Besides, I determined this with myself, not to come again to you with sorrow.
2 २ कारण जर मी तुम्हास दुःख देतो, तर ज्याला माझ्यामुळे दुःख होते त्याच्यावाचून मला आनंदित करणारा कोण आहे?
For if I should make you sorry, who then is he that could make me glad, unless the same who is made sorry by me?
3 ३ आणि मी हेच लिहिले होते, म्हणजे मी आल्यावर ज्यांच्याविषयी मी आनंद करावा त्यांच्याकडून मला दुःख होऊ नये, मला तुम्हा सर्वांविषयी विश्वास आहे की, माझा आनंद तो तुम्हा सर्वांचादेखील आहे.
Wherefore, I wrote to you this very thing, that, coming, I might not have sorrow from them in whom I ought to rejoice; being firmly persuaded concerning you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
4 ४ कारण, मी दुःखाने, मनाच्या तळमळीने व अश्रू गाळीत तुम्हास लिहिले ते तुम्ही दुःखी व्हावे म्हणून नाही पण तुमच्यावर जी माझी प्रीती आहे तिची खोली तुम्हास समजावी.
For out of much affliction and distress of heart, I wrote to you with many tears; not that you might be made sorry, but that you might know the love which I have most abundantly toward you.
5 ५ जर कोणी दुःख दिले असेल, तर त्याने केवळ मलाच दुःख दिले, असे नाही, तर काही प्रमाणात तुम्हा सर्वांना दिले आहे. त्यासंबंधी मी फार कठीण होऊ इच्छीत नाही.
Now, if a certain person has grieved me, he has not grieved me except by a part of you, that I may not lay a load on you all.
Sufficient for such a one is the punishment, which was inflicted by the majority.
7 ७ म्हणून, उलट त्यास क्षमा करून तुम्ही त्याचे सांत्वन करावे; यासाठी की अति दुःखाने तो दबून जाऊ नये.
So that, on the other hand, you ought more willingly to forgive and comfort him, lest such a one should be swallowed up by excessive grief.
Wherefore, I beseech you to confirm your love to him.
9 ९ कारण मी तुम्हास या हेतूने लिहिले आहे की, तुम्ही परीक्षेत टिकता की नाही व प्रत्येक बाबतीत तुम्ही आज्ञाधारक राहता की नाही हे पाहावे.
For to this end, also, I wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you be obedient in all things.
10 १० ज्या कोणाला तुम्ही कशाची क्षमा करता त्यास मीही क्षमा करतो, कारण मी क्षमा केली असेल तर ज्या कशाची कोणाला मी क्षमा केली आहे, त्यास तुमच्याकरीता, मी ख्रिस्ताच्या समक्ष केली आहे.
Now, to whom you forgive anything, I also forgive: and even I, if I have now forgiven anything, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes I forgave it, in the person of Christ:
that we may not be overreached by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his devices.
12 १२ आणि पुढे जेव्हा मी ख्रिस्ताच्या सुवार्तेसाठी त्रोवस शहरास आल्यावर आणि प्रभूकडून माझ्यासाठी एक द्वार उघडले गेले,
Moreover, when I came to Troas, in order to declare the gospel of Christ, and a door was opened to me by the Lord;
13 १३ माझा बंधू तीत हा मला सापडला नाही म्हणून माझ्या जीवाला चैन पडेना. मग तेथल्या लोकांचा निरोप घेऊन मी मासेदोनियास निघून गेलो.
I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus, my brother: therefore, bidding them farewell, I went away into Macedonia.
14 १४ पण देवाचे आभार मानतो जो ख्रिस्तामध्ये नेहमी आम्हास विजयाने नेतो आणि त्याच्याविषयीच्या ज्ञानाचा सुगंध प्रत्येक ठिकाणी आमच्याद्वारे सगळीकडे पसरवितो.
Now, thanks be to God, who at all times causes us to triumph in Christ; and who, by us, diffuses the odor of the knowledge of him in every place:
15 १५ कारण ज्यांचे तारण होत आहे अशा लोकात आणि ज्यांचा नाश होत आहे अशा लोकात आम्ही देवाला ख्रिस्ताचा सुवास आहोत.
for we are, through God, a fragrant odor of Christ, among the saved and among the destroyed.
16 १६ ज्या लोकांचा नाश होत आहे, मृत्युचा मरणसूचक वास आणि जे तारले गेले आहेत, जीवनाकडे नेणारा जीवनाचा वास आहोत आणि या गोष्टींसाठी कोण लायक आहे?
To these, indeed, we are the odor of death, ending in death; but to the others, the odor of life, ending in life: and who is competent to these things?
17 १७ कारण दुसर्‍या कित्येकांसारखे देवाच्या वचनाची भेसळ करणारे आम्ही नाही पण आम्ही शुद्ध भावाने, देवाचे म्हणून देवाच्या दृष्टीपुढे ख्रिस्तात बोलतो.
However, we are not like many who adulterate the word of God: but really from sincerity, yes, really from God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ.
