1 राजे 11
1 १ राजा शलमोनाचे अनेक विदेशी स्त्रिंयावर प्रेम जडले होते. फारोच्या मुलीखेरीज, हित्ती, मवाबी, अम्मोनी, अदोमी, सीदोनी अशा परक्या देशातील स्त्रियांनाही त्याने आपलेसे केले.
Forsothe kyng Salomon louyde brennyngli many alien wymmen, and the douytir of Pharao, and wymmen of Moab, and Amonytis, and Ydumeis, and Sydoneis, and Etheis;
2 २ परमेश्वराने पूर्वीच इस्राएल लोकांस सांगितले होते “परक्या देशातील लोकांशी विवाह संबंध ठेवू नका. तसे केलेत तर ते तुम्हास त्यांच्या दैवतांच्या भजनी लावतील.” असे असूनही शलमोन या बायकांच्या प्रेमात पडला.
of the folkis of whiche the Lord seide to the sones of Israel, Ye schulen not entre to tho folkis, nether ony of hem schulen entre to you; for most certeynli thei schulen turne awei youre hertis, that ye sue the goddis of hem. Therfor kyng Salomon was couplid to these wymmen, bi moost brennyng loue.
3 ३ त्यास सातशे स्त्रिया होत्या. (त्या सर्व इतर देशांच्या प्रमुखांच्या मुली होत्या) उपपत्नी म्हणून त्यास आणखी तीनशे दासीही होत्या. या बायकांनी त्यास देवापासून दूर जाण्यास भाग पाडले.
And wyues as queenys weren seuene hundrid to hym, and thre hundrid secundarie wyues; and the wymmen turneden awey his herte.
4 ४ तो वृध्द झाला तेव्हा त्याच्या बायकांनी त्यास इतर दैवतांकडे वळवले. आपले वडिल दावीद याच्या प्रमाणे शलमोन परमेश्वराशी एकनिष्ठ राहिला नाही.
And whanne he was thanne eld, his herte was bischrewid bi wymmen, that he suede alien goddis; and his herte was not perfit with his Lord God, as the herte of Dauid, his fadir, `was perfit.
5 ५ सीदोनी लोकांच्या अष्टारोथ देवाची शलमोनाने पूजा केली. तसेच अम्मोन्यांचे अमंगळ दैवत मिलकोम यालाही शलमोनाने भजले.
But Salomon worschipide Astartes, the goddesse of Sidoneis, and Chamos, the god of Moabitis, and Moloch, the idol of Amonytis;
6 ६ अशाप्रकारे शलमोनाने परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने वाईट केले. आपले वडिल दावीद यांच्याप्रमाणे तो परमेश्वरास पूर्णपणे अनुसरला नाही.
and Salomon dide that, that pleside not bifor the Lord, and he fillide not that he suede the Lord, as Dauid, his fadir, dide.
7 ७ कमोश या मवाबी लोकांच्या अमंगळ दैवताच्या पूजेसाठी शलमोनाने एक पूजास्थळ बांधले. हे यरूशलेम नजीकच्या टेकडीवर होते. त्याच टेकडीवर मोलख या अम्मोनी लोकांच्या अमंगळ दैवतासाठीही एक उंच स्थान बांधले.
Thanne Salomon bildide a temple to Chamos, the idol of Moab, in the hil which is ayens Jerusalem, and to Moloch, the idol of the sones of Amon.
8 ८ आपल्या इतर, प्रत्येक देशातल्या बायकांसाठीही त्याने अशीच पूजास्थळे बांधली. त्या आपापल्या ठिकाणी धूप जाळत आणि आपापल्या दैवतांसाठी यज्ञ करत.
And bi this maner he dide to alle hise alien wyues, that brenten encencis, and offriden to her goddis.
9 ९ इस्राएलचा देव परमेश्वर याच्यापासून शलमोन परावृत्त झाला. तेव्हा परमेश्वराचा शलमोनावर कोप झाला. परमेश्वराने शलमोनाला दोनदा दर्शन दिले होते.
Therfor the Lord was wrooth to Salomon, for his soule was turned awei fro the Lord God of Israel; that apperide to Salomon the secounde tyme,
10 १० इतर दैवतांच्या मागे त्याने जाऊ नये असे बजावले होते. पण शलमोनाने परमेश्वराच्या या आज्ञेचे उल्लंघन केले.
and comaundide of this word, that he schulde not sue alien goddis; and he kepte not tho thingis, whiche the Lord comaundide to hym.
11 ११ तेव्हा परमेश्वर शलमोनाला म्हणाला, “तू आपण होऊन आपल्या कराराचा भंग केला आहेस. माझी आज्ञा तू पाळली नाहीस. तेव्हा तुझ्याकडून राज्य हिसकावून घेण्याची मी प्रतिज्ञा करतो. तुझ्या सेवकाला मी ते देईन.
