Und es geschah, als Salomoh den Bau des Hauses Jehovahs und des Hauses des Königs und alles, wonach Salomoh verlangte, was er Lust hatte zu machen, vollendet hatte;

Wenn ihr aber, ihr und eure Söhne euch von Mir hinter sich zurückwendet und Meine Gebote, Meine Satzungen, die Ich vor euch gegeben, nicht haltet, und hingeht und anderen Göttern dient und sie anbetet,

So werde Ich Israel ausrotten von dem Boden, den Ich ihnen gab, und das Haus, das Ich für Meinen Namen heiligte, wegtun vor Meinem Angesicht, und Israel soll zum Sprichwort und zur Stichelrede unter allen Völkern werden.

Und über diesem Haus, sei es auch das höchste, wird jeder, der vorübergeht, sich entsetzen und zischen und sagen: Warum hat doch Jehovah mit diesem Land und mit diesem Haus solches getan?

Und sie werden sprechen: Darum, daß sie Jehovah, ihren Gott, verlassen, Der ihre Väter aus dem Lande Ägypten ausgeführt, und daß sie andere Götter erfaßt und sie angebetet und ihnen gedient haben; darum hat Jehovah all dies Böse über sie hereingebracht.

Und es geschah am Ende von den zwanzig Jahren, die Salomoh an den zwei Häusern, dem Hause Jehovahs und dem Hause des Königs, gebaut;

Die Tochter Pharaos aber war aus der Stadt Davids nach ihrem Hause, das er ihr gebaut hatte, heraufgezogen; dann baute er das Millo.

Und der König Salomoh machte sich Schiffe zu Ezjon-Geber, welches ist bei Eloth am Ufer des Schilfmeeres im Lande Edom.

Und sie kamen nach Ophir, und holten von da Gold, vierhundertzwanzig Talente, und brachten sie dem Könige Salomoh.
