1 राजे 13
1 १ परमेश्वराने आपल्या एका संदेष्ट्याला (देवाच्या मनुष्यास) यहूदाहून बेथेल नगरीला पाठवले. तो तेथे पोहोंचला तेव्हा राजा यराबाम वेदी पुढे धूप जाळत होता.
And behold, a man of God has come from Judah, by the word of YHWH, to Beth-El, and Jeroboam is standing by the altar—to make incense;
2 २ परमेश्वराने या संदेष्ट्याला वेदीविरुध्द बोलायची आज्ञा केली होती. त्याप्रमाणे तो म्हणाला, “हे वेदी, परमेश्वराचे म्हणणे असे आहे दाविदाच्या कुळात योशीया नावाचा पुत्र जन्माला येईल. हे याजक सध्या उंचवट्यावरील ठिकाणी पूजा करत आहेत. पण हे वेदी, योशीया त्यांचेच देह तुला अर्पण करील. योशीया त्या याजकांचा वध करील. आता ते तुझ्यावर धूप जाळत आहेत खरे पण योशीया, मानवी अस्थी तुझ्यावर जाळील. मग तू निरुपयोगी ठरशील.”
and he calls against the altar, by the word of YHWH, and says, “Altar! Altar! Thus said YHWH: Behold, a son is born to the house of David—Josiah [is] his name—and he has sacrificed on you the priests of the high places who are making incense on you, and bones of man are burned on you.”
3 ३ हे निश्चित घडेल, अशी संदेष्ट्याने लोकांस खूण दिली. तो म्हणाला, “परमेश्वराने सांगितले त्याची ही साक्ष ही वेदी तडकेल आणि तिच्यावरची राख खाली ओघळेल, असे परमेश्वराने सांगितले आहे.”
And he has given a sign on that day, saying, “This [is] the sign that YHWH has spoken, Behold, the altar is torn, and the ashes that [are] on it [are] poured forth.”
4 ४ राजाने जेव्हा देवाच्या मनुष्याचे हे वेदीबद्दलचे बोलणे बेथेल येथे ऐकले. तेव्हा यराबामाने वेदीवरील आपला हात उचलून त्या मनुष्याकडे निर्देश करत म्हटले, “पकडा त्याला” मग ज्या हाताने त्याने त्या मनुष्याकडे निर्देश केला होता तो हे बोलत असताना लुळा पडला. त्यास तो हलवता येईना
And it comes to pass, at the king’s hearing the word of the man of God that he calls against the altar in Beth-El, that Jeroboam puts forth his hand from off the altar, saying, “Catch him”; and his hand that he has put forth against him is dried up, and he is not able to bring it back to himself,
5 ५ तसेच, वेदी भंग पावली. त्यावरील राख जमिनीवर पडली. देवाच्या मनुष्याच्या तोंडून परमेश्वराचे वचन निघत होते याची ती खूण होती.
and the altar is torn, and the ashes [are] poured forth from the altar, according to the sign that the man of God had given by the word of YHWH.
6 ६ तेव्हा राजा यराबाम त्या संदेष्ट्याला म्हणाला, “माझा हात बरा व्हावा म्हणून तू कृपया तुझ्या परमेश्वर देवाची प्रार्थना कर.” तेव्हा त्याने देवाजवळ तशी विनंती केली आणि राजाचा हात बरा झाला. राजाचा हात मग पूर्ववत झाला.
And the king answers and says to the man of God, “Please appease the face of your God YHWH, and pray for me, and my hand comes back to me”; and the man of God appeases the face of YHWH, and the hand of the king comes back to him, and it is as at the beginning.
And the king speaks to the man of God, “Come in with me to the house, and refresh yourself, and I give a gift to you.”
8 ८ पण हा देवाचा मनुष्य म्हणाला, “अर्धे राज्य मला देऊ केलेस तरी मी तुझ्याबरोबर घरी येणार नाही. इथे मी अन्नपाणी घेणार नाही.
And the man of God says to the king, “If you give to me the half of your house, I do not go in with you, nor do I eat bread, nor do I drink water, in this place;
9 ९ काहीही न खाण्यापिण्याबद्दल परमेश्वराने मला बजावले आहे. तसेच, येताना ज्या रस्त्याने आलो त्याने परत जायचे नाही, अशीही त्याची आज्ञा आहे.”
for so He commanded me by the word of YHWH, saying, You do not eat bread nor drink water, nor return in the way that you have come.”