Therfor the Lord seide to Salomon, For thou haddist this thing anentis thee, and keptist not my couenaunt, and myn heestis, whiche Y comaundide to thee, Y schal breke, and Y schal departe thi rewme, and Y schal yyue it to thi seruaunt.
12 १२ पण तुझे वडिल दावीद यांच्यावर माझे प्रेम होते. त्याखातर तू हयात असेपर्यंत मी तुलाच राज्यावर ठेवीन तुझा पुत्र गादीवर बसेपर्यंत वाट पाहीन. मग त्याच्याकडून ते घेईन.
Netheles Y schal not do in thi daies, for Dauid, thi fadir; Y schal kitte it fro the hond of thi sone;
13 १३ तरी सगळेच राज्य हिसकावून घेणार नाही. एकाच घराण्यावर त्याची सत्ता ठेवीन. दाविदासाठी मी एवढे करीन. तो माझा आवडता सेवक होता. तसेच यरूशलेमेसाठी मला एवढे केले पाहिजे कारण ते नगर मी निवडले आहे.”

15 १५ त्याचे असे झाले दाविदाने पूर्वी अदोमाचा पराभव केला होता. यवाब तेव्हा दाविदाचा सेनापती होता. तो अदोम येथे मृतांचे दफन करायला गेला. तेव्हा त्याने अदोमातील सर्वांची कत्तल केली होती.
For whanne Dauid was in Ydumee, and Joab, the prince of chyualrie, hadde stied to birie hem that weren slayn, and he hadde slayn ech male kynde in Ydumee;
16 १६ यवाब आणि सर्व इस्राएल लोक यांनी अदोम येथे सहा महिने मुक्काम केला. त्या काळात त्यांनी अदोम येथे कुणाही पुरुषाला जिवंत ठेवले नाही.
for Joab, and al Israel dwelliden there bi sixe monethis, til thei killiden ech male kynde in Ydumee; Adad hym silf fledde,
17 १७ हदाद त्यावेळी अगदी लहान होता. तेव्हा तो मिसर येथे पळून गेला. त्याच्या वडिलांचे काही अदोमी सेवकही त्याच्याबरोबर गेले.
and men of Ydumee, of `the seruauntis of his fadir, with hym, that he schulde entre in to Egipt; sotheli Adad was a litil child.
18 १८ मिद्यानाहून पुढे ते सर्व पारान येथे गेले. तिथे त्यांना आणखी काही जण येऊन मिळाले. मग हे सगळे लोक मिळून मिसरला गेले. मिसरचा राजा फारो याच्याकडे त्यांनी आश्रय घेतला. फारोने हदादला राहायला एक घर आणि थोडी जमीन देऊ केली. त्याच्या अन्नवस्त्राची सोय केली.
And whanne thei hadden rise fro Madian, thei camen in to Faran; and thei token with hem men of Faran, and entriden in to Egipt, to Pharao, kyng of Egipt; which Farao yaf an hows to hym, and ordeynede metis, and assignede lond.
19 १९ फारोची हदादवर मर्जी बसली. तेव्हा त्याने आपल्या मेहुणीशी त्याचे लग्नही लावून दिले. त्याची राणी तहपनेस हिची ती बहीण होती.
And Adad foond grace bifor Farao greetli, in so myche that Farao yaf to hym a wijf, the sister of his wijf, sister of the queen, of Taphnes.
20 २० या तहपनेसच्या बहिणीचे हदादशी लग्न झाले. त्यांना गनुबथ नावाचा पुत्र झाला. राणी तहपनेसच्या संमतीने तो राजवाड्यात फारोच्या मुलांबरोबरच वाढला.
And the sistir of Taphnes gendrid to hym a sone, Genebath; and Taphnes nurschide hym in the hows of Farao; and Genebath dwellide bifor Farao, with hise sones.
21 २१ दाविदाच्या मृत्यूची खबर हदादने मिसरमध्ये ऐकली. सेनापती यवाब मरण पावल्याचेही त्यास कळले. तेव्हा हदाद राजा फारोला म्हणाला, “मला माझ्या मायदेशी परत जाऊ दे.”
And whanne Adad hadde herd in Egipt, that Dauid slepte with hise fadris, and that Joab, the prince of chyualrie, was deed, he seide to Farao, Suffre thou me, that Y go in to my lond.
22 २२ तेव्हा फारो त्यास म्हणाला, “येथे तुला हवे ते सर्वकाही मी दिले आहे. असे असताना तू परत का जातोस?” तेव्हा “हदादने पुन्हा जाऊ देण्याबद्दल विनंती केली.”
