1 Thajaba haibasi eikhoina asa touriba pot adugi maramda soidre haiba, udaba potsing adugi maramda chingnadana soidre haiba aduni.
Now faith is [the] substantiating of things hoped for, [the] conviction of things not seen.
2 Mamangngeigi misingna makhoigi thajabagi mapanna Tengban Mapugi yabiba phangkhi.
For in [the power of] this the elders have obtained testimony.
3 Tengban Mapugi waheigi mapanna taibangpan apumba sembikhi haibasi thajabagi mapanna eikhoina khang-i, maram aduna uriba pot adu uba ngamdaba pottagi sembani. (aiōn g165)
By faith we apprehend that the worlds were framed by [the] word of God, so that that which is seen should not take its origin from things which appear. (aiōn g165)
4 Thajabagi mapanna Abel-na Tengban Mapugi maphamda Cain-na katpa adudagi henna phaba iratpot katkhi. Mahakki thajabagi mapanna mahakpu achumba chatpa mi ama oibagi ayaba Tengban Mapudagi phangjakhi maramdi Tengban Mapu masamakna mahakki khudol adu loubikhi. Aduga mahakki thajabagi mapanna mahak sirabasu houjiksu wa ngangli.
By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained testimony of being righteous, God bearing testimony to his gifts, and by it, having died, he yet speaks.
5 Thajabagi mapanna Enoch-ki punsida siba haibasi thengnadana mahakpu Tengban Mapugi maphamda loukhatpikhi, aduga mahakpu kana amatana thiba phangdre maramdi Tengban Mapuna mahakpu loukhatpikhre. Mahakpu loukhatpidringeida mahakna Tengban Mapubu pelhalle haina Mapugi puyana hai.
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him; for before [his] translation he has the testimony that he had pleased God.
6 Thajaba yaodana kananasu Tengban Mapubu pelhanba haibasi oithokte, maramdi Tengban Mapugi maphamda changjarakpa mahak aduna Tengban Mapu lei amasung pukning changna mahakpu thijabasingda mana pibiba mapuni haiba mahakna thajagadabani.
But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]. For he that draws near to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them who seek him out.
7 Thajabagi mapanna Noah-na uba ngamdaba tungda thokkadabasinggi maramda Tengban Mapuna piba cheksin wasing adu mahakpu tahanbikhi. Tengban Mapuna haiba adu induna mahak amadi mahakki imung manung adubu kankhiba hi ama sakhi. Maduna maram oiraga taibangpan asi aranbada takhi aduga thajabadagi lakpa achumba chatpa adu Noah-na Tengban Mapudagi phangjakhi.
By faith, Noah, oracularly warned concerning things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which [is] according to faith.
8 Tengban Mapuna pibigani haina wasakpikhiba leibak amada chatnaba Tengban Mapuna koubibada thajabagi mapanna Abraham-bu haiba ilhankhi. Mahakna kadaida chatlibano haiba khangdana masamakki leibak mahakna thadoklammi.
By faith Abraham, being called, obeyed to go out into the place which he was to receive for an inheritance, and went out, not knowing where he was going.
9 Tengban Mapuna mangonda pibigani wasakpikhiba leibak aduda thajabagi mapanna mireibak macha amagumna mahakna phiyumda leirammi. Tengban Mapudagi chap manaba wasak phangkhiba Isaac amasung Jacob-su phiyumda leirammi.
By faith he sojourned as a stranger in the land of promise as a foreign country, having dwelt in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with [him] of the same promise;
10 Maramdi Tengban Mapuna thourang langbiba amasung hongba naidraba yumphamda sagatpiraba sahar adubu Abraham-na ngaijarammi.
for he waited for the city which has foundations, of which God is [the] artificer and constructor.
11 Abraham chahi yamlaba ahal ama oirabasu amadi Sarah masamaksu mironba yabagi chahi adu lanthokkhrabasu thajabagi mapanna Abraham-bu mapa ama oihanbikhi. Tengban Mapuna wasakkhiba adu Ibungo mahakna ngakkani haibadu mahakna thajakhi.
By faith also Sarah herself received strength for [the] conception of seed, and [that] beyond a seasonable age; since she counted him faithful who promised.
