1 शमुवेल 28
1 १ त्या दिवसात असे झाले की पलिष्ट्यांनी आपली सैन्ये इस्राएलाशी लढायला एकत्र केली. तेव्हा आखीश दावीदाला म्हणाला, “तुला आणि तुझ्या मनुष्यांना लढाईस माझ्याबरोबर यायचे हे तू खचित समज.”
And it comes to pass in those days, that the Philistines gather their camps for the war, to fight against Israel, and Achish says to David, “You certainly know that you go out with me into the camp, you and your men.”
2 २ दावीदाने आखीशाला म्हटले, “तुझा दास काय करील हे तू खचित जाणशील.” तेव्हा आखीश दावीदाला म्हणाला, “याकरिता तुला मी आपल्या मस्तकाचा रक्षक असा कायमचा ठेवीन.”
And David says to Achish, “Therefore you know that which your servant does.” And Achish says to David, “Therefore I appoint you keeper of my head [for] all the days.”
3 ३ शमुवेल तर मेला होता व सर्व इस्राएलांनी त्याच्यासाठी शोक करून त्यास रामा येथे त्याच्या नगरात पुरले होते. भूते ज्यांच्या परीचयाची होती अशा जाणत्या लोकांस व जादूगिरांना शौलाने आपल्या प्रदेशातून हाकलून लावले होते.
And Samuel has died, and all Israel mourns for him, and buries him in Ramah, even in his city, and Saul has turned aside those having familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
4 ४ पलिष्ट्यांनी एकत्र जमून शूनेमात येऊन तळ दिला आणि शौलाने सर्व इस्राएलांस एकत्र जमवून गिलबोवा येथे तळ दिला.
And the Philistines are gathered, and come in, and encamp in Shunem, and Saul gathers all Israel, and they encamp in Gilboa,
and Saul sees the camp of the Philistines, and fears, and his heart trembles greatly,
6 ६ शौलाने परमेश्वरास विचारले तेव्हा परमेश्वराने त्यास स्वप्नाकडून किंवा ऊरीमाकडून किंवा भविष्यवाद्यांकडून उत्तर दिले नाही.
and Saul inquires of YHWH, and YHWH has not answered him, either by the dreams, or by the Lights, or by the prophets.
7 ७ मग शौल आपल्या चाकरांना म्हणाला, भूत जिच्या परिचयाचे आहे अशा एखाद्या स्त्रीचा माझ्यासाठी शोध करा, “म्हणजे मी तिच्याकडे जाऊन तिच्याजवळ विचारीन.” तेव्हा त्याच्या चाकरांनी त्यास म्हटले, “पाहा भूत जिच्या परिचयाचे आहे अशी एक स्त्री एन-दोर येथे आहे.”
And Saul says to his servants, “Seek a woman for me possessing a familiar spirit, and I go to her, and inquire of her”; and his servants say to him, “Behold, a woman possessing a familiar spirit [is] in En-dor.”
8 ८ मग शौलाने वेष पालटून निराळी वस्त्रे अंगात घातली आणि तो आपणाबरोबर दोन माणसे घेऊन त्या स्त्रीकडे रात्री गेला आणि त्याने तिला म्हटले, “तुझ्या भूतविद्येने मी तुला सांगेन त्यास माझ्यासाठी वर आण.”
And Saul disguises himself and puts on other garments, and goes, he and two of the men with him, and they come to the woman by night, and he says, “Please divine to me by the familiar spirit, and cause him whom I say to you to come up to me.”
9 ९ तेव्हा ती स्त्री त्यास म्हणाली, “पाहा शौलाने काय केले आहे, त्याने भूते ज्यांच्या परिचयाची आहेत अशा जाणत्यांना व जादूगिरांना देशातून कसे काढून टाकले आहे, हे तू जाणतोस तर मी मरावे असे करण्यासाठी तू कशाला माझ्या जिवाला पाश घालतोस?”
And the woman says to him, “Behold, you have known that which Saul has done, that he has cut off those having familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land; and why are you laying a snare for my soul—to put me to death?”
10 १० तेव्हा शौलाने तिच्याशी शपथ वाहून म्हटले, “परमेश्वर जिवंत आहे, या गोष्टीवरून तुला काही शिक्षा होणार नाही.”
And Saul swears to her by YHWH, saying, “YHWH lives, punishment does not meet you for this thing.”
11 ११ मग त्या स्त्रीने म्हटले, “तुझ्यासाठी मी कोणाला वर आणू?” तेव्हा तो म्हणाला, “माझ्यासाठी शमुवेलाला वर आण.”
And the woman says, “Whom do I bring up to you?” And he says, “Bring up Samuel to me.”
12 १२ त्या स्त्रीने शमुवेलाला पाहिले तेव्हा ती मोठ्याने ओरडली. मग ती स्त्री शौलाला म्हणाली, “तू मला का फसवले, कारण तू शौल आहेस.”
And the woman sees Samuel, and cries with a loud voice, and the woman speaks to Saul, saying, “Why have you deceived me? For you [are] Saul!”
13 १३ राजा तिला म्हणाला, “भिऊ नको. तू काय पाहतेस?” तेव्हा ती स्त्री शौलाला म्हणाली, “मी दैवत भूमीतून वर येताना पाहते.”
And the king says to her, “Do not fear; for what have you seen?” And the woman says to Saul, “I have seen gods coming up out of the earth.”