And Farao seide to hym, For of what thing hast thou nede at me, that thou sekist to go to thi lond? And he answeride, Of no thing; but Y biseche thee, that thou `delyuere me.
23 २३ देवाने शलमोनासाठी आणखी एक शत्रू निर्माण केला. तो म्हणजे रजोन. हा एल्यादाचा पुत्र. सोबाचा राजा हददेर याचा रजोन हा सेवक होता. त्याच्याकडून तो पळाला.
Also God reiside an aduersarie to Salomon, Rason, sone of Eliadam, that fledde Adadezer, kyng of Soba, his lord;
24 २४ दाविदाने सोबाच्या सैन्याचा पाडाव केल्यानंतर, रजोनाने काही माणसे जमवली आणि त्या टोळीचा तो नायक बनला. दिमिष्कामध्ये जाऊन मग तो राहिला. तिथला राजा झाला.
and gaderide men ayens hym, and was maad the prince of theuys, whanne Dauid killide hem; and thei yeden to Damask, and dwelliden there; and thei maden hym kyng in Damask.
25 २५ अरामावर रजोनाने राज्य केले. इस्राएलाबद्दल त्यास चीड होती, तेव्हा शलमोनाच्या संपूर्ण कारकिर्दीत त्याचे इस्राएलशी वैरच होते. हदाद आणि रजोन यांनी मिळून इस्राएलाला बराच त्रास दिला.
And he was aduersarie of Israel in alle the daies of Salomon; and this is the yuel of Adad, and the hatrede ayens Israel; and he regnede in Sirie.
26 २६ नबाट याचा पुत्र यराबाम हा शलमोनाचा एक सेवक. हा एफ्राईम घराण्यातला असून सरेदा नगरातील होता. याच्या आईचे नाव सरुवा. त्याचे वडिल वारले होते. हा यराबाम पुढे राजाच्या विरुध्द गेला.
Also Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, of Effraym of Saredera, the seruaunt of Salomon, of which Jeroboam, a womman widewe, Serua bi name, was modir, reisyde hond ayens the kyng.
27 २७ त्याची कथा अशी. मिल्लोचे बांधकाम आणि दावीद राजाच्या नगराच्या तटबंदीला पडलेली खिंडारे बुजवण्याचे काम शलमोन करून घेत होता.

28 २८ यराबाम हा अंगापिडाने मजबूत होता. हा या कामाला चांगला असल्याचे शलमोनाने हेरले आणि त्यास योसेफ घराण्यातील कामगारांचा अधीक्षक म्हणून नेमले.
Forsothe Jeroboam was a miyti man and strong; and Salomon siy the yong wexynge man of good kynrede, and witti in thingis to be doon, and Salomon made hym `prefect, ether souereyn, on the tributis of al the hows of Joseph.
29 २९ एकदा यराबाम यरूशलेमेच्या बाहेर गेला होता. तेव्हा त्यास शिलो येथील अहीया नावाचा संदेष्टा वाटेत भेटला. अहीयाने नवीन अंगरखा घातला होता. या दोघांखेरीज तेव्हा त्या भागात आणखी कोणी नव्हते.
Therfor it was doon in that tyme, that Jeroboam yede out of Jerusalem; and Ahias of Sylo, a profete, hilid with a newe mentil, foond hym in the weie; sotheli thei tweyne weren oneli in the feeld.
And Ahias took his newe mentil, with which he was hilid, and kittide in to twelue partis;
31 ३१ मग अहीया यराबामाला म्हणाला, “यातले दहा तुकडे तू स्वत: जवळ ठेव. इस्राएलचा देव परमेश्वर याने सांगितले आहे शलमोनाच्या हातातून राज्य काढून घेऊन त्यातील दहा वंशाचा अधिकार मी तुला देईन.
and seide to Jeroboam, Take to thee ten kyttyngis; for the Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal kytte the rewme fro the hond of Salomon, and Y schal yyue to thee ten lynagis;
32 ३२ आणि दाविदाच्या घराण्यात फक्त एकाच वंशाची मालकी शिल्लक ठेवीन. माझा सेवक दावीद आणि हे यरूशलेम नगर यांच्या खातर मी एवढे करीन. इस्राएलाच्या सर्व वंशांतून मी यरूशलेम नगराची निवड केली आहे.
forsothe o lynage schal dwelle to hym, for Dauid, my seruaunt, and for Jerusalem, the citee which Y chees of alle the lynagis of Israel;
33 ३३ शलमोनाने माझा त्याग केला म्हणून मी त्याच्याकडून राज्य काढून घेणार आहे. सीदोन्यांची देवी अष्टारोथ, मवाबाचा कमोश, अम्मोन्याचा मिलकोम या परकीय दैवतांचे तो भजन पूजन करतो. जे योग्य आणि न्याय्य ते आता तो करत नाही. माझ्या आज्ञा आणि नियम तो पाळत नाही. त्याचे वडिल दावीद ज्या पध्दतीने जगले तसे याचे नाही.
this kittyng schal be; for Salomon forsook me, and worschipide Astartes, goddesse of Sidoneis, and Chamos, the god of Moab, and Moloch, the god of the sones of Amon; and yede not in my weies, that he dide riytwisnesse bifor me, and myn heestis, and my domes, as Dauid, his fadir, dide.
