< Phongdokpiba 18 >
1 Masigi matungda atoppa swargadut ama swargadagi kumtharakpa eina ure. Mahak matik yamna leirammi, amasung mahakki matik mangalna malem pumba ngallammi.
After these things I saw another angel coming down out of the heaven, having great authority; and the earth was lighted with his glory.
2 Aduga mahakna ahouba khonjelda laorak-i: “Mahak ture! Achouba Babylon ture! Mahak houjikti lai phattabasing amadi sengdaba thawaisinggi kaidongpham oire, aduga amotpa makhal pumnamakna amadi tukkachaningai oiraba ucheksingna mangonda leire.
And he cried with a strong voice, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and has become the habitation of demons, and the hold of every unclean spirit, and the den of every unclean and hateful bird;
3 Maramdi phurup pumnamakna mahakki yu haibadi mahakki nupa nupi lannabagi akanba yu adu thakle. Malemgi ningthousingna mahakka loinana nupa nupi lannabagi oktaba thabak toure, taibangpanbagi lalonbasingna mahakki laksinba ngamdraba nungainingbagi apamba adudagi inak khullakle.”
because all nations have fallen of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich from the costliness of her delicacy.
4 Adudagi eina swargadagi atoppa khonjel amana asumna haiba tare: “Thoraklo, eigi misa, mangondagi thoraklo! Nakhoina mahakki papka saruk phangminnadasanu; Nakhoina mahakki cheirakta saruk phangminnadasanu!
And I heard another voice out of the heaven, saying, Come out from her, my people, in order that you may not partake of her sins, and in order that you may not receive of her plagues;
5 Maramdi mahakki papsing adu swarga youna peikhatle, Aduga Tengban Mapuna magi phattraba lambising adubu ningsingle.
because her sins have mounted up to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
6 Mahakna pikhiba adumak mangondasu handuna piyu; Mahakna toukhiba pumnamak adugi saruk ani mangonda hallu. Mahakna nahakki thaknanaba thourang toukhiba adudagi, saruk ani henna kanba thaknaba aduna mahakki tenggot adu thalhallu.
Give unto her as indeed she has given, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she mixed, mix unto her double:
7 Mahak masana masada matik mangal amadi ake amou pijakhiba adugumna, adukki matik awaba amadi awa meichak mangonda piyu. Maramdi mahakna mathamoida napal toujakhi, ‘Eina maphamsida leimarembi oina phamli! Eidi lukhrabi natte, Eina keidounungda awaba khangloi!’
as to so many things as she has glorified herself, and lived wantonly, give unto her so much torment and sorrow. Because she says in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow; and I see no sorrow;
8 Maram asimakna, mahakpu nongmakhaktada awa anasing asina yeithugani, madudi laina laithung, awaba, amadi chak tangba nanggani. Aduga mahakpu meida chakhangani, maramdi mahakpu wayelliba Tengban Mapu Ibungo adu matik leibani.”
therefore in one day shall her plagues come, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burnt up with fire: because God, the one judging her, is a mighty Lord.
9 Mahakka loinana nupa nupi lannabagi thabak touminnakhiba amadi mahakki ake amouda saruk phangminnakhiba malemgi ningthousingna mahakpu meina chakpagi meikhu adu uba matamda makhoina mahakkidamak kapkani amasung tengtha naowoigani.
And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication with her, and lived wantonly, will weep and wail over her, when they may see the smoke of her burning,
10 Mahakki awa meichak aduda kiraduna makhoina lapna leptuna haigani: “Awabanida! Naphamda awabanida, achouba sahar, matik leiba Babylon sahar nahakti! Pung amakhakki manungda nahakki wayel adu lakle.”
and standing afar off on account of the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, the great city, the strong city, Babylon! because in one hour thy judgment came.
11 Malemgi lalonbasingsu magidamak kapkani amasung tengthagani, maramdi mi kana amatana makhoigi lalonpotsing adu makha tana leibidre;
And the merchants of the earth are weeping and mourning over her; because no one any longer buys their merchandise:
12 Kana amatana makhoigi sana, lupa, mamal yamba nung, mani mukta, makhoigi mamal yamba linengi phising, mangra machugi phi, muga, ngangsang ngangba phi; atangba u makhal pumnamak, amadi samu mayana, mamal tangba u-na, pithrai, yot amadi marblena saba makhal khudingmakki potsing leibidre,
their merchandise of gold, and of silver, and of precious stones, and of pearls, and of fine linen; and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet, and all thyine wood, and every vessel of ivory, and every vessel of most valuable wood, and of brass, and of iron, and of marble;
13 aduga usingsa, maru marang, mengkruk, myrrh amadi kunduru, yu, chorphongi thao, yam amadi gehu, sa-san amadi yao, sagol amadi sagol gari, minai oina yolliba mioibabu leibidre.
and cinnamon, and amomum, and incense, and myrrh, and libation, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and cattle, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and bodies and souls of men;
14 Lalonbasing aduna mangonda hai, “Nahakki oiba paamjaramba aphaba pot pumnamaksu mangkhre, amasung nahakki lanthum pumba amadi sumhatningai oina phajaba pumnamak mangkhre, aduga nahakna keidounungda makhoibu amuk hanna phangba ngamlaroi!”
and the fruit of thy soul's inordinate desire has departed from thee; and all things bright and shining have perished from thee, and they will no longer find them.
