< Kenehi 31 >

1 A i rongo ia i nga kupu a nga tama a Rapana, e ki ana, Kua riro i a Hakopa nga mea katoa a to tatou papa; na nga mea hoki a to tatou papa i whiwhi ai ia ki tenei kororia katoa.
And he heard [the] words of [the] sons of Laban saying he has taken Jacob all that [belonged] to father our and from [that] which [belonged] to father our he has acquired all the abundance this.
2 A ka titiro a Hakopa ki te mata o Rapanga, na, kihai i pera ki a ia me to era rangi ake.
And he saw Jacob [the] face of Laban and there! not [was] he with him as yesterday three days ago.
3 A ka mea a Ihowa ki a Hakopa, E hoki ki te whenua o ou matua, ki ou whanaunga hoki; a ka tata ahau ki a koe.
And he said Yahweh to Jacob return to [the] land of fathers your and to kindred your so I may be with you.
And he sent Jacob and he summoned Rachel and Leah the field to flock his.
5 A ka mea ia ki a raua, E kite ana ahau i te mata o to korua papa, kahore e pera mai ki ahau me to era rangi ake; otiia i tata mai ki ahau te Atua o toku papa.
And he said to them [am] seeing I [the] face of father your that not [is] he to me as yesterday three days ago and [the] God of father my he has been with me.
6 E mohio ana ano korua, i poto katoa atu toku kaha ki taku mahi ki to korua papa.
And you you know that with all strength my I have served father your.
7 Ko to korua papa ia i tinihanga ki ahau, ka tekau rawa ana whakaputanga ketanga i oku utu; otiia kihai ia i tukua e te Atua kia tukino i ahau.
And father your he has deceived me and he has changed wage[s] my ten times and not he has permitted him God to do harm with me.
8 Mehemea i korero penei ia, Hei nga mea whai tongitongi te utu mou; na, he mea tongitongi katoa nga whanau o nga kahui: a, mehemea ia i ki penei, Hei nga mea whakahekeheke he utu mou, na, he whakahekeheke katoa nga whanau o nga kahui.
If thus he said speckled [ones] it will be wage[s] your and they bore all the flock speckled [ones] and if thus he said striped [ones] it will be wage[s] your and they bore all the flock striped [ones].
9 Koia i tangohia ai e Ihowa nga hipi a to korua papa, a homai ana ki ahau.
And he has taken away God [the] livestock of father your and he has given [it] to me.
10 Na, i te wa i whakahaputia ai te kahui, ka maranga ake oku kanohi, a ka kite moemoea ahau, ko nga toa i ekengia ai nga kahui, he whakahekeheke, he mea whai tongitongi, he mea kotingotingo.
And it was at [the] time mated the flock and I lifted up eyes my and I saw in a dream and there! the male goats which were going up on the flock [were] striped speckled and mottled.
11 I korero moemoea mai ano te anahera a te Atua ki ahau, E Hakopa: a ka mea atu ahau, Tenei ahau.
And he said to me [the] angel of God in a dream O Jacob and I said here [am] I.
12 Na ka mea mai ia, Tena, whakaarahia ake ou kanohi, ka titiro ki nga toa katoa e ekeeke ana i nga kahui, he whakahekeheke, he whai tongitongi, he kotingotingo hoki: kua kite hoki ahau i nga mea katoa i mea nei a Rapana ki a koe.
And he said lift up please eyes your and see all the male goats which are going up on the flock [are] striped speckled and mottled for I have seen all that Laban [is] doing to you.
I [am] the God of Beth-el where you anointed there a pillar where you vowed to me there a vow now arise go out from the land this and return to [the] land of kindred your.
14 Na ka whakahoki a Rahera raua ko Rea, ka mea ki a ia, Tera atu ano ianei tetahi wahi, tetahi taonga tupu ranei mo maua i roto i te whare o to maua papa?
And she answered Rachel and Leah and they said to him ¿ still [belong] to us [does] a share and an inheritance in [the] household of father our.
15 Kahore ianei maua i te kiia e ia he wahine ke noa atu? kua hokona nei hoki maua e ia, kua pau rawa ano i a ia a maua moni.
¿ Not foreigners are we accounted by him for he has sold us and he has consumed also continuously money our.
16 Mo tatou nei hoki, mo a tatou tamariki nga taonga katoa i tangohia nei e te atua i to maua papa: na, tena, meatia nga mea katoa i kiia e te Atua ki a koe.
For all the wealth which he has taken away God from father our [belongs] to us it and to children our and therefore all that he has said God to you do.
17 Na ka whakatika a Hakopa, a whakaekea ana e ia ana tamariki me ana wahine ki runga ki nga kamera;
And he arose Jacob and he lifted up children his and wives his on camels.
18 A kawhakina atu ana e ia ana kararehe katoa, me ona taonga katoa i whiwhi ai ia, nga kararehe i whiwhi ai ia, i riro hoki i a ia i Paranaarama, a haere ana ki a Ihaka, ki tona papa, ki te whenua o Kanaana.