12 Tasengbagidi Abraham-di siraba amagumlabani adubu nupa asidagi atiyagi thawanmichaksinggum amadi ipak mapan-gi masing thingamdraba leingoigumna masing yamkhraba charol surol kaya thorakkhi.
Wherefore also there have been born of one, and that of one become dead, even as the stars of heaven in multitude, and as the countless sand which [is] by the sea shore.
13 Makhoi pumnamaksing adu wasakpibasing adu phangdana thaja thajana sikhi adubu makhoina ujakhi amasung athappadagi taramna makhoibu okchakhi. Makhoina malemda leiringeida makhoi mireibak machani amadi lamlanbani haina phongna yajakhi.
All these died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them from afar off and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and sojourners on the earth.
14 Asumna hairiba mising asina makhoigi oiba mareibak ama thiri haibasi mayek senghalli.
For they who say such things shew clearly that they seek [their] country.
15 Makhoina thadoklamlaba lam adu makhoina ningsingduna adum leiramlagadi, makhoina mapham aduda amuk hankhibagi khudongchaba phanglamgadabani.
And if they had called to mind that from whence they went out, they had had opportunity to have returned;
16 Adubu madugi mahutta makhoina henna phaba, haibadi swargagi leibak adu khourangjarammi. Maram aduna makhoigi Tengban Mapu haina koujaba aduda Tengban Mapuna ikaijade, maramdi mahakna makhoigidamak sahar ama thourang toubire.
but now they seek a better, that is, a heavenly; wherefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God; for he has prepared for them a city.
17 Tengban Mapuna Abraham-bu chang yengbada, thajabagi mapanna mahakna mahakki machanupa Isaac-pu katchare. Tengban Mapuna wasakpiba adu Abraham-dani, adubu mahakna mahakki amatta ngairaba machanupabu irapot oina katnanaba sem sajare.
By faith Abraham, [when] tried, offered up Isaac, and he who had received to himself the promises offered up his only begotten [son],
18 Tengban Mapuna mangonda haikhi, “Isaac-ki mapandagi eina wasakkhiba nahakki charol surol adu phangjagani.”
as to whom it had been said, In Isaac shall thy seed be called:
19 Isaac-pu asibasinggi maraktagi Tengban Mapuna hinggat-hanba ngammi haiba Abraham-na khankhi. Aduga pandam oina hairabada mahakna Isaac-pu asibasinggi maraktagi phangjakhi.
counting that God [was] able to raise [him] even from among [the] dead, whence also he received him in a figure.
20 Thajabagi mapanna Jacob amasung Esau-gi tungda oirakdabasinggi maramda Isaac-na makhoida yaipha thoujal pibikhi.
By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
21 Thajabagi mapanna Jacob-na sidringeida mahakna Josheph-ki machanupasingbu yaipha thoujal pibikhi amasung mahakki cheisu matonda ngajaraga Tengban Mapubu khurumjakhi.
By faith Jacob [when] dying blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshipped on the top of his staff.
22 Thajabagi mapanna Joseph-na siramdaida, Israel machasingna Egypt thadokkadabagi maramda haikhi amasung mahakki sarugi maramda yathang pirammi.
By faith Joseph [when] dying called to mind the going forth of the sons of Israel, and gave commandment concerning his bones.
23 Thajabagi mapanna Moses-pu mama mapana mahakpu poklaba matungda tha ahum lottuna thamkhi, maramdi makhoina mahakpu achamba angang natte haibadu urammi, aduga makhoina ningthougi yathang adu kiramde.
By faith Moses, being born, was hid three months by his parents, because they saw the child beautiful; and they did not fear the injunction of the king.
24 Thajabagi mapanna Moses-na mapung marei pharaklabada, mahakna Pharaoh-gi macha nupigi machanupani haiba adu yaramde.
By faith Moses, when he had become great, refused to be called son of Pharaoh's daughter;
25 Matam kharagidamak papki nungaiba adudagi Tengban Mapugi misingga awaba khangminnaba aduda mahakna khanjakhi,
choosing rather to suffer affliction along with the people of God than to have [the] temporary pleasure of sin;
26 Christtagi maramgidamak ikaiba nangbana Egypt-ki lanthumsingdagi henna mamal yamna henba lanni haina Moses-na singthanakhi, maramdi mahakna tungda phanggadaba mana aduda mityeng thamjakhi.
esteeming the reproach of the Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt, for he had respect to the recompense.
