< Waiata 65 >

1 Ki te tino kaiwhakatangi. He himene, he waiata na Rawiri.
For the end, a Psalm [and] Song of David. Praise becomes you, O God, in Sion; and to you shall the vow be performed.
Hear my prayer; to you all flesh shall come.
3 E kaha ake ana i ahau nga kino: a matou mahi tutu, mau ena e hipoki.
The words of transgressors have overpowered us; but do you pardon our sins.
4 Ka hari te tangata e whiriwhiria e koe, e meatia e koe kia tata atu ki a koe, kia noho i roto i ou marae: ka makona matou i te pai o tou whare, o tou temepara tapu.
Blessed [is he] whom you have chosen and adopted; he shall dwell in your courts; we shall be filled with the good things of your house; your temple is holy.
5 He mea whakawehi, he tapu, tau utu kupu ki a matou, e te Atua o to matou whakaoranga, e te okiokinga o nga pito katoa o te whenua, o te hunga hoki i tawhiti i runga o te moana;
[You are] wonderful in righteousness. Listen to us, O God our Saviour; the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of them [that are] on the sea afar off:
6 E whakau nei i nga maunga, he kaha hoki nona; tona whitiki nei he kaha.
who do establish the mountains in your strength, being girded about with power;
7 E whakamarie nei i te haruru o nga moana, i te haruru o o ratou ngaru, i te ngangau hoki o nga iwi.
who trouble the depth of the sea, the sounds of its waves.
8 Ka wehi ano ki au tohu te hunga e noho ana i nga pito rawa: hari ana i a koe nga putake o te ata, o te ahiahi.
The nations shall be troubled, and they that inhabit the ends [of the earth] shall be afraid of your signs; you will cause the outgoings of morning and evening to rejoice.
You have visited the earth, and saturated it; you have abundantly enriched it. The river of God is filled with water; you have prepared their food, for thus is the preparation [of it].
10 Makuku rawa i a koe ona moa, pe ana i a koe ona tupuke: e whakangawaritia ana e koe ki nga ua: e manaakitia ana e koe tona pihinga ake.
Saturate her furrows, multiply her fruits; [the crop] springing up shall rejoice in its drops.
You will bless the crown of the year [because] of your goodness; and your plains shall be filled with fatness.
The mountains of the wilderness shall be enriched; and the hills shall gird themselves with joy.
13 He hipi te kakahu o nga wahi kai; ngaro ana nga raorao i te witi; hamama ana ratou i te hari, waiata ana.
The rams of the flock are clothed [with wool], and the valleys shall abound in corn; they shall cry aloud, yes they shall sing hymns.