15 Sahar aduda lalon itik touduna inak-khunba oikhraba lalonbasing aduna yamna lapna lepkani, maramdi makhoina mahakki awa ana khaangba adu saruk yaminnaba kirammi. Makhoina kapkani amasung tengthagani,
The merchants of these things, who have grown rich from her, will stand a long way off on account of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning;
16 aduga haigani, Awabanida! Achouba sahar, nahakti awabanida, ananba linen phi, mangra machu amasung ngangsang ngangba phi setpi, amadi sanagi leitengsing, mamal yamba nung amasung mani muktana leitengbi!
saying, Alas, alas, the great city, clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and gilded with gold, and precious stone, and pearl! because in one hour so great riches have come to desolation.
17 Aduga pung amagi manungda lanthum pumnamaksing asi mahakna mangle! Hi chingliba luchingba pumnamak amadi hi tonglibasing, hiroising amadi samudrada makhoigi hingnabagi sel talliba atei pumnamaksing aduna yamna lapna leplammi.
And every pilot, and every one sailing to the place, both the sailors and so many as traverse the sea, stood a long way off,
18 Aduga mahakpu meina chakpagi meikhu adu makhoina ubada, makhoina laorak-i, “Masigi achouba sahar asiga mannaba sahar ama keidoungeida leikhidri”
and they continued to cry seeing the smoke of her burning, saying, Who is like unto the great city?
19 Makhoina makhoigi makokta uphul chaikhatkani, aduga kaptuna amadi tengthaduna haigani: “Awabanida! Nangdi awabanida, mahakki maran mathumgi mapanna samudrada leiriba higi mapu pumnamakna inak khunba oirakkhiba achouba sahar! Pung amagi manungda mahakti pumang mangledo!”
And they continued to cast dust upon their heads, and cry, weeping and mourning, saying, Alas, alas, the great city, in which all those having ships in the sea became rich from her costliness! that in one hour she is made desolate.
20 Mahakki maramna haraojaro, he swarga! Haraojaro, Tengban Mapugi mising nakhoi! Haraojaro, pakhonchatpasing amadi Tengban Mapugi wa phongdokpasing! Maramdi mahakna nakhoida toukhiba wayel aduna Tengban Mapuna mahakpu wayelle!
Rejoice over her, O heaven, and the saints, and the apostles, and the prophets; because God has judged your judgment from her.
21 Adudagi matik leiba swargadut amana achouba chakri nungmuk chaoba nungjao ama loukhatlaga samudrada langthaduna hairak-i, “Asigumba akanba saphu asiga loinana achouba sahar Babylon-bu hunthagani, aduga amuk hanna uba khak phanglaroi.”
And one strong angel lifted up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with a mighty fall shall Babylon the great city, be cast down, and can be found no more.
22 Nangondagi binagi khonjel, mioibagi khonjel, basi amadi peresingga khongbasinggi khonjel amuk hanna keidounungda tararoi. Sinpham amatadagi sinmi amata nangonda keidounungda amuk phanglaroi; aduga chakkrigi makhol amuk hanna taba phanglaroi!
And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and flute-players, and trumpeters, shall no more be heard in thee; and every artificer of every art shall no more be found in thee; and the sound of the mill shall no longer be heard in thee;
23 Thaomeigi mangal amuk hanna keidounungda nangonda uba phanglaroi; nagondagi bor amadi keinyagi khonjel taba phanglaroi. Nahakki lalonbasingdi taibangpan apumbada khwaidagi henna matik leibasingni, aduga nahakki aranba hidam yaidamba adugi mapanna taibangpanbagi mi pumnamakpu lounam toukhi.
and the light of a candle shall no more shine in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and the bride shall no longer be heard in thee: because thy merchants were the great men of the earth; because by thy sorcery all nations were deceived,
24 Babylon-bu cheirak pikhi maramdi Tengban Mapugi wa phongdokpasing amadi Tengban Mapugi misinggi ee sahar asida phangkhi; hoi, malemda hatkhiba makhoi pumnamkki ee aduni.
truly in her is found the blood of prophets, and saints, and all those who have been slain upon the earth.
