Of Iudah, Nahshon the sonne of Amminadab:

Of Issachar, Nethaneel, the sonne of Zuar:

9 No Hepurona; ko Eriapa, tama a Herona.

Of Zebulun, Eliab, the sonne of Helon:

So were the sonnes of Reuben Israels eldest sonne by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, man by man euery male from twentie yere olde and aboue, as many as went forth to warre:

21 Ko nga mea o ratou, o te iwi o Reupena, i taua, e wha tekau ma ono mano e rima rau.

The nomber of them, I say, of the tribe of Reuben, was sixe and fourtie thousande, and fiue hundreth.

22 No nga tama a Himiona, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, ko nga mea o ratou i taua, tatau rawa nga ingoa, he pane, he pane, o nga tane katoa e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei nga tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the sonnes of Simeon by their generatios, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, the summe therof by the nomber of their names, man by man, euery male from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:

23 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Himiona, e rima tekau ma iwa mano e toru rau.

The summe of them, I say, of the tribe of Simeon was nine and fiftie thousande, and three hundreth.

24 No nga tama a Kara, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, tatau rawa nga ingoa o nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei nga tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the sonnes of Gad by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:

25 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Kara, e wha tekau ma rima mano e ono rau e rima tekau.

The number of them, I say, of the tribe of Gad was fiue and fourtie thousand, and six hundreth and fiftie.

26 No nga tama a Hura, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, tatau rawa nga ingoa o nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei o ratou tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the sonnes of Iudah by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:

27 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Hura, e whitu tekau ma wha mano e ono rau.

The nomber of them, I say, of the tribe of Iudah was three score and fourteene thousande, and sixe hundreth.

28 No nga tama a Ihakara, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, tatau rawa nga ingoa o nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei o ratou tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the sonnes of Issachar by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:

29 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Ihakara, e rima tekau ma wha mano e wha rau.

The nomber of them also of the tribe of Issachar was foure and fiftie thousande and foure hundreth.

30 No nga tama a Hepurona, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, tatau rawa nga ingoa o nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei o ratou tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the sonnes of Zebulun by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

31 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Hepurona, e rima tekau ma whitu mano e wha rau.

The nomber of them also of the tribe of Zebulun was seuen and fiftie thousand and foure hundreth.

32 No nga tama a Hohepa, ara no nga tama a Eparaima, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, tatau rawa nga ingoa o nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei o ratou tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the sonnes of Ioseph, namely of the sonnes of Ephraim by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

33 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Eparaima, e wha tekau mano e rima rau.

The nomber of them also of the tribe of Ephraim was fourtie thousande and fiue hundreth.

34 No nga tama a Manahi, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, tatau rawa nga ingoa o nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei o ratou tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the sonnes of Manasseh by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

35 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Manahi, e toru tekau ma rua mano e rua rau.

The nober of the also of ye tribe of Manasseh was two and thirtie thousand and two hundreth.

36 No nga tama a Pineamine, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, tatau rawa nga ingoa o nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei o ratou tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the sonnes of Beniamin by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

37 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Pineamine, e toru tekau ma rima mano e wha rau.

The nomber of them also of the tribe of Beniamin was fiue and thirtie thousande and foure hundreth.

38 No nga tama a Rana, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, tatau rawa nga ingoa o nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei o ratou tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the sonnes of Dan by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

39 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Rana, e ono tekau ma rua mano e whitu rau.

The nomber of the also of ye tribe of Dan was three score and two thousand and seue hudreth.

40 No nga tama a Ahera, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, tatau rawa nga ingoa o nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei o ratou tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the sonnes of Asher by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:

41 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Ahera, e wha tekau ma tahi mano e rima rau.

The nomber of them also of ye tribe of Asher was one and fourtie thousand and fiue hudreth.

42 No nga tama a Napatari, i o ratou toronga, i o ratou hapu, i nga whare o o ratou matua, tatau rawa nga ingoa o nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei o ratou tau, o nga mea katoa i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

Of the children of Naphtali, by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went to the warre:

43 Ko nga mea i taua o ratou, o te iwi o Napatari, e rima tekau ma toru mano e wha rua.

The nomber of them also of the tribe of Naphtali, was three and fiftie thousand, and foure hundreth.

44 Ko nga mea enei i taua nei e Mohi, e Arona ratou ko nga ariki kotahi tekau ma rua o Iharaira; takikotahi te tangata o ratou ki te whare o ona matua.

These are the summes which Moses, and Aaron nombred, and the Princes of Israel, the twelue men, which were euery one for the house of their fathers.

45 A, ko aua tangata i taua o nga tama a Iharaira, i nga whare o o ratou matua, nga mea e rua tekau, he maha atu ranei o ratou tau i roto i a Iharaira i kaha ki te haere ki te whawhai;

So this was all the summe of the sonnes of Israel, by the houses of their fathers, from twenty yeere olde and aboue, all that went to the warre in Israel,

46 Ko aua tangata katoa i taua e ono rau e toru mano e rima rau e rima tekau.

And all they were in nomber sixe hudreth and three thousande, fiue hundreth and fiftie.

47 Ko nga Riwaiti ia, i te iwi o o ratou matua, kihai i taua i roto i a ratou.

But the Leuites, after the tribes of their fathers were not nombred among them.

48 Na Ihowa hoki i korero ki a Mohi, i mea,

For the Lord had spoken vnto Moses, and said,

49 Otiia kaua e taua te iwi o Riwai, kaua ano e tirohia to ratou tokomaha i roto i nga tama a Iharaira:

Onely thou shalt not number the tribe of Leui, neither take the summe of them among the children of Israel:

50 Engari me whakarite nga Riwaiti mo te tapenakara o te whakaaturanga, mo ona oko katoa, mo ona mea katoa hoki: ma ratou te tapenakara e amo, me ona oko katoa; a me mahi ki reira, me noho hoki ki tetahi taha, ki tetahi taha o te tapenakara.

But thou shalt appoynt the Leuites ouer the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, and ouer all the instruments thereof, and ouer all things that belong to it: they shall beare the Tabernacle, and all the instruments thereof, and shall minister in it, and shall dwell round about the Tabernacle.

And when the Tabernacle goeth forth, the Leuites shall take it downe: and when the Tabernacle is to be pitched, ye Leuites shall set it vp: for the stranger that commeth neere, shalbe slaine.

Also the children of Israel shall pitch their tentes, euery man in his campe, and euery man vnder his standerd throughout their armies.

But the Leuites shall pitch rounde about the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, least vengeance come vpon the Congregation of the children of Israel, and the Leuites shall take the charge of the Tabernacle of the Testimonie.

54 Na i pera nga tama a Iharaira; rite tonu ki ta Ihowa katoa i whakahau ai ki a Mohi ta ratou mahi.

So the children of Israel did according to all that ye Lord had comanded Moses: so did they.