10 १० त्याप्रमाणे तो वेगळ्या रस्त्याला लागला. बेथेलला येताना, ज्या रस्त्याने आला त्याने तो गेला नाही.
And he goes on in another way, and has not turned back in the way in which he came in to Beth-El.
11 ११ बेथेल नगरात एक वृध्द देवाचा मनुष्य राहत होता. त्याच्या मुलांनी त्यास या संदेष्ट्याने बेथेल मध्ये काय केले ते येऊन सांगितले. राजाला तो संदेष्टा काय म्हणाला तेही त्यांनी सांगितले.
And a certain aged prophet is dwelling in Beth-El, and his son comes and recounts to him every deed that the man of God has done today in Beth-El, the words that he has spoken to the king—indeed, they recount them to their father.
12 १२ तेव्हा देवाचा मनुष्य म्हणाला, “कोणत्या रस्त्याने तो परतला?” तेव्हा मुलांनी आपल्या वडिलांना यहूदाच्या संदेष्ट्याचा मार्ग दाखवला.
And their father says to them, “Where [is] this—the way he has gone?” And his sons see the way that the man of God who came from Judah has gone.
13 १३ त्या वृध्द संदेष्ट्याने “मुलांना गाढवावर खोगीर चढवायला सांगितले.” त्याप्रमाणे त्यांनी केल्यावर संदेष्टा गाढवावरुन निघाला.
And he says to his sons, “Saddle the donkey for me,” and they saddle the donkey for him, and he rides on it,
14 १४ हा वृध्द संदेष्टा त्या देवाच्या माणासाच्या मागावर निघाला. तेव्हा तो एला वृक्षाखाली बसलेला आढळला. वृध्द संदेष्ट्याने त्यास विचारले, “तूच का तो यहूदाहून आलेला देवाचा मनुष्य?” संदेष्ट्याने यावर होकार दिला.
and goes after the man of God, and finds him sitting under the oak, and says to him, “Are you the man of God who has come from Judah?” And he says, “I [am].”
And he says to him, “Come with me to the house and eat bread.”
And he says, “I am not able to return with you, and to go in with you, nor do I eat bread or drink water with you in this place,
17 १७ तेथे काही खायचे प्यायचे नाही आणि गेलास त्या रस्त्याने परतायचे नाही असे परमेश्वराने मला सांगितले आहे.”
for [there is] a word to me by the word of YHWH, You do not eat bread nor drink water there [and] you do not return to go in the way in which you came.”
18 १८ यावर तो वृध्द संदेष्टा म्हणाला, “मीही तुझ्याप्रमाणेच एक संदेष्टा आहे.” आणि पुढे त्याने खोटे सांगितले, “मला नुकतेच परमेश्वराच्या दूताचे दर्शन झाले. त्याने तुला माझ्या घरी घेऊन यायला आणि खाऊपिऊ घालायला मला सांगितले आहे.”
And he says to him, “I [am] also a prophet like you, and a messenger spoke to me by the word of YHWH, saying, Bring him back with you to your house, and he eats bread and drinks water.” He has lied to him.
And he turns back with him, and eats bread in his house, and drinks water.
And it comes to pass—they are sitting at the table—and [there] is a word of YHWH to the prophet who brought him back,
21 २१ वृध्द संदेष्टा या यहूदातील देवाच्या मनुष्यास म्हणाला, “तू परमेश्वराच्या आज्ञेचे उल्लंघन केले आहेस, असे परमेश्वर म्हणाला, तू त्याच्या आज्ञेप्रमाणे वागला नाहीस.
and he calls to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, “Thus said YHWH: Because that you have provoked the mouth of YHWH, and have not kept the command that your God YHWH charged you,
22 २२ येथे काहीही खायला प्यायला परमेश्वराने तुला सक्त, मनाई केली होती. तरी तू इथे आलास आणि जेवलास. तेव्हा तुझे आता तुझ्या कुटुंबियाबरोबर दफन होणार नाही.”
and turn back and eat bread and drink water in the place of which He said to you, You do not eat bread nor drink water—your carcass does not come into the burying-place of your fathers.”
23 २३ या देवाच्या माणासाचे खाणेपिणे झाल्यावर वृध्द संदेष्ट्याने त्याच्या गाढवावर खोगीर घातले आणि हा यहूदाचा संदेष्टा (देवाचा मनुष्य) निघाला.
