1 राजे 10
1 १ परमेश्वराच्या नावासंबंधाने शबाच्या राणीने शलमोनाची ख्याती ऐकली तेव्हा अवघड प्रश्न विचारुन त्याची कसोटी पाहायला ती आली.
And the queen of Sheba is hearing of the fame of Solomon concerning the Name of YHWH, and comes to try him with enigmas,
2 २ नोकरा चाकरांचा मोठा लवाजमा आणि सुवासिक मसाल्याचे पदार्थ, रत्ने, सोनेनाणे अशा बऱ्याच गोष्टी उंटांवर लादून ती यरूशलेमेला आली. शलमोनाला भेटल्यावर तिच्या मनातले सर्वकाही तिने त्यास सांगितले.
and she comes to Jerusalem, with a very great company, camels carrying spices, and very much gold, and precious stone, and she comes to Solomon, and speaks to him all that has been with her heart.
3 ३ शलमोन राजाने तिच्या सगळ्या प्रश्नांची उत्तरे दिली. असा कुठलाच प्रश्न नव्हता की, त्याचे उत्तर त्याने दिले नाही.
And Solomon declares to her all her matters—there has not been a thing hid from the king that he has not declared to her.
And the queen of Sheba sees all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he built,
5 ५ त्याच्या मेजावरचे खाणे, त्याच्या सेवकांचा वावर, शलमोनाच्या कारभाऱ्याची ऊठबस आणि त्यांचे पोषाख, त्याचे प्यालेबरदार त्याने दिलेल्या मेजवान्या आणि परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात केलेले यज्ञ. हे सर्व शबाच्या राणीने पाहिले आणि ती आश्चर्याने थक्क झाली.
and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their clothing, and his butlers, and his burnt-offering that he causes to ascend in the house of YHWH, and there has not been anymore spirit in her.
6 ६ ती राजाला म्हणाली, “तुझ्या चातुर्याबद्दल आणि कारभाराबद्दल मी माझ्या देशात बरेच ऐकले होते. ते खरे आहे.
And she says to the king, “The word that I heard in my land has been true concerning your matters and your wisdom;
7 ७ पण हे सर्व माझ्या डोळ्यांनी बघेपर्यंत, माझा त्यावर विश्वास बसत नव्हता. आता असे वाटते की ऐकले ते कमीच होते. तुझे ऐश्वर्य आणि बुध्दिमत्ता मला लोकांनी सांगितली त्यापेक्षा जास्तच आहे.
and I gave no credence to the words until I have come, and my eyes see, and behold, not [even] half was declared to me; you have added wisdom and goodness to the report that I heard.
8 ८ तुझे लोक आणि सेवक खरेच फार धन्य आहेत. तुझे सेवक, जे तुझ्यासमोर ऊभे राहून, ज्यांना तुझ्या ज्ञानाचा लाभ होतो ते धन्य.
O the blessedness of your men, O the blessedness of your servants—these—who are standing before you continually, who are hearing your wisdom!
9 ९ परमेश्वर देव थोर आहे, तुझ्यावर प्रसन्न होऊन त्याने तुला इस्राएलाचा राजा केले आहे. परमेश्वर इस्राएलावर प्रेम करतो म्हणून, नियमशास्त्राचे व न्यायाचे पालन करण्यास त्याने तुला राजा केले आहे.”
Your God YHWH is blessed, who delighted in you, to put you on the throne of Israel; in YHWH’s loving Israel for all time He sets you for king, to do judgment and righteousness.”
10 १० मग शबाच्या राणीने राजाला एकशे वीस किक्कार सोने, नजर केले. शिवाय मोठ्या प्रमाणात मसाल्याचे पदार्थ आणि मौल्यवान हिरे दिले. इस्राएलामध्ये यापूर्वी कोणी आणले नसतील इतके मसाल्याचे पदार्थ एकट्या शबाच्या राणीने शलमोन राजाला दिले.
And she gives to the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, and very many spices, and precious stone; there never again came in abundance like that spice that the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
And also, the navy of Hiram that bore gold from Ophir, brought in very much almug-trees and precious stone from Ophir;
12 १२ शलमोन राजाने या लाकडाचा वापर परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात आणि महालात आधाराचे कठडे उभारायला केला. शिवाय वादकांसाठी वीणा, सतारीही त्यातून करवून घेतल्या. तसे लाकूड परत कोणी कधी इस्राएलामध्ये आणले नाही की त्यानंतर कोणी तसे लाकूड पाहिले नाही.
and the king makes the almug-trees a support for the house of YHWH, and for the house of the king, and harps and psalteries for singers; there have not come such almug-trees, nor have there been seen [such] to this day.
13 १३ दुसऱ्या देशाच्या राज्यकर्त्याला, जे रीतीप्रमाणे भेटीदाखल द्यायचे ते सर्व शलमोन राजाने शबाच्या राणीला दिले. शिवाय तिला काय हवे ते विचारुन तेही दिले. यानंतर राणी आपल्या लवाजम्यासाहित मायदेशी निघून गेली.
And King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire that she asked, apart from that which he gave to her as a memorial of King Solomon, and she turns and goes to her land, she and her servants.