14 १४ मग तो तिला म्हणाला, “तो कोणत्या रूपाचा आहे?” तिने म्हटले, “म्हातारा मनुष्य झगा घातलेला असा आहे.” तेव्हा तो शमुवेल आहे असे शौल समजला आणि तो आपले तोंड भूमीकडे लववून नमला.
And he says to her, “What [is] his form?” And she says, “An aged man is coming up, and he [is] covered with an upper robe”; and Saul knows that he [is] Samuel, and bows—face to her earth—and pays respect.
15 १५ मग शमुवेल शौलाला म्हणाला, “तू मला वर आणून का त्रास दिला आहे?” तेव्हा शौलाने उत्तर केले, “मी फार संकटात पडलो आहे. कारण पलिष्टी माझ्याशी लढाई करीत आहेत. आणि परमेश्वर मला सोडून गेला आहे, आणि तो भविष्यवाद्यांकडून किंवा स्वप्नांकडून मला उत्तर देत नाही; मी काय करावे हे तुम्ही मला कळवावे म्हणून मी तुम्हास बोलावले आहे.”
And Samuel says to Saul, “Why have you troubled me, to bring me up?” And Saul says, “I have great distress, and the Philistines are fighting against me, God has turned aside from me, and has not answered me anymore, either by the hand of the prophets, or by dreams; and I call for you to let me know what I [should] do.”
16 १६ तेव्हा शमुवेल म्हणाला, “परमेश्वर तुला सोडून गेला आहे व तुझा विरोधी झाला आहे; तर तू कशाला मला विचारतोस?”
And Samuel says, “And why do you ask me, and YHWH has turned aside from you, and is your enemy?
17 १७ जसे परमेश्वराने माझ्याकडून तुला सांगितले तसे त्याने तुझे केले आहे. परमेश्वराने तुझ्या हातातून राज्य काढून घेतले आहे, आणि तुझा शेजारी दावीद याला ते दिले आहे.
And YHWH does for Himself as He has spoken by my hand, and YHWH tears the kingdom out of your hand, and gives it to your neighbor—to David.
18 १८ कारण तू देवाची वाणी मानली नाही, आणि त्याचा तीव्र क्रोध अमालेकावर घातला नाही, म्हणून आज परमेश्वराने तुझे असे केले आहे.
Because you have not listened to the voice of YHWH, nor did the fierceness of His anger on Amalek—therefore YHWH has done this thing to you this day;
19 १९ परमेश्वर इस्राएलास तुझ्याबरोबर पलिष्ट्यांच्या हाती देईल. उद्या तू तुझ्या मुलांसमवेत माझ्याजवळ असशील. परमेश्वर इस्राएलाचे सैन्य पलिष्ट्यांच्या हाती देईल.
indeed, YHWH also gives Israel into the hand of the Philistines with you, and tomorrow you and your sons [are] with me; YHWH also gives the camp of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.”
20 २० तेव्हा शमुवेलाच्या शब्दांमुळे शौल लागलाच भूमीवर उपडा पडला आणि फार भयभीय झाला, व त्याच्यात काही शक्ती राहिली नाही. कारण सर्व दिवस आणि सारी रात्र त्याने काही भाकर खाल्ली नव्हती.
And Saul hurries and falls—the fullness of his stature—to the earth, and fears greatly because of the words of Samuel; also power was not in him, for he had not eaten bread all the day, and all the night.
21 २१ मग त्या स्त्रीने शौलाकडे येऊन तो फार घाबरला आहे असे पाहून त्यास म्हटले, “पाहा तुमच्या दासीने तुमची वाणी ऐकली आहे. आणि मी आपला जीव आपल्या मुठीत धरून तुम्ही माझ्याशी जे शब्द बोलला ते ऐकले आहेत.
And the woman comes to Saul, and sees that he has been greatly troubled, and says to him, “Behold, your maidservant has listened to your voice, and I put my soul in my hand, and I obey your words which you have spoken to me;
22 २२ तर आता मी तुम्हास विनंती करते, तुम्ही ही आपल्या दासीचा शब्द ऐका आणि मला तुमच्या पुढे भाकरीचा तुकडा ठेवू द्या; तो तुम्ही खा यासाठी की, तुम्ही वाटेने जाल तेव्हा तुम्हास शक्ती असावी.”
and now, please listen, you also, to the voice of your maidservant, and I set a morsel of bread before you; and eat, and there is power in you when you go in the way.”
23 २३ परंतु त्याने नाकारून म्हटले, “मी खाणार नाही.” मग त्याच्या चाकरांनी व त्या स्त्रीनेही त्यास आग्रह केला तेव्हा त्याने त्यांचा शब्द ऐकला व तो भूमीवरून उठून पलंगावर बसला.
And he refuses and says, “I do not eat”; and his servants urge him on, and also the woman, and he listens to their voice, and rises from the earth, and sits on the bed.
24 २४ त्या स्त्रीच्या घरात पुष्ट वासरू होते, ते तिने मोठ्या घाईने कापले; तिने पीठ घेतले व ते मळून त्याच्या बेखमीर भाकरी भाजल्या.
And the woman has a calf of the stall in the house, and she hurries and slaughters it, and takes flour, and kneads, and bakes it [into] unleavened things,
25 २५ मग तिने ते शौलापुढे व त्याच्या चाकरापुढे ठेवले आणि ते जेवले; मग ते उठले आणि त्याच रात्री निघून गेले.
and brings [them] near before Saul, and before his servants, and they eat, and rise, and go on during that night.
