1 Teharonika 4
1 Heoi, e oku teina, he mea tenei na matou, he whakahau ki a koutou i roto i te Ariki, i a Ihu, kua riro atu na hoki ta matou i a koutou, a e meinga na hoki e koutou, ara te tikanga mo ta koutou haere, mo ta koutou whakamanawareka atu ki te Atua, n a, kia tino hira rawa tera a koutou.
Weiter nun, ihr Brüder, bitten und ermahnen wir euch in dem Herrn Jesus, daß ihr in dem, was ihr von uns gelernt habt, nämlich wie ihr wandeln und Gott gefallen sollt, noch mehr zunehmet.

Denn ihr wisset, welche Gebote wir euch gegeben haben durch den Herrn Jesus.

Denn das ist der Wille Gottes, eure Heiligung, daß ihr euch der Unzucht enthaltet;

daß jeder von euch wisse, sein eigenes Gefäß in Heiligung und Ehre zu besitzen,

nicht mit leidenschaftlicher Gier wie die Heiden, die Gott nicht kennen;

daß niemand zuweit greife und seinen Bruder im Handel übervorteile; denn der Herr ist ein Rächer für das alles, wie wir euch zuvor gesagt und bezeugt haben.

Denn Gott hat uns nicht zur Unreinigkeit berufen, sondern zur Heiligung.

Darum also, wer sich darüber hinwegsetzt, der verachtet nicht Menschen, sondern Gott, der auch seinen heiligen Geist in uns gegeben hat.

Über die Bruderliebe aber habt ihr nicht nötig, daß man euch schreibe; denn ihr seid selbst von Gott gelehrt, einander zu lieben,

und das tut ihr auch an allen Brüdern, die in ganz Mazedonien sind. Wir ermahnen euch aber, ihr Brüder, darin noch mehr zuzunehmen

und eure Ehre darein zu setzen, ein ruhiges Leben zu führen, eure eigenen Angelegenheiten zu besorgen und mit euren eigenen Händen zu arbeiten, ganz wie wir euch befohlen haben,

damit ihr ehrbar wandelt vor denen draußen und niemandes [Hilfe] bedürfet.
13 E kore ia matou e pai, e oku teina, kia kuware koutou ki te hunga kua moe, kei koingo koutou, kei pera me era atu kahore nei o ratou tumanakotanga atu.
Wir wollen euch aber, ihr Brüder, nicht in Unwissenheit lassen in betreff der Entschlafenen, damit ihr nicht traurig seid wie die andern, die keine Hoffnung haben.
14 Ki te whakapono hoki tatou kua mate a Ihu, kua ara ake ano, waihoki ko te hunga e moe ana i roto i a Ihu, ka arahina tahitia mai ratou me ia e te Atua.
Denn wenn wir glauben, daß Jesus gestorben und auferstanden ist, so wird Gott auch die Entschlafenen durch Jesus mit ihm führen.
15 Ko ta matou korero hoki tenei ki a koutou, he mea ki mai na te Ariki, ko tatou, ko te hunga kua mahue ki te ora, ki te taenga mai o te Ariki, e kore e pahika atu ki mua o te hunga kua moe.
Denn das sagen wir euch in einem Worte des Herrn, daß wir, die wir leben und bis zur Wiederkunft des Herrn übrigbleiben, den Entschlafenen nicht zuvorkommen werden;
16 No te mea ko te Ariki pu ano e heke iho i te rangi me te karanga, me te reo o te tino anahera, me te tetere a te Atua; a ko te hunga kua mate i roto i a te Karaiti e ara i mua.
denn er selbst, der Herr, wird, wenn der Befehl ergeht und die Stimme des Erzengels und die Posaune Gottes erschallt, vom Himmel herniederfahren, und die Toten in Christus werden auferstehen zuerst.
17 Ko reira tatou, te hunga kua mahue ki te ora, kahakina ngatahitia atu ai me ratou i runga i nga kapua, ki te whakatau ki te Ariki i te rangi: na ka noho tonu tatou ki te Ariki.
Darnach werden wir, die wir leben und übrigbleiben, zugleich mit ihnen entrückt werden in Wolken, zur Begegnung mit dem Herrn, in die Luft, und also werden wir bei dem Herrn sein allezeit.

So tröstet nun einander mit diesen Worten!
