Hopa 32
1 Heoi mutu ake te whakahoki kupu a enei tangata tokotoru ki a Hopa, no te mea he tika ia ki tona nei whakaaro.
Und jene drei Männer hörten auf, dem Hiob zu antworten, weil er in seinen Augen gerecht war.
2 Na kua mura te riri o Erihu tama a Parakere Puti, no te whanau i a Rame: mura ana tona riri ki a Hopa, no te mea ki tana tika rawa ia i te Atua.
Da entbrannte der Zorn Elihus, des Sohnes Barakeels, des Busiters, vom Geschlechte Ram; sein Zorn entbrannte wider Hiob, weil er sich selbst mehr rechtfertigte als Gott.

Und sein Zorn entbrannte wider seine drei Freunde, darum, daß sie keine Antwort fanden und Hiob verdammten.

Aber Elihu hatte auf Hiob gewartet mit Reden, weil jene älter an Jahren waren als er.

Und als Elihu sah, daß keine Antwort in dem Munde der drei Männer war, da entbrannte sein Zorn.
6 Na ka oho a Erihu tama a Parakere Puti, ka mea, He taitamariki ahau, ko koutou ia he koroheke rawa; koia ahau i hopohopo ai, i wehi ai ki te whakaatu i toku whakaaro ki a koutou.
Und Elihu, der Sohn Barakeels, der Busiter, hob an und sprach: Ich bin jung an Jahren, und ihr seid Greise; darum habe ich mich gescheut und gefürchtet, euch mein Wissen kundzutun.
7 I mea ahau, Ma nga ra te korero, ma nga tau kua maha e whakaatu te whakaaro nui.
Ich sagte: Mögen die Tage reden, und die Menge der Jahre Weisheit verkünden.
8 Otiia he wairua ano to te tangata, na te manawa ano o te Kaha Rawa ratou i whai mahara ai.
Jedoch der Geist ist es in den Menschen, und der Odem des Allmächtigen, der sie verständig macht.
9 Ko nga tangata nunui, kahore o ratou whakaaro nui, ko nga kaumatua, kahore e matau ki te whakawa.
Nicht die Bejahrten sind weise, noch verstehen die Alten, was recht ist.
10 Koia ahau i mea ai, Whakarongo ki ahau; ka whakakite hoki ahau i toku whakaaro.
Darum sage ich: Höre mir zu, auch ich will mein Wissen kundtun.
11 Nana, i tatari ahau ki a koutou kupu; i whai taringa atu ki o koutou whakaaro mohio i a koutou e rapu kupu ana.
Siehe, ich harrte auf eure Reden, horchte auf eure Einsichten, bis ihr Worte ausfindig gemacht hättet,
12 Nana, mahara tonu atu ahau ki a koutou, a kihai tetahi o koutou i whakaatu i te he o Hopa, i whakahoki kupu ranei ki ana korero.
und ich richtete meine Aufmerksamkeit auf euch; und siehe, keiner ist unter euch, der Hiob widerlegt, der seine Reden beantwortet hätte.
13 Kei mea koutou, Kua kitea e matou te mohio, na te Atua ia i turaki, ehara i te tangata.
Daß ihr nur nicht saget: Wir haben Weisheit gefunden. Gott wird ihn aus dem Felde schlagen, nicht ein Mensch!
14 Na kihai ana kupu i anga mai ki ahau; e kore ano tana e utua e ahau ki a koutou kupu.
Er hat ja an mich keine Worte gerichtet, und mit euren Reden werde ich ihm nicht erwidern. -
15 Porahurahu kau ana ratou, kore ake a ratou kupu whakahoki: mutu ake a ratou korero.
Sie sind bestürzt, sie antworten nicht mehr, die Worte sind ihnen ausgegangen.
16 Kia tatari ahau, no te mea kahore ratou e korero, no te mea e tu kau ana ratou, kahore e whakahoki atu?
Und ich sollte warten, weil sie nicht reden, weil sie dastehen, nicht mehr antworten?
17 Me korero atu hoki e ahau aku kupu, maku ano e whakaatu toku whakaaro.
Auch ich will mein Teil erwidern, auch ich will mein Wissen kundtun.
18 Ki tonu hoki ahau i te korero; e akiakina ana ahau e te wairua i roto i ahau.
Denn voll bin ich von Worten; der Geist meines Innern drängt mich.
19 Nana, ko toku kopu rite tonu ki te waina kahore nei ona putanga; ki te ipu hou e tata ana ia te pakaru.
Siehe, mein Inneres ist wie Wein, der nicht geöffnet ist; gleich neuen Schläuchen will es bersten.
20 Me korero ahau, kia ta ai toku manawa; ka puaki toku mangai, ka whakahoki kupu ahau.
Ich will reden, daß mir Luft werde, will meine Lippen auftun und antworten.
21 Na kaua ahau e whakapai ki te kanohi tangata; e kore hoki ahau e hoatu ingoa whakapaipai ki te tangata.
Daß ich nur ja für niemand Partei nehme! Und keinem Menschen werde ich schmeicheln.
22 Kahore hoki ahau e mohio ki te whakapati; penei kua riro wawe ahau i toku Kaihanga.
Denn ich weiß nicht zu schmeicheln: gar bald würde mein Schöpfer mich hinwegnehmen.