And it comes to pass, after his eating bread, and after his drinking, that he saddles the donkey for him, for the prophet whom he had brought back,
24 २४ परतीच्या वाटेवर एका सिंहाने त्याच्यावर हल्ला चढवला आणि त्यास मारुन टाकले. देवाच्या मनुष्याचा मृतदेह रस्त्यातच पडला होता. गाढव आणि सिंह त्याच्या प्रेताशेजारीच होते.
and he goes, and a lion finds him in the way, and puts him to death, and his carcass is cast in the way, and the donkey is standing near it, and the lion is standing near the carcass.
25 २५ इतर वाटसंरुनी ते प्रेत आणि जवळ उभा राहिलेला सिंह हे पाहिले. तेव्हा ती माणसे गावात आली आणि त्यांनी आपल्या डोळ्यांनी पाहिलेली ही घटना वृध्द संदेष्ट्याला सांगितली.
And behold, men are passing by, and see the carcass cast in the way, and the lion standing near the carcass, and they come and speak [of it] in the city in which the old prophet is dwelling.
26 २६ वृध्द संदेष्ट्याने या देवाच्या मनुष्यास फसवून आणले होते. तेव्हा हे सर्व ऐकून तो म्हणाला, “असा हा देवाचा मनुष्य. त्याने परमेश्वराचे म्हणणे अवमानले नाही. तेव्हा परमेश्वरानेच त्यास मारायला सिंहाच्या स्वाधीन केले असावे. असे होणार हे परमेश्वराने सांगितले होते.”
And the prophet who brought him back out of the way hears and says, “It [is] the man of God who provoked the mouth of YHWH, and YHWH gives him to the lion, and it destroys him, and puts him to death, according to the word of YHWH that he spoke to him.”
And he speaks to his sons saying, “Saddle the donkey for me,” and they saddle [it].
28 २८ तेव्हा तो निघाला आणि वाटेवरच्या मृतदेहापाशी आला. सिंह आणि गाढव अजूनही तिथेच होते. सिंहाने आपल्या भक्ष्याला तोंड लावले नव्हते की गाढवाला इजा केली नव्हती.
And he goes and finds his carcass cast in the way, and the donkey and the lion are standing near the carcass—the lion has not eaten the carcass nor destroyed the donkey.
29 २९ वृध्द देवाच्या संदेष्ट्याने तो मृतदेह गाढवावर ठेवला आणि मृत्यूबद्दल शोक करायला आणि देहाचे दफन करायला तो गावात आणला.
And the prophet takes up the carcass of the man of God, and places it on the donkey, and brings it back, and the old prophet comes to the city to mourn and to bury him,
30 ३० त्याने तो आपल्याच घराण्याच्या दफनभूमीत पुरला. त्याच्यासाठी शोक प्रकट केला. तो म्हणाला, “माझ्या भावासारखाच तू मला होतास. मला फार वाईट वाटते.”
and he places his carcass in his own grave, and they mourn for him, “Oh, my brother!”
31 ३१ मग त्याने त्याचे दफन केले. आपल्या मुलांना तो म्हणाला, “मी मरण पावल्यावर माझेही याच ठिकाणी दफन करा. माझ्या अस्थी देवाच्या मनुष्या शेजारीच विसावू द्या.
And it comes to pass, after his burying him, that he speaks to his sons, saying, “At my death—you have buried me in the burying-place in which the man of God is buried; place my bones near his bones;
32 ३२ परमेश्वराने त्याच्या तोंडून वदवलेले सर्व प्रत्यक्षात येईल. बेथेलची वेदी आणि शोमरोनच्या नगरातील उंच देवळांबद्दल त्याने सांगितलेले खरे होईल.”
for the word certainly comes to pass that he called by the word of YHWH concerning the altar which [is in] Beth-El, and concerning all the houses of the high places that [are] in cities of Samaria.”
33 ३३ राजा यराबामामध्ये काहीही फरक पडला नाही. तो दुष्कृत्ये करतच राहिला. वेगवेगळ्या कुळांमधल्या मनुष्यांची तो याजक म्हणून निवड करत राहिला. हे पूरोहित उंच देवळांमध्ये पूजा करत. ज्याला हवे त्यास याजक बनता येई.
After this thing Jeroboam has not turned from his evil way, and turns back, and makes priests of high places from the extremities of the people; he who is desirous—he consecrates his hand, and he is of the priests of the high places.
34 ३४ या गोष्टीने यराबामाच्या घराण्यास पाप लागले व त्यामुळे त्यांचा सर्वनाश झाला. आणि भूतलावरून ते नष्ट झाले.
And in this thing is the sin of the house of Jeroboam, even to cut [it] off, and to destroy [it] from off the face of the ground.