And he drove all livestock his and all possession[s] his which he had accumulated [the] livestock of acquisition his which he had accumulated in Paddan Aram to go to Isaac father his [the] land of towards Canaan.
19 Na ko Rapana kua riro ki te kutikuti i ana hipi: katahi ka tahaetia e Rahera nga whakapakoko a tona papa.
And Laban he had gone to shear sheep his and she stole Rachel the teraphim which [belonged] to father her.
20 Na tahuti ana a Hakopa i a Rapana Hiriani, kihai hoki i whakaaturia tona omanga ki a ia.
And he stole Jacob [the] heart of Laban the Aramean on not he told to him that [was] fleeing he.
And he fled he and all that [belonged] to him and he arose and he passed over the river and he set face his [the] hill country of Gilead.
22 A i te toru o nga ra ka korerotia ki a Rapana, kua oma a Hakopa.
And it was told to Laban on the day third that he had fled Jacob.
23 Na ka tango ia i ona teina hei hoa mona, a ka wahi i a ia, e whitu nga ra ki te ara; a mau atu ia i a ia ki Maunga Kirera.
And he took relatives his with him and he pursued after him a journey of seven days and he overtook him in [the] hill country of Gilead.
And he came God to Laban the Aramean in [the] dream of the night and he said to him take heed to yourself lest you should speak with Jacob from good unto bad.
25 Na ka mau a Hakopa i a Rapana, Na tera kua whakaturia e Hakopa tona teneti ki te maunga: heoi whakaturia ana hoki e Rapana ratou ko ona teina ki Maunga Kirera.
And he overtook Laban Jacob and Jacob he had pitched tent his in the hill country and Laban he pitched tent with relatives his in [the] hill country of Gilead.
26 Na ka mea a Rapana ki a Hakopa, He mahi aha tau, i tahuti mai nei koe i ahau, i kahaki mai nei hoki i aku tamahine, ano he parau na te hoari?
And he said Laban to Jacob what? have you done and you have stolen heart my and you have led away daughters my like captives of [the] sword.
27 He aha i huna ai e koe tou omanga, i tahuti mai ai i ahau; a kihai i korero mai ki ahau, kia tukua ai koe e ahau i runga i te hari, i nga waiata, i te timipera, i te hapa;
Why? did you hide yourself to flee and did you steal? me and not did you tell? to me and I sent away you with gladness and with songs with tambourine and with harp.
28 Kihai ano ahau i tukua e koe kia kihi i aku tama, i aku tamahine? he mahi poauau tenei mahi au.
And not did you allow? me to kiss sons my and daughters my now you have behaved foolishly to do.
29 He kaha kei toku ringa hei whakatupu kino i a koutou: otiia kua korero mai te Atua o to koutou papa ki ahau inapo, kua mea mai, Kia tupato kei korero atu koe, ahakoa pai, ahakoa kino, ki a Hakopa.
There [is] to [the] power of hand my to do with you harm and [the] God of father your last night - he said to me saying take heed to yourself from speaking with Jacob from good unto bad.
30 Na, ahakoa i whakamatea e koe tou haere, no te mea i koroa e koe te whare o tou papa, he aha ra koe i tahae ai i oku atua?
And now certainly you have gone for certainly you longed for [the] household of father your why? did you steal gods my.
31 Na ka whakahoki a Hakopa, ka mea ki a Rapana, No te mea hoki i wehi ahau: i mea hoki ahau, Kei tangohia e koe au tamahine i ahau.
And he answered Jacob and he said to Laban that I was afraid for I said lest you should tear away daughters your from with me.
32 Ko te tangata e kitea e koe ou atua i a ia, kaua ia e whakaorangia: tirohia iho e koe i te aroaro o o taua teina ko ehea mea au kei ahau, ka tango atu ai mau. Kihai hoki a Hakopa i mohio, kua tahaetia aua mea e Rahera.
With [anyone] whom you will find gods your not he will live before relatives our investigate for yourself what? [is] with me and take [it] for yourself and not he knew Jacob that Rachel she had stolen them.
And he went Laban in [the] tent of Jacob - and in [the] tent of Leah and in [the] tent of [the] two the maidservants and not he found [them] and he came out from [the] tent of Leah and he went in [the] tent of Rachel.
And Rachel she had taken the teraphim and she had put them in [the] saddlebag of the camel and she sat on them and he searched Laban all the tent and not he found [them].
And she said to father her may not it burn in [the] eyes of lord my that not I am able to rise from before you for [the] way of women [belongs] to me and he searched and not he found the teraphim.
36 Na ka riri a Hakopa, ka ngangare ki a Rapana: a ka oho a Hakopa, ka mea ki a Rapana, He aha toku hara? he aha toku he, i takare ai koe ki te whai mai i ahau?
And it burned to Jacob and he quarreled with Laban and he answered Jacob and he said to Laban what? [is] transgression my what? [is] sin my that you have hotly pursued after me.