34 ३४ तेव्हा आता त्याच्या घराण्यातून मी सत्ता काढून घेत आहे. मात्र शलमोन जिवंत असेपर्यंत तोच गादीवर अधिपती राहील. माझा सेवक दावीद याच्याखातर मी एवढे करीन. माझे सर्व नियम आणि आज्ञा दाविदाने पाळल्या म्हणून मी त्यास निवडले.
And Y schal not take awey al the rewme fro `his hond, but Y schal putte hym duyk in alle the daies of his lijf, for Dauid, my seruaunt, whom Y chees, which Dauid kepte myn heestis, and my comaundementis.
35 ३५ पण त्याच्या मुलाच्या हातून मी राज्य काढून घेणार आहे आणि यराबाम, दहा घराण्यावरील सत्ता मी तुझ्या हाती सोपवीन.
Sotheli Y schal take awey the rewme fro the hond of `his sone, and Y schal yyue ten lynagis to thee;
36 ३६ शलमोनाच्या मुलाची एका वंशावरील सत्ता तशीच अबाधित ठेवीन. म्हणजे यरूशलेमामध्ये माझा सेवक दावीद याचा वंशजच सतत राज्य करील. यरूशलेम हे नगर मी आपले स्वत: चे म्हणून निवडले.
forsothe Y schal yyue o lynage to `his sone, that a lanterne dwelle to Dauid, my seruaunt, in alle daies bifor me in Jerusalem, the citee which Y chees, that my name schulde be there.
Forsothe Y schal take thee, and thou schalt regne on alle thingis whiche thi soule desirith, and thou schalt be kyng on Israel.
38 ३८ माझ्या आज्ञांचे पालन करत तू योग्य मार्गाने आयुष्य घालवलेस तर मी हे तुला देईन. दाविदाप्रमाणे माझी सर्व आज्ञा आणि नियम पाळलेस तर माझी तुला साथ असेल. दाविदा प्रमाणेच तुझ्याही घराण्याला मी राजघराणे करीन. इस्राएल तुला देईन.
Therfor if thou schalt here alle thingis whiche Y schal comaunde to thee, and if thou schalt go in my weies, and if thou schalt do that, that is riytful bifore me, and if thou schalt kepe my comaundementis, and myn heestis, as Dauid, my seruaunt, dide, Y schal be with thee, and Y schal bilde a feithful hows to thee, as Y bildide an hows to Dauid, and Y schal yyue Israel to thee;
39 ३९ यामुळे मी दाविदाच्या वर्तणुकीची शिक्षा मी त्याच्या मुलांना करीन. पण काही काळापुरती, सर्वकाळ नव्हे.”
and Y schal turmente the seed of Dauid on this thing, netheles not in alle daies.
40 ४० शलमोनाने यराबामाच्या वधाचा प्रयत्न केला. पण यराबामाने मिसरला पलायन केले. मिसरचा राजा शिशक याच्याकडे तो गेला. शलमोनाच्या मृत्यूपर्यंत यराबाम तिथेच राहिला.
Therfor Salomon wolde sle Jeroboam, which roos, and fledde in to Egipt, to Susach, kyng of Egipt; and he was in Egipt `til to the deeth of Salomon.
41 ४१ शलमोनाने सत्तेवर असताना बऱ्याच मोठमोठ्या आणि सुज्ञपणाच्या गोष्टी केल्या. शलमोनचा इतिहास या पुस्तकात त्या सर्व लिहिलेल्या नाहीत काय?
Forsothe the residue of the wordis of Salomon, and alle thingis whiche he dide, and his wisdom, lo! alle thingis ben writun in the book of wordis of daies of Salomon.
Sotheli the daies bi whiche Salomon regnede in Jerusalem on al Israel, ben fourti yeer.
43 ४३ मग शलमोन मरण पावला तेव्हा त्याच्या पूर्वजांशेजारी दावीद याच्या नगरामध्ये त्याचे दफन करण्यात आले. त्याच्या ठिकाणी रहबाम राज्य करू लागला.
And Salomon slepte with hise fadris, and was biriede in the citee of Dauid, his fadir; and Roboam, his sone, regnede for hym.
