2 राजे 15
1 १ इस्राएलचा राजा यराबाम याच्या कारकिर्दीच्या सत्ताविसाव्या वर्षी यहूदाचा राजा अमस्या याचा मुलगा अजऱ्या राज्य करू लागला.
In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam’s reign over Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah became king of Judah.
2 २ अजऱ्या राज्य करू लागला तेव्हा तो सोळा वर्षांचा होता. आणि त्याने यरूशलेमामध्ये बावन्न वर्षे राज्य केले. त्याच्या आईचे नाव यखल्या असून ती यरूशलेमेतील होती.
He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother’s name was Jecoliah; she was from Jerusalem.
3 ३ अजऱ्याचे वर्तन आपल्या वडिलांप्रमाणेच परमेश्वराने सांगितले तसे उचित होते. आपले वडिल अमस्या जसे वागले तसाच हाही वागला.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Amaziah had done.
Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away; the people continued sacrificing and burning incense there.
5 ५ परमेश्वराने राजाला दु: ख दिले आणि अजऱ्याला कुष्ठरोग होऊन त्याच्या मरणाच्या दिवसापर्यंत तो वेगळा घरी राहिला. राजाचा मुलगा योथाम त्याच्या घरावर अधिकारी होऊन तोच देशातील लोकांचा न्यायनिवाडा करु लागला.
And the LORD afflicted the king with leprosy until the day he died, so that he lived in a separate house while his son Jotham had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.
6 ६ अजऱ्याच्या राहिलेल्या गोष्टी, आणि त्याने जे केले, ते सर्व यहूदाच्या राजांचा इतिहासाच्या पुस्तकात लिहिलेले नाही काय?
As for the rest of the acts of Azariah, along with all his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
7 ७ आणि अजऱ्या आपल्या पूर्वजांबरोबर निजला. त्यांनी त्यास दाविदाच्या नगरात त्याच्या पूर्वजांसोबत पूरले. त्याचा मुलगा योथाम हा त्यानंतर राजा झाला.
And Azariah rested with his fathers and was buried near them in the City of David. And his son Jotham reigned in his place.
8 ८ यहूदाचा राजा अजऱ्या याच्या अडतिसाव्या वर्षी यराबामाचा मुलगा जखऱ्या याने इस्राएलवर शोमरोनात सहा महिने राज्य केले.
In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria six months.
9 ९ जखऱ्याने परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने जे वाईट तेच केले. याबाबतीत तो आपल्या पूर्वजांप्रमाणेच वागला. नबाटचा मुलगा यराबाम याने इस्राएलाला जी पापे करायला लावली तीच याने केली.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done. He did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
10 १० मग याबेशाचा मुलगा शल्लूम याने जखऱ्याविरुध्द कट करून त्यास लोकांच्या समोर मारून ठार केले. आणि तो त्याच्या जागेवर राजा झाला.
Then Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah, struck him down and killed him in front of the people, and reigned in his place.
11 ११ जखऱ्याने ज्या काही इतर गोष्टी केल्या त्या इस्राएलच्या राजांचा इतिहास, या पुस्तकात लिहिलेल्या आहेत.
As for the rest of the acts of Zechariah, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
12 १२ अशा रीतीने परमेश्वराचे जे वचन त्याने येहूला सांगितले होते ते असे की, “तुझे वंशज चार पिढ्या इस्राएलवर राज्य करतील,” आणि तसेच झाले.
So the word of the LORD spoken to Jehu was fulfilled: “Four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel.”
13 १३ याबेशाचा मुलगा शल्लूम इस्राएलचा राजा झाला तेव्हा, यहूदाचा राजा उज्जीया याचे एकोणचाळीसावे वर्ष चालू होते. शल्लूमने शोमरोनात एक महिना राज्य केले.
In the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah’s reign over Judah, Shallum son of Jabesh became king, and he reigned in Samaria one full month.
14 १४ गादीचा मुलगा मनहेम तिरसाहून वर शोमरोनास गेला आणि त्याने याबेशाचा मुलगा शल्लूम याला मारून ठार केले आणि स्वत: त्याच्या जागेवर राजा झाला.
Then Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah to Samaria, struck down and killed Shallum son of Jabesh, and reigned in his place.
15 १५ आणि शल्लूमच्या राहिलेल्या गोष्टी, त्याने केलेला कट, हे सर्व इस्राएल राजाच्या इतिहासाच्या पुस्तकात लिहिलेले आहे.

16 १६ मनहेमने तिफसाह तसेच त्यातले सर्वजण, तसेच तिरसापासून त्याच्या सीमेमधले सर्वजण जीवे मारले, कारण लोकांनी त्यास नगराची वेस उघडून दिली नाही, म्हणून त्यांने त्यांना मारले. त्याने त्या नगरातल्या सर्व गर्भवती स्त्रियांनाही कापून टाकले.
At that time Menahem, starting from Tirzah, attacked Tiphsah and everyone in its vicinity, because they would not open their gates. So he attacked Tiphsah and ripped open all the pregnant women.
17 १७ यहूदाचा राजा अजऱ्या याच्या शासनाच्या एकोणचाळिसाव्या वर्षात गादीचा मुलगा मनहेम इस्राएलवर राज्य करु लागला. मनहेमने शोमरोनात दहा वर्षे राज्य केले.
In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria ten years.
18 १८ मनहेमने परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने जे वाईट तेच केले. नबाटचा मुलगा यराबाम याच्या ज्या पापांमुळे इस्राएलचा अध: पात झाला तीच पापे मनहेमने आपल्या आयुष्याच्या सर्व दिवसात केली, त्यापासून तो फिरला नाही.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and throughout his reign he did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
19 १९ अश्शूरचा राजा पूल देशावर आला. तेव्हा पूलने आपल्याला पाठिंबा द्यावा आणि आपले राज्य बळकट करावे, या इराद्याने मनहेमने पूलला हजार किक्कार चांदी दिली.
Then Pul king of Assyria invaded the land, and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver in order to gain his support and strengthen his own grip on the kingdom.
20 २० हा पैसा उभा करायला मनहेमने इस्राएलातील श्रीमंत लोकांवर कर बसवला. त्याने प्रत्येकाला पन्नास शेकेल चांदी कर द्यायला लावला. मग ही रक्कम त्याने अश्शूरच्या राजाला दिली. तेव्हा अश्शूरचा राजा परत फिरला. इस्राएलमध्ये तो राहिला नाही.
Menahem exacted this money from each of the wealthy men of Israel—fifty shekels of silver from each man—to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria withdrew and did not remain in the land.

