1 Nahakna achumba tambiba aduga yanaba adu tambigadabani.
You however, should speak of such subjects as properly have a place in sound teaching.
2 Ahal oibasingbu pukning tappa, ikai khumnabada matik chaba, masa khudum chanjaba, thajabada chumba, nungsiheiba amasung akhangkanba oinaba tambiyu.
Teach that the older men should be soberly clear minded, dignified and self-controlled – sound in faith, love, and patient endurance.
3 Matou adugumna ahal oirabisingbu asengba punsi ama hingba nupi amana chatkadaba lichat sajat chatnaba tambiyu. Makhoina mi hunduna ngangloidabani nattraga yuda laichurabi haibadu oiroidabani. Makhoina aphaba haibadu tambigadabani.
So, too, that the older women should live reverent lives, not slanderers, not slaves to excessive drinking.
4 Adu oirabadi makhoina naha oibi nupisingbu makhoi makhoigi mapuroibasing amadi machasingbu nungsiba,
They should teach what is good, so as to train the younger women to love their husbands and children,
5 masa khudum chanjaba amasung asengbi, yumgi thabakta chinjabi, thoujal heibi aduga makhoi makhoigi mapuroibasinggi makha ponbi oinaba insinba ngamgani, adu oirabadi Tengban Mapugi wabu kana amatana thina ngangloi.
and to be self-controlled, pure-minded, to be watching over their home, to be kind, respecting the authority of their husbands, so that no one will speak badly of God’s message.
6 Adugumduna naha oiba nupasingbu masa khudum channaba insinbiyu.
In the same way with the younger men – encourage them to be self-controlled.
7 Maram pumnamakta aphaba haibadu touduna makhoida pandam oina utlu. Nahakki tambibada pukchel sengba amadi thawai yaoba oiyu.
In all things, set an example of doing good. In your teaching, show integrity and seriousness –
8 Kana amatana lalhanba ngamdaba achumba wa adu ngang-u madu oirabadi eikhoigi maramda phattaba ngangnaba karisu phangdaba maramna nahakki yeknabasing adu ikaihan-gani.
let the instruction that you give be sound and above reproach, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed when they fail to find anything bad to say about us.
9 Minaisingna makhoigi mapusinggi makha ponba amadi maram khudingmakta makhoibu pelhanba, makhoigi chinthakta khumdaba
Tell slaves to respect their owner’s authority in all circumstances, and to try their best to please them.
10 nattraga makhoidagi hurandaba adubu makhoidi mapung phana thajaba yabani haiba utnaba makhoibu tambiyu, madu oirabadi maram pumnamakta eikhoigi Kanbiba Mapu Tengban Mapu Ibungogi maramda tambiba adu makhoina pamhanba oihan-gani.
Teach them not to contradict or to pilfer, but to show such praiseworthy fidelity in everything, as to recommend the teaching about God our Saviour by all that they do.
11 Maramdi Tengban Mapuna mi pumnamakki aran-khubhamgidamak mahakki thoujal adu phongdokpire.
For the loving kindness of God has been revealed, bringing salvation for all,
12 Tengban Mapu ningdaba amasung taibangpan-gi oiba apamba adu thadoktuna, isa khudum chanjaba, pukchel tingba, amadi ngasigi taibangpan asida laining chetpa punsi ama hingnaba thoujal asina eikhoibu tambi, (aiōn g165)
leading us to renounce ungodliness and worldly desires, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives here in this present age, (aiōn g165)
13 madu eikhoina asa toujariba matik chaoraba eikhoigi Tengban Mapu amadi Kanbiba Mapu Jisu Christtagi matik mangal adu uhanbiba yaipharaba Numit adu ngaijaringeida oigadaba matou aduni.
while awaiting our blessed hope – the appearing in glory of our great God and Saviour, Christ Jesus.
14 Eikhoibu phattaba pumnamaktagi kanbinaba, aphaba thabaksingda thawai yaoba amasung Ibungo mahak khaktagi oiba asengba mising oinanaba Ibungo mahakna eikhoigidamak pithokpire.
For he gave himself on our behalf, to deliver us from all wickedness, and to purify for himself a people who should be truly his own and eager to do good.
15 Hiramsing asi tambiyu, nahakki wa tabasing adubu nahakna thougatpiba amadi chei-thangbada matik pumnamak sijinnou. Kana amatana nahakpu hanthana yenghan-ganu.
Tell them of all this, and encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone belittle you.