And the weight of the gold that has come to Solomon in one year is six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,
15 १५ या मालवाहू जहाजांखेरीज व्यापारी, सौदागर, अरबस्तानचे राजे तसेच नेमलेले सुभेदार यांच्याकडूनही सोने येत राहिले.
apart from [that of] the tourists, and of the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the land.
And King Solomon makes two hundred bucklers of alloyed gold—six hundred [shekels] of gold go up on the one buckler;
17 १७ तशाच पण जरा लहान तीनशे घडीव सोन्याच्या ढाली केल्या. त्या लहान ढालीस तीन माने सोने लागले. राजाने या ढाली “लबानोनाचे वन” येथे ठेवल्या.
and three hundred shields of alloyed gold—three pounds of gold go up on the one shield; and the king puts them [in] the House of the Forest of Lebanon.
And the king makes a great throne of ivory, and overlays it with refined gold;
19 १९ सिंहासनाला सहा पायऱ्या होत्या. त्याची पाठ कमानदार होती. दोन्ही बाजूला हात होते. हातांच्या खाली दोन्ही बाजूला सिंह होते.
the throne has six steps, and a round top [is] to the throne behind it, and hands [are] on this [side] and on that, to the place of the sitting, and two lions are standing near the hands,
and twelve lions are standing there on the six steps, on this [side] and on that; it has not been made so for any kingdom.
21 २१ राजा शलमोनाचे सर्व पेले आणि चषक सोन्याचे होते. “लबानोनाचे वनामधील” सर्व शस्त्रास्त्रे आणि सामग्री शुद्ध सोन्याची होती. चांदीचे काहीही नव्हते. सोने इतक्या मुबलक प्रमाणात होते की शलमोनाच्या कारकिर्दीत लोकांच्या लेखी चांदीला काही किंमत नव्हती.
And all the drinking vessels of King Solomon [are] of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon [are] of refined gold—there are none of silver; it was not reckoned in the days of Solomon for anything,
22 २२ समुद्रावर राजा हिरामाच्या जहाजांबरोबर शलमोन राजाच्याही तार्शीश जहाजांचा एक तांडा असे, आणि तीन-तीन वर्षांनी ही तार्शीश जहाजे सोने, चांदी, हस्तिदंत, वानर व मोर आणत असत.
for the king has a navy of Tarshish at sea with a navy of Hiram; once in three years the navy of Tarshish comes, carrying gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks [[or monkeys]].
23 २३ शलमोन हा पृथ्वीतलावरील सर्वात महान राजा होता. त्याच्याकडे सर्वाधिक वैभव आणि बुद्धी चातुर्य होते.
And King Solomon is greater than any of the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom,
24 २४ पृथ्वीवरील सर्व लोक त्यास भेटण्यास उत्सुक असत. देवाने शलमोनाला दिलेले बुध्दीचे वैभव त्यांना अनुभवायचे असे.
and all the earth is seeking the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom that God has put into his heart,
25 २५ ठिकठिकाणाहून दरवर्षी लोक त्याच्या भेटीला येत. येताना प्रत्येकजण नजराणा आणीत असे. सोन्या चांदीच्या वस्तू, कपडे, शस्त्रे, सुगंधी मसाल्याचे पदार्थ, घोडे, खेचरे अशा अनेक गोष्टी ते भेटीदाखल आणत.
and they are each bringing his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armor, and spices, horses, and mules, the matter of a year in a year.
26 २६ शलमोन राजाकडे खूप रथ आणि घोडे होते. त्याच्याकडे चौदाशे रथ आणि बारा हजार घोडे यांचा संग्रह होता. रथासाठी त्याने खास नगरे उभारली आणि त्यामध्ये रथ ठेवले. काही रथ त्याच्याजवळ यरूशलेमेमध्येही होते.
And Solomon gathers chariots, and horsemen, and he has one thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he places them in the cities of the chariot, and with the king in Jerusalem.
27 २७ राजाने इस्राएलाला वैभवाच्या शिखरावर नेले. यरूशलेम नगरात चांदी जमीनीवरील दगडधोंड्यासारखी होती आणि गंधसरुचे लाकूड डोंगरटेकड्यांवर उगवणाऱ्या उंबराच्या झाडासारखे विपुल होते.
And the king makes the silver in Jerusalem as stones, and he has made the cedars as the sycamores that [are] in the low country, for abundance.
28 २८ मिसर व सिलीसिया येथून शलमोन घोडे आणत असे. शलमोन राजाचे व्यापारी ते तांडेच्या तांडे खरेदी करत आणि तेथून ते इस्राएलमध्ये आणत.
And the outgoing of the horses that King Solomon has [is] from Egypt, and from Keveh; merchants of the king take from Keveh at a price;
29 २९ मिसरचा एक रथ साधारण सहाशे शेकेल चांदीला पडे, आणि घोड्याची किंमत दिडशे शेकेल चांदी इतकी पडे. हित्ती आणि अरामी राजांना हे रथ आणि घोडे नंतर विकत असत.
and a chariot comes up and comes out of Egypt for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for one hundred and fifty, and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Aram; they bring out by their hand.
