< 2 Timoti 4 >

I attest thee before Aloha, and our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, who is to judge the living and the dead at the revelation of his kingdom:
2 Kauwhautia te kupu; tohea i nga wa pai, i nga wa kino; riria te he, whakahengia iho, whakahaua, whakapaua te manawanui me te whakaako.
preach the word, and stand with diligence in season, and (that) which is not season; confute, and rebuke with all prolongedness of mind and doctrine.
3 Tenei ake hoki te wa e kore ai ratou e whakarongo ki te whakaako tika; heoi, i te mea he taringa minamina o ratou, ka apohia e ratou he kaiwhakaako e rite ana ki o ratou na hiahia.
For the time will come, when sound doctrine they will not hear; but according to their desires will multiply to themselves teachers, in the itching of their hearing.
And from the truth they will turn away their ear, but to fables will decline.
5 Kia mau ia koe i nga mea katoa; tukua atu nga mamae ki a koe; mahia te mahi a te kaikauwhau i te rongopai; whakapaua tau mahi minita.
But watch thou in every thing, and endure evils, and work the work of an evangelist, and thy ministry fulfil.
6 Tenei hoki ahau kei te ringihia, kua rite ano te wa hei haerenga moku.
But I am sacrificed, and the time when I shall be dissolved cometh.
7 Kua whawhaitia e ahau te whawhai pai, kua omakia toku omanga, kua rite i ahau te whakapono:
The good agony I have fought, and my running I have completed, and my faith I have kept.
And from now there is kept for me the crown of righteousness, which my Lord will give me in that day, because he is a righteous judge: yet, not only to me, but to all them who love his manifestation.
BE careful to come to me speedily;
10 Kua whakarerea ahau e Rimaha, he aroha nona ki tenei ao, a haere ana a ki Teharonika; kua riro atu a Kerekena ki Karatia, a Taituha ki Raramatia. (aiōn g165)
for Dema hath left me, and hath loved this world, and is gone to Thessalonika; Krispos to Galatia, Titos to Dalmatia; (aiōn g165)
11 Ko Ruka anake kei ahau. Tena a Maka mauria mai hei hoa mou; he pai hoki ia mo taku mahi minita.
Luka only is with me. Take Markos and bring him with thee; for helpful to me is he in the ministry.
12 Kua tonoa e ahau a Tikiku ki Epeha.
But Tykikos have I sent to Ephesos.
13 Ka haere mai koe, mauria mai te koroka i mahue atu i ahau ki Toroa, ki a Karapu, me nga pukapuka; tena rawa ia nga kirihipi.
The case (for) books which I left at Troas with Karpos, when thou comest bring, and the books, and especially the roll of parchments.
14 He maha nga kino i meatia mai e Arehanera, e te kaimahi parahi ki ahau: ma te Ariki e hoatu ki a ia he utu e rite ana ki ana mahi:
Alexander the brass-worker many evils hath showed me: our Lord awardeth to him according to his deeds.
15 Kia tupato hoki koe ki a ia; he rahi rawa hoki tana totohe ki a matou kupu.
But be thou also aware of him, for he is much uplifted against our words.
16 I taku korerotanga tuatahi, i karo ai i ahau, kahore he tangata hei tuara moku, heoi whakarerea ake ahau e te katoa. Kaua tenei e whakairia ki a ratou.
In the first defence no man was with me, but all of them left me. May this not be reckoned to them!
But my Lord stood with me, that by me the preaching might be fulfilled, and (that) all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered from the mouth of the lion.
18 Tera ahau e toia mai e te Ariki i roto i nga mahi kino katoa, e whakaorangia hoki tae noa ki tona rangatiratanga i te rangi: waiho atu i a ia te kororia ake ake. Amine. (aiōn g165)
And my Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me into his kingdom, which is in heaven. To Him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Give salutation to Priskela, and to Akilos, and to the house of Onesiphoros.
20 I noho atu a Eratu i Koriniti: ko Toropimu i mahue atu i ahau ki Miretu, he mate.
Erastos remains at Kurinthos; but Trophimos I left ill in Miletos the city.
Be careful to come before winter. Ebulos and Pudis, and Linos, and Klaudia, and all the brethren, ask for your peace.
Our Lord Jeshu Meshiha be with thy spirit. Grace be with thee. Amen.