27 Thajabagi mapanna Moses-na ningthougi asaobabu kiba toudana Egypt thadokkhi. Uba ngamdaba Tengban Mapubu ubagumna mahakna amuk tung hankhide.
By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he persevered, as seeing him who is invisible.
28 Ahanba pokpasingbu mang-hanba mahak aduna Israel machasinggi ahanba pokpasingbu soktanaba Moses-na thajabagi mapanna Lanthokpibagi chakkhangba ngakkhi amasung ee khikchakhi.
By faith he celebrated the passover and the sprinkling of the blood, that the destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.
29 Thajabagi mapanna Israel-gi misingna akangba lamda chatpagumna Angangba ipak adu lanthokkhi, adubu Egypt-ki misingna lanthoknaba hotnabada makhoi iraknakhi.
By faith they passed through the Red sea as through dry land; of which the Egyptians having made trial were swallowed up.
30 Thajabagi mapanna Israel machasingna Jericho-gi chekpal adugi akoibada numit taretni koina chatlaba matungda chekpal adu tukhi.
By faith the walls of Jericho fell, having been encircled for seven days.
31 Thajabagi mapanna oktabi Rahab-na lanjabasing adu taram taramna okkhibagi maramna Tengban Mapuna haiba indaba makhoising hatkhiba aduda mahakti hatkhide.
By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish along with the unbelieving, having received the spies in peace.
32 Eina kari amuk henna haigani? Eina Gideon-gi, Barak-ki, Samson-gi, Jephthah-gi, David-ki, Samuel-gi amasung Tengban Mapugi wa phongdokpiba maichousinggi maramda hainaba matam leitre.
And what more do I say? For the time would fail me telling of Gideon, and Barak, and Samson, and Jephthah, and David and Samuel, and of the prophets:
33 Thajabagi mapanna makhoina lanthengnaduna leibaksingbu khudum chanduna lan-ngamkhi. Makhoina achumba toukhi amadi Tengban Mapuna wasakpikhiba adu phangjakhi. Makhoina nongsasinggi machin menkhi,
who by faith overcame kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped lions' mouths,
34 tamthiraba meiri mutthatkhi, thangsanggi mayadagi nanthokkhi. Makhoi asonba oirammi adubu akanba oirakkhi; lanphamda makhoi matik leiba oirammi amadi miramgi lanmisingbu maithiba pirammi.
quenched [the] power of fire, escaped [the] edge of the sword, became strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, made [the] armies of strangers give way.
35 Thajabagi mapanna nupisingna makhoigi asiba mari-mata amuk hanna hingna phangkhi. Ateisingna thadokpibada yadaduna henna phaba hinggatpa phangnaba ot-neiba khaangkhi.
Women received their dead again by resurrection; and others were tortured, not having accepted deliverance, that they might get a better resurrection;
36 Makhoi kharabuna noknabikhi amadi phubikhi, amasung ateisingna yotling phalang chanduna keisumsangda thamkhi.
and others underwent trial of mockings and scourgings, yea, and of bonds and imprisonment.
37 Makhoibu nungna thakhi, makhoigi hakchang tangkhai tana horaina lenkhi, thangsangna hatkhi. Makhoina hameng amasung yaogi mawun settuna koichat chatkhi, makhoi lairare, ot-neibire amasung thina toubire.
They were stoned, were sawn asunder, were tempted, died by the death of the sword; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, destitute, afflicted, evil treated,
38 Taibangpan asi makhoigidamak matik chadre! Makhoina leikanglasing, chingsing, surungsing amasung leikhunsingda koichat chatkhi.
(of whom the world was not worthy, ) wandering in deserts and mountains, and [in] dens and caverns of the earth.
39 Hairiba mi pumnamak asina thajabagi maramda aphaba sakhi leirabasu wasakkhiba adu makhoina phangkhide,
And these all, having obtained witness through faith, did not receive the promise,
40 maramdi Tengban Mapuna henna phaba thourang ama eikhoigidamak leppire. Ibungo mahakki thourang adudi eikhoi yaoraba khaktada makhoibu mapung phahanbigani.
God having foreseen some better thing for us, that they should not be made perfect without us.