22 २२ मनहेम मरण पावला आणि आपल्या पूर्वजांसोबत झोपी गेला. त्यानंतर त्याचा मुलगा पेकह्या नवीन राजा झाला.
And Menahem rested with his fathers, and his son Pekahiah reigned in his place.
23 २३ अजऱ्याच्या यहूदावरील राज्याच्या पन्नासाव्या वर्षी मनहेमचा मुलगा पेकह्या शोमरोन मधून इस्राएलवर राज्य करु लागला. त्याने दोन वर्षे राज्य केले.
In the fiftieth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king of Israel and reigned in Samaria two years.
24 २४ परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने जे वाईट तेच पेकह्याने केले. नबाटचा मुलगा यराबाम याच्या ज्या पापांमुळे इस्राएलचे अध: पतन झाले तीच पापे पेकह्याने केली.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD and did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
25 २५ रमाल्याचा मुलगा पेकह हा त्याचा सरदार होता. त्याने अर्गोब व अरये आणि गिलादी लोकांतले पन्नास माणसे आपल्यासोबत घेतली, आणि त्याच्याविरुध्द कट करून त्यास शोमरोन मध्ये राजाच्या घरांतल्या महालात मारून ठार केले आणि त्याच्या जागी पेकह राज्य करू लागला.
Then his officer, Pekah son of Remaliah, conspired against him along with Argob, Arieh, and fifty men of Gilead. And at the citadel of the king’s palace in Samaria, Pekah struck down and killed Pekahiah and reigned in his place.

27 २७ रमाल्याचा मुलगा पेकह शोमरोनात इस्राएलवर राज्य करु लागला तेव्हा यहूदाचा राजा अजऱ्या याचे बावन्नावे वर्ष होते. पेकहाने वीस वर्षे राज्य केले.
In the fifty-second year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria twenty years.
28 २८ परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने जे वाईट तेच त्याने केले. नबाटचा मुलगा यराबाम याच्या पापांनी इस्राएलचा अध: पात झाला, त्या पापांपासून तो फिरला नाही.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD and did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
29 २९ पेकह इस्राएलचा राजा असताना, अश्शूरचा राजा तिग्लथ-पिलेसर हा इस्राएलवर चाल करून आला. तिग्लथ-पिलेसरने इयोन, आबेल-बेथ-माका यानोह, केदेश, हासोर, गिलाद, गालील आणि सर्व नफताली प्रांत घेतला. तसेच तेथील सर्व लोकांस कैद करून अश्शूरला नेले.
In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon, Abel-beth-maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, including all the land of Naphtali, and he took the people as captives to Assyria.
30 ३० उज्जीयाचा मुलगा योथाम यहूदावर राज्य करीत असल्याच्या विसाव्या वर्षी, एला याचा मुलगा होशे याने रमाल्याचा मुलगा पेकह याच्याविरुध्द कट केला. होशेने पेकहला ठार केले. पेकह नंतर मग होशे राजा झाला.
Then Hoshea son of Elah led a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah. In the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah, Hoshea attacked Pekah, killed him, and reigned in his place.

32 ३२ रमाल्याचा मुलगा पेकह इस्राएलमध्ये राज्यावर आल्यावर त्याच्या दुसऱ्या वर्षी, यहूदाचा राजा उज्जीया याचा मुलगा योथाम यहूदावर राज्य करु लागला.
In the second year of the reign of Pekah son of Remaliah over Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah became king of Judah.
33 ३३ योथाम तेव्हा पंचवीस वर्षांचा होता. त्याने यरूशलेमामध्ये सोळा वर्षे राज्य केले. सादोकाची मुलगी यरुशा ही त्याची आई.
He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother’s name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Uzziah had done.
35 ३५ पण त्यानेही उंचस्थानावरील पूजास्थळे नष्ट केली नाहीत. लोक तेथे यज्ञ करत, धूप जाळत. परमेश्वराच्या मंदिराला योथामाने एक वरचा दरवाजा बांधला.
Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away; the people continued sacrificing and burning incense there. Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate of the house of the LORD.

37 ३७ अरामाचा राजा रसीन आणि रमाल्याचा मुलगा पेकह यांना यावेळी परमेश्वराने यहूदावर चालून जायला उद्युक्त केले.
(In those days the LORD began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.)
38 ३८ योथाम मरण पावला आणि त्याच्या पूर्वजांशेजारी त्याचे दफन झाले. दावीद नगर या आपल्या पूर्वजांच्या नगरात त्यास पुरले. त्यानंतर त्याचा मुलगा आहाज नवा राजा झाला.
And Jotham rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the City of David his father. And his son Ahaz reigned in his place.
