1 शमुवेल 1
1 १ एफ्राईमाच्या डोंगराळ प्रदेशातील रामाथाईम-सोफीम या नगरामधील एक पुरुष होता व त्याचे नाव एलकाना होते. तो यरोहामाचा मुलगा तो एलीहूचा मुलगा तो तोहचा मुलगा तो सूफाचा मुलगा तो एलकाना एफ्राईमी होता.
And he was a man one from Ramathaim Zophim from [the] hill country of Ephraim and name his [was] Elkanah [the] son of Jeroham [the] son of Elihu [the] son of Tohu [the] son of Zuph an Ephrathite.
2 २ त्यास दोन स्त्रिया होत्या, एकीचे नाव हन्ना व दुसरीचे नाव पनिन्ना होते. पनिन्नेला लेकरे होती परंतु हन्नेला नव्हती.
And [belonged] to him two wives [the] name of one [was] Hannah and [the] name of the second [was] Peninnah and it belonged to Peninnah children and [belonged] to Hannah not children.
3 ३ तो पुरुष आपल्या नगराहून प्रतिवर्षी शिलो येथे सैन्यांचा देव परमेश्वर ह्याची उपासना करायला व यज्ञ करायला जात असे. तेथे एलीचे दोन पुत्र हफनी व फिनहास देवाचे याजक होते.
And he went up the man that from city his from days - days towards to bow down and to sacrifice to Yahweh of hosts at Shiloh and there [the] two [the] sons of Eli Hophni and Phinehas [were] priests of Yahweh.
4 ४ यज्ञ करायचा दिवस आला म्हणजे एलकाना आपली पत्नी पनिन्ना हिला व तिची सर्व मुले तिच्या सर्व मुली यांना मांसाचे वाटे देत असे.
And it was the day and he sacrificed Elkanah and he gave to Peninnah wife his and to all sons her and daughters her portions.
5 ५ परंतु हन्नेला तो दुप्पट वाटा देत असे कारण हन्नेवर तो जास्त प्रीती करत असे, पण परमेश्वराने तिची कुस बंद केली होती.
And to Hannah he gave a portion one double for Hannah he loved and Yahweh he had closed womb her.
And she provoked her rival her also provocation in order to disconcert her for he had closed Yahweh behind womb her.
7 ७ ती प्रतिवर्षी असेच करीत असे, ती आपल्या परिवारासोबत परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात जाई तेव्हा तिची सवत तिला असाच त्रास देई म्हणून ती रडत असे व काही खात नसे.
And thus he did a year in a year as often as went up she in [the] house of Yahweh thus she provoked her and she wept and not she ate.
8 ८ तेव्हा तिचा पती एलकाना तिला नेहमी म्हणत असे, “हन्ना तू कां रडतेस? तू का खात नाहीस? आणि तुझे मन का दु: खीत आहे? मी तुला दहा मुलांपेक्षा जास्त नाही काय?”
And he said to her Elkanah husband her O Hannah why? do you weep and why? not are you eating and why? is sad heart your ¿ not [am] I good to you more than ten sons.
9 ९ मग अशाच एका प्रसंगी, त्यांनी शिलो येथे खाणेपिणे संपवल्यावर हन्ना उठली. आता एली याजक परमेश्वराच्या घराच्या दाराजवळच्या आपल्या आसनावर बसला होता.
And she arose Hannah after had eaten in Shiloh and after had drunk and Eli the priest [was] sitting on the seat at [the] doorpost of [the] temple of Yahweh.
And she [was] bitter of soul and she prayed to Yahweh and utterly she wept.
11 ११ ती नवस करून म्हणाली, “हे सैन्याच्या परमेश्वरा जर तू आपल्या दासीचे दुःख पाहशील व माझी आठवण करशील व तुझ्या दासीला विसरणार नाहीस व दासीला पुरूष संतान देशील तर मी त्यास त्याच्या आयुष्याच्या सर्व दिवसात परमेश्वरास देऊन टाकीन आणि त्याच्या डोक्यावर वस्तरा फिरवणार नाही.”
And she vowed a vow and she said O Yahweh of hosts certainly [if] you will look - on [the] affliction of maidservant your and you will remember me and not you will forget maidservant your and you will give to maidservant of your spring of men and I will give him to Yahweh all [the] days of life his and a razor not it will go up on head his.
And it was that she had increased to pray before Yahweh and Eli [was] watching mouth her.
13 १३ हन्ना तर आपल्या मनात बोलत होती. तिचे ओठ मात्र हालत होते पण तिची वाणी ऐकू येत नव्हती म्हणून ती मद्य पिऊन नशेत बोलत असेल असे एलीला वाटले.
And Hannah she [was] speaking to heart her only lips her [were] quivering and voice her not it was heard and he considered her Eli to a drunken [woman].
14 १४ तेव्हा एली तिला म्हणाला, “किती वेळ तू मद्याच्या नशेत मस्त राहशील? तू मद्याचा अंमल आपल्यापासून दूर कर.”
And he said to her Eli until when? will you be drunk! remove wine your from with you.
15 १५ तेव्हा हन्ना उत्तर देऊन म्हणाली, “असे नाही, माझ्या स्वामी, मी दु: खीत आत्म्याची स्त्री आहे. द्राक्षरस किंवा मद्य मी प्याले नाही, तर मी आपला जीव परमेश्वरा पुढे ओतत आहे.”
