस तरच मी तुला भेटीन.”
And [David] says, “Good—I make a covenant with you; only, one thing I am asking of you, that is, you do not see my face, except [that] you first bring in Michal daughter of Saul in your coming in to see my face.”
14 १४ शौलाचा मुलगा ईश-बोशेथ याच्याकडे दावीदाने जासूदाकरवी निरोप पाठवला, “माझी पत्नी मीखल हिला माझ्याकडे पाठवून द्यावे. ती मला देण्यात आलेली आहे. तिच्या प्राप्तीसाठी मी शंभर पलिष्ट्यांचा वध केला होता.”
And David sends messengers to Ish-Bosheth son of Saul, saying, “Give up my wife Michal, whom I betrothed to myself with one hundred foreskins of the Philistines.”
And Ish-Bosheth sends, and takes her from a man, from Phaltiel son of Laish,
16 १६ पालटीयेल हा मीखलचा पती तो तिच्या मागोमाग बहूरीमपर्यंत रडत रडत गेला. पण अबनेरने त्यास परत जाण्यास सांगितले तेव्हा तो मागे फिरला.
and her husband goes with her, going on and weeping behind her, to Bahurim, and Abner says to him, “Go, return”; and he turns back.
17 १७ अबनेराने इस्राएलाच्या वडीलधाऱ्या मंडळीकडे निरोप पाठवला, “दावीदाला राजा करावे असे तुमच्या मनात होते.
And the word of Abner was with [the] elderly of Israel, saying, “Thus far you have been seeking David for king over you,
18 १८ आता ते प्रत्यक्षात आणा परमेश्वराने दावीदा विषयी म्हटले आहे, पलिष्टी लोक आणि इतर शत्रू यांच्यापासून मी माझ्या इस्राएल लोकांचे संरक्षण करीन. माझा सेवक दावीद याच्यामार्फत मी हे करीन.”
and now, do [it], for YHWH has spoken of David saying, [It is] by the hand of my servant David to save My people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.”
19 १९ अबनेरने हे सर्व हेब्रोन येथे दावीदाच्या कानावर घातले. बन्यामीन घराण्यातील लोकांशीही तो या विषयी बोलला त्यांना आणि इस्राएल लोकांस ते चांगले वाटले.
And Abner also speaks in the ears of Benjamin, and Abner also goes to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that [is] good in the eyes of Israel, and in the eyes of all the house of Benjamin,
20 २० एवढे झाल्यावर तो आपल्या बरोबर वीस जणांना घेऊन हेब्रोन येथे दावीदाकडे आला. दावीदाने अबनेर आणि त्याच्या बरोबरचे हे सर्व लोक यांना मेजवानी दिली.
and Abner comes to David, to Hebron, and twenty men [are] with him, and David makes a banquet for Abner and for the men who [are] with him.
21 २१ अबनेर दावीदाला म्हणाला, “महाराज, सर्व इस्राएल लोकांस मी आता आपल्या पायाशी एकत्र आणतो. ते तुमच्याशी करार करतील. मग आपल्या इच्छेप्रमाणे तुम्ही इस्राएलवर राज्य कराल.” तेव्हा दावीदाने अबनेरला निरोप दिला. अबनेर शांततेने परत गेला.
And Abner says to David, “I arise, and go, and gather the whole of Israel to my lord the king, and they make a covenant with you, and you have reigned over all that your soul desires”; and David sends Abner away, and he goes in peace.
22 २२ इकडे यवाब आणि दावीदाचे लोक युध्दावरून परत आले. त्यांनी शत्रूकडून बऱ्याच मौल्यवान वस्तू लुटून आणल्या. दावीदाने निरोप दिल्यावर अबनेर नुकताच शांतचित्ताने तेथून गेला होता. तेव्हा हेब्रोन येथे दावीदाजवळ तो अर्थातच नव्हता.
And behold, the servants of David, and Joab, have come from the troop, and have brought much spoil with them, and Abner is not with David in Hebron, for he has sent him away, and he goes in peace;
23 २३ यवाब सर्वसैन्यासह हेब्रोन येथे आला. सैन्यातील लोक यवाबाला म्हणाले, “नेरचा मुलगा अबनेर दावीदराजाकडे आलेला होता आणि दावीदाने त्यास शांत मनाने जाऊ दिले.”
and Joab and all the host that [were] with him have come, and they declare to Joab, saying, “Abner son of Ner has come to the king, and he sends him away, and he goes in peace.”
24 २४ तेव्हा यवाब राजाकडे आला आणि म्हणाला, “हे आपण काय केलेत? अबनेर येथे आलेला असताना तुम्ही त्यास तसेच जाऊ दिलेत! असे का?
And Joab comes to the king and says, “What have you done? Behold, Abner has come to you! Why [is] this—you have sent him away, and he is really gone?
You have known Abner son of Ner, that he came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you are doing.”