37 Kua whawhakia nei e koe aku mea katoa, he aha te mea i kitea e koe o nga mea katoa o tou whare?
That you have searched all things my what? did you find of all [the] things of household your put [it] thus before relatives my and relatives your so they may decide between [the] two of us.
38 Ka rua tekau enei tau oku ki a koe; kihai i whanau whakatahe au hipi, au koati, kihai ano i kainga e ahau nga hipi toa o tau kahui.
This twenty year[s] I [have been] with you ewes your and female goats your not they have miscarried and [the] rams of flock your not I have eaten.
39 Ko te mea i haea e nga kirehe mohoao kihai i kawea e ahau ki a koe; naku ano tena i whakautu; i rapu utu ano koe mo tena i toku ringa, ahakoa mo te mea i tahaetia i te awatea, mo te mea ranei i tahaetia i te po.
A torn animal not I brought to you I I bore [the] loss of it from hand my you sought it [one] stolen of day and [one] stolen of night.
40 Ko taku hanga tena; i te awatea i pau ahau i te matewai, i te po i te huka; a turere ana te moe i oku kanohi.
I was in the day it consumed me heat and frost in the night and it fled sleep my from eyes my.
41 Ka rua tekau enei tau oku ki tou whare; kotahi tekau ma wha nga tau i mahi ai ahau ki a koe mo au tamahine tokorua, e ono tau hoki mo au hipi: a ka tekau au whakaputanga ketanga i nga utu moku.
This [belonged] to me twenty year[s] in household your I served you four-teen year[s] for [the] two daughters your and six years for flock[s] your and you changed wage[s] my ten times.
If not [the] God of father my [the] God of Abraham and [the] fear of Isaac he had been to me for now empty you sent away me affliction my and ([the] toil of *LB(ah)*) hands my he has seen God and he decided last night.
43 Na ko te whakahokinga a Rapana, ko te meatanga ki a Hakopa, He tamahine naku enei tamahine, he tamariki ano naku enei tamariki, he kahui ano hoki naku enei kahui, a ko nga mea katoa e kite nei koe, naku: a he aha taku e mea ai akuanei ki enei ta mahine aku, ki a raua tamariki ranei i whanau nei i a raua?
And he answered Laban and he said to Jacob the daughters [are] daughters my and the children [are] children my and the flock [is] flock my and all that you [are] seeing [belongs] to me it and for daughters my what? will I do for these this day or for children their whom they have borne.
44 Na, tena, haere mai, kia whakarite kawenata taua, a koe me ahau; a ka waiho hei kaiwhakaatu ki a taua.
And therefore come! let us make a covenant I and you and it will become a witness between me and between you.
45 Na ka tikina tetahi kohatu e Hakopa, a whakaarahia ake e ia hei pou.
And he took Jacob a stone and he raised up it a pillar.
46 A ka mea a Hakopa ki ona teina, Kohia mai he kohatu; na ka tikina atu e ratou etahi kohatu, ka hanga he puranga: a kai ana ratou ki reira ki runga ki te puranga.
And he said Jacob to relatives his gather stones and they took stones and they made a heap and they ate there at the heap.
47 A huaina iho taua mea e Rapana ko Iekarahaharuta: na Hakopa ia i hua ko Kareere.
And he called it Laban Jegar Sahadutha and Jacob he called it Galeed.
48 Na ka mea a Rapana, Hei kaiwhakaatu tenei puranga i tenei ra ki a taua. Na reira i huaina ai tona ingoa ko Kareere;
And he said Laban the heap this [is] a witness between me and between you this day there-fore (he called *LA(bh)*) name its Galeed.
49 Ko Mihipa hoki; i mea hoki ia, Ma Ihowa e titiro mai ki a taua, ina matara atu taua i a taua.
And Mizpah that he said may he keep watch Yahweh between me and between you for we will be hidden each from neighbor his.
If you will mistreat daughters my and if you will take wives to daughters my there not [is] anyone with us see God [is] a witness between me and between you.
51 I mea ano a Rapana ki a Hakopa, Titiro ki tenei puranga, a titiro hoki ki tenei pou i waiho iho nei e ahau i waenganui i a taua;
And he said Laban to Jacob here! - the heap this and here! the pillar which I have set up between me and between you.
[is] a witness The heap this and [is] a witness the pillar if I not I will pass beyond to you the heap this and if you not you will pass beyond to me the heap this and the pillar this for harm.
[the] God of Abraham and [the] God of Nahor may they judge between us [the] God of father their and he swore Jacob by [the] fear of father his Isaac.
And he sacrificed Jacob a sacrifice in the hill country and he invited relatives his to eat food and they ate food and they stayed [the] night in the hill country.
55 A ka maranga wawe a Rapana i te ata, ka kihi i ana tama, i ana tamahine, ka manaaki hoki i a ratou: na haere ana a Rapana, hoki ana ki tona wahi.
And he rose early Laban in the morning and he kissed sons his and daughters his and he blessed them and he went and he returned Laban to own place his.