And she answered Hannah and she said no O lord my [am] a woman hard of spirit I and wine and strong drink not I have drunk and I have poured out soul my before Yahweh.
16 १६ “आपली दासी दुष्ट स्त्री आहे असे तू समजू नका कारण मी माझ्या यातना व क्लेश यांमुळे आतापर्यंत बोलले आहे.”
May not you give maidservant your before a daughter of worthlessness for from [the] greatness of complaint my and provocation my I have spoken until now.
17 १७ मग एली उत्तर देत म्हणाला, “शांतीने जा; इस्राएलाचा देव याच्याजवळ जे मागणे तू मागितले आहेस ते तो तुला देवो.”
And he answered Eli and he said go to peace and [the] God of Israel may he grant petition your which you have asked from with him.
18 १८ ती बोलली, “आपल्या दासीवर तुमची कृपादृष्टी होऊ द्या.” मग ती स्त्री निघून आपल्या वाटेने गेली आणि तिने अन्न सेवन केले व पुढे तिचे तोंड उदास राहिले नाही.
And she said may she find maidservant your favor in view your and she went the woman to way her and she ate and face her not they were to her still.
19 १९ आणि सकाळी त्यांनी उठून परमेश्वराची उपासना केली; मग ते निघून रामा येथे आपल्या घरी परतले. आणि एलकानाने आपली पत्नी हन्ना हिला जाणले व परमेश्वराने तिची आठवण केली.
And they rose early in the morning and they bowed down before Yahweh and they returned and they went to house their Ramah towards and he knew Elkanah Hannah wife his and he remembered her Yahweh.
20 २० नेमलेली वेळ आल्यावर हन्ना गरोदर राहिली व तिने मुलाला जन्म दिला आणि तिने त्याचे नाव शमुवेल असे ठेवले; ती म्हणाली कारण मी त्यास परमेश्वरापासून मागून घेतले.
And it was to [the] circuit of the days and she conceived Hannah and she bore a son and she called name his Samuel for from Yahweh I asked for him.
21 २१ पुन्हा एकदा तो पुरुष एलकाना, आपल्या सर्व कुटुंबासहीत परमेश्वरास वार्षिक यज्ञ अर्पण करायला व आपले नवस फेडायला वर गेला.
And he went up the man Elkanah and all household his to sacrifice to Yahweh [the] sacrifice of the days and vow his.
22 २२ परंतु हन्ना वर गेली नाही; ती आपल्या नवऱ्याला म्हणाली, “मुलाचे दूध तोडीपर्यंत मी वर जाणार नाही; त्यानंतर मग मी त्यास नेईन, जेणेकरून तो परमेश्वरापुढे हजर होईल व तो तेथे कायम वस्ती करील.”
And Hannah not she went up for she said to husband her until he will be weaned the lad and I will take him and he will appear with [the] presence of Yahweh and he will dwell there until perpetuity.
23 २३ तेव्हा तिचा पती एलकाना तिला म्हणाला, “तुला बरे वाटते ते कर; तू त्याचे दूध तोडीपर्यंत राहा; केवळ परमेश्वर आपले वचन स्थापित करो.” मग ती स्त्री घरी राहिली व आपल्या मुलाचे दूध तोडीपर्यंत तिने त्यास स्तनपान दिले.
And he said to her Elkanah husband her do the good in view your remain until wean you him only may he carry out Yahweh word his and she remained the woman and she suckled son her until (had weaned she *LAH(b)*) him.
24 २४ आणि त्याचे दूध तोडल्यावर तिने तीन गोऱ्हे व एक एफाभर सपीठ व द्राक्षरसाचा एक बुधला घेऊन आपणाबरोबर त्यास शिलो येथे परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात नेले; तेव्हा मूल अजून लहानच होते.
And she brought up him with her just when she had weaned him with young bulls three and an ephah one of flour and a skin of wine and she took him [the] house of Yahweh Shiloh and the lad [was] a lad.
And they slaughtered the young bull and they brought the lad to Eli.
26 २६ आणि ती म्हणाली, “हे माझ्या प्रभू! आपला जीव जिवंत आहे; माझ्या प्रभू, जी स्त्री परमेश्वराची प्रार्थना करीत येथे तुमच्याजवळ उभी राहिली होती, ती मीच आहे.
And she said pardon me O lord my [by] [the] life of self your O lord my I [am] the woman who stood with you in this [place] to pray to Yahweh.
27 २७ या मुलासाठी मी प्रार्थना केली आणि जी माझी मागणी मी परमेश्वरापाशी मागितली होती ती त्याने मला दिली आहे.
Concerning the lad this I prayed and he has granted Yahweh to me petition my which I asked from with him.
28 २८ मी तो परमेश्वरास दिला आहे; तो जगेल तोपर्यंत तो परमेश्वरास समर्पित केलेला आहे.” तेव्हा तेथे एलकाना व त्यांच्या कुटुंबाने परमेश्वराची उपासना केली.
And also I I entrust him to Yahweh all the days which he has been he [is] asked by Yahweh and he bowed down there to Yahweh.