26 २६ मग दावीदाकडून निघून यवाबाने आपले दूत अबनेरच्या मागावर पाठवले. त्यांनी त्यास सिरा विहिरीजवळ गाठले आणि परत आणले. दावीदाला याची काहीच कल्पना नव्हती.
And Joab goes out from David, and sends messengers after Abner, and they bring him back from the well of Sirah, and David did not know.
27 २७ हेब्रोन येथे त्यास आणल्यावर यवाबाने त्यास गुप्त मसलत करण्यासाठी म्हणून वेशीच्या आत घेतले आणि अबनेरच्या पोटावर वार केला. अबनेर गतप्राण झाला. यवाबाचा भाऊ असाएल याला अबनेराने मारले होते त्याचा यवाबाने सूड उगवला.
And Abner turns back to Hebron, and Joab turns him aside to the midst of the gate to speak with him quietly, and strikes him there in the fifth [rib]—and he dies—for the blood of his brother Asahel.
28 २८ दावीदाला हे वृत्त समजले तेव्हा तो म्हणाला, “नेरचा मुलगा अबनेर याच्या खुनाच्या बाबतीत मी आणि माझे राज्य निर्दोष आहोत, परमेश्वर हे जाणतो.
And David hears afterward and says, “My kingdom and I [are] acquitted by YHWH for all time, from the blood of Abner son of Ner;
29 २९ यवाब आणि त्याचे कुटुंबीय या कृत्याला जबाबदार आहेत. तेव्हा अपराधी ते आहेत. याचे फळ त्यांना भोगावे लागेल त्याच्या वंशातील लोक महारोग, पंगुत्व यांनी ग्रासले जातील, युध्दात मारले जातील. त्यांची अन्नान्नदशा होईल.”
it stays on the head of Joab, and on all the house of his father, and there is not cut off from the house of Joab one who has discharging, and leprous, and laying hold on a staff, and falling by a sword, and lacking bread.”
30 ३० गिबोनच्या लढाईत अबनेरने असाएलला मारले. आपल्या भावाच्या वधाचे प्रत्युत्तर म्हणून यवाब आणि अबीशय यांनी अबनेरला मारले.
And Joab and his brother Abishai slew Abner because that he put their brother Asahel to death in Gibeon, in battle.
31 ३१ दावीदाने यवाब व त्याच्या बरोबरचे सर्व लोक यांना सांगितले, “तुमची ही वस्त्रे फाडा आणि शोक झाला असल्याचे दाखवणारी वस्त्रे घाला.” अबनेरच्या मृत्युबद्दल दुःख व्यक्त करा.
And David says to Joab, and to all the people who [are] with him, “Tear your garments, and gird on sackcloth, and mourn before Abner”; and King David is going after the bier.
32 ३२ त्यांनी हेब्रोन येथे अबनेरचे दफन केले. दावीद अत्यंविधीला हजर होता. अबनेरच्या कबरीपाशी राजा आणि इतर सर्वजण यांनी विलाप केला.
And they bury Abner in Hebron, and the king lifts up his voice, and weeps at the grave of Abner, and all the people weep;
and the king laments for Abner and says, “Does Abner die as the death of a fool?
34 ३४ अबनेर, अरे, तुझ्या हातात बेड्या नव्हत्या, पाय साखळदंडांनी बांधले नव्हते. नाही रे, तुला कपटी लोकांनी मारले.” मग पुन्हा सर्वांनी अबनेरसाठी शोक व्यक्त केला.
Your hands not bound, And your feet not brought near to chains! You have fallen as one falling before sons of evil!” And all the people add to weep over him.
35 ३५ दावीदाने काही तरी खाऊन घ्यावे म्हणून दिवसभर लोकांनी त्याची मनधरणी केली. पण दावीदाने एक निर्धार केला होता. सूर्यास्तापूर्वी मी भाकर किंवा तत्सम काहीही खाल्ले तरी देव मला शासन करो, मला संकटात टाको असे तो बोलला होता.
And all the people come to cause David to eat bread while yet day, and David swears, saying, “Thus God does to me, and thus He adds, for—before the going in of the sun, I taste no bread or any other thing.”
And all the people have discerned [it], and it is good in their eyes, as all that the king has done is good in the eyes of all the people;
and all the people know, even all Israel, in that day, that it has not been from the king—to put Abner son of Ner to death.
38 ३८ दावीद राजा आपल्या सेवकांना म्हणाला, आज एक मुख्य आणि महत्वाचा पुढारी इस्राएलमध्ये मारला गेला हे तुम्ही जाणत नाही काय?
And the king says to his servants, “Do you not know that a prince and a great one has fallen this day in Israel?
39 ३९ आज जरी मी आभिषिक्त राजा आहे, तरी मी अशक्त आहे. सरुवेच्या मुलांचे हे वर्तन मला फार त्रासदायक झाले आहे. परमेश्वर त्यांच्या गुन्ह्याबद्दल त्यांना तसेच शासन करो.
And today I [am] tender, and an anointed king: and these men, sons of Zeruiah, [are] too hard for me; YHWH repays to the doer of the evil according to his evil.”
