< 2 Peter 2 >

1 Houkhiba matamda misinggi marakta Tengban Mapugi wa takthoksinnaba maichousing leirambagumna nakhoigi naraktasu aranba tambiba ojasing leirakkani. Makhoina amangba amadi chumdaba tambibasing purakkani amasung makhoibu leibikhiba Mapu Ibungo phaoba yaroi, maram aduna makhoina makhoi masagi mathakta thunamak mang takpa purakkani.
But there were also false prophets among the people, as there will be teachers of falsehood among you also, who will cunningly introduce fatal divisions, disowning even the Sovereign Lord who has redeemed them, and bringing on themselves swift destruction.
2 Misingna makhoigi lamchat naidaba matou adugi tung in-gani; aduga makhoina touba aduna maram oiraga achumbagi Lambi asibu atoppasingna thina ngangnagani.
And in their immoral ways they will have many eager disciples, through whom religion will be brought into disrepute.
3 Aranba tambiba ojasing asina makhoigi karaambana nakhoida semjin sajinba warising liduna nakhoibu makhoigi oijanaba sijinnagani. Makhoibu aranbada tahan-gadaba wayen adu makhoigi mathakta kuina leiraklabani amasung makhoibu mangtak-hangadaba adu tumduna leithokpa natte.
Thirsting for riches, they will trade on you with their canting talk. From of old their judgement has been working itself out, and their destruction has not been slumbering.
4 Maramdi Tengban Mapuna pap touba swarga dutsingbu kanbidaduna norokta langthakhi, amasung mapham aduda wayennabagidamak amambada yot-hingna punduna thamle. (Tartaroō g5020)
For God did not spare angels when they had sinned, but hurling them down to Tartarus consigned them to caves of darkness, keeping them in readiness for judgement. (Tartaroō g5020)
5 Tengban Mapu ningdaba misinggi taibangpan aduda ising ichao thok-handuna mamangngeigi taibangpan adubu kanbikhide; achumba chatpagi wa sandokpa Noah amadi atei mi taret adukhaktabu kanbikhi.
And He did not spare the ancient world, although He preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a deluge on the world of the ungodly.
6 Tengban Mapuna Sodom amadi Gomorrah saharsingbu meina mangtak-handuna cheirak pikhi aduga Tengban Mapu ningdabasingda kari thokkani haibadu makhoibu pandam oihankhi.
He reduced to ashes the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and condemned them to overthrow, making them an example to people who might in future be living godless lives.
7 Wayel pathap leitraba amasung lamchat naidaba machat matouna wahallaba achumba chatpa mi ama oiriba Lot-pu Ibungona kanbikhi.
But when righteous Lot was sore distressed by the gross misconduct of immoral men He rescued him.
8 Achumba chatpa mi aduna makhoigi marakta leiduna makhoigi wayel pathap thousadabagi thabaksing adu numit khudinggi u-ba amasung tabana mahakki achumba chatpa thawai adubu wahankhi.
(For their lawless deeds were torture, day after day, to the pure soul of that righteous man--all that he saw and heard whilst living in their midst.)
9 Maram aduna Tengban Mapubu chetna ningba misingbu karamna kanbigadage haiba amasung phattabasingbu wayen-gi Numitta cheirak pinaba karamna thamgadage haiba adu Mapu Ibungona khang-i,
Since all this is so, the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from temptation, and on the other hand how to keep the unrighteous under punishment in readiness for the Day of Judgement,
10 hairiba asi hakchanggi amotpa apambasing adugi matung inna chatpa makhoida amasung Tengban Mapugi matikpu usittaba makhoising aduda thoidok hendokna oigani. Makhoi ichang thou-i amadi chaothokpa sajat chatli, swargada leibasinggi mathakta makhoina thina ngangbada makhoida akiba leite.
and especially those who are abandoned to sensuality--craving, as they do, for polluted things, and scorning control. Fool-hardy and self-willed, they do not tremble when speaking evil of glorious beings;
11 Adubu aranba tambiba ojasing adudagi yamna henna kanba amasung panggal leiba swarga dutsing phaobanasu Mapu Ibungogi mangda makhoising adubu thina ngangduna maral siba toude.
while angels, though greater than they in might and power, do not bring any insulting accusation against such in the presence of the Lord.
12 Adubu makhoising asidi mahousana yaojarakpa sajatna thabak touba, phaduna hatnaba poklaba lamlakki sasingga manei; khangdaba hiramsingda makhoina thina ngang-i. Lamlakki sasinggumna makhoi mangkhigani,
But these men, like brute beasts, created (with their natural instincts) only to be captured or destroyed, are abusive in matters of which they are ignorant, and in their corruption will perish,
13 amasung makhoina thok-hanba awaba adugidamak makhoida awaba han-gani. Makhoigidamaktadi nungaithokpa haibasi nungthil pobopta makhoigi hakchanggi apambasing adu phangnaba touningbata touba aduni; makhoina makhoigi lounamgi oiba thabaksing aduda nungaithokpaga loinana nakhoigi chaklen aduda makhoina yaoba adu ikainingai oiba amadi mingchat thibani!
being doomed to receive a requital for their guilt. They reckon it pleasure to feast daintily in broad daylight. They are spots and blemishes, while feeding luxuriously at their love-feasts, and banqueting with you.
14 Makhoigi mamit mitu miwa lanabana pik thalli, aduga makhoina pap touba leppa leite; pukchel leptaba misingbu themdok-i; makhoigi thammoida karaambagi maramda yamna hei single; makhoi sirap phanglaba misingni!
Their very eyes are full of adultery--being eyes which never cease from sin. These men set traps to catch unstedfast souls, their own hearts being well trained in greed. They are fore-doomed to God's curse!
15 Makhoina achumba lambi adubu thadoktuna makhoi lambi lammuknakhre; Makhoina aranba thabak touduna sendong tanba pamba Bezer-gi machanupa Balaam-gi lambida matung inkhre,
Forsaking the straight road, they have gone astray, having eagerly followed in the steps of Balaam, the son of Beor, who was bent on securing the wages of unrighteousness.
16 aduga mahakki ayol aran adugidamak lola amana mahakpu cheikhi, marol thoktaba lola aduna mioibagi khonjelda wa ngangduna maichou adugi angaoba matou adubu thingkhi.
But he was rebuked for his transgression: a dumb ass spoke with a human voice and checked the madness of the Prophet.
17 Mising asi ising leitaba iphut amasung nonglei nungsitna humdokkhraba leichin-gumbani; Tengban Mapuna makhoigidamak sukna mamlaba mapham ama khaktuna thamle. (questioned)
These people are wells without water, mists driven along by a storm, men for whom the dense darkness has been reserved.
18 Makhoina napal tou-i amadi apangba wa haidok-i amasung aranba punsi amada hingliba mising adudagi nanthokcharakpada ngairiba mising adubu makhoina hakchanggi lamchat naidaba apambasing sijinnaduna themdok-i.
For, while they pour out their frivolous and arrogant talk, they use earthly cravings--every kind of immorality--as a bait to entrap men who are just escaping from the influence of those who live in error.
19 Makhoi masamak mangtak-hanningai oiriba heinabising adugi minai oina oina, makhoina atoppa misingda maning tamhan-gani haina wasak-i; karigumba amana mi amabu khudum challabadi, mi adu madugi minaini.
And they promise them freedom, although they are themselves the slaves of what is corrupt. For a man is the slave of any one by whom he has been worsted in fight.
20 Eikhoigi Mapu Ibungo amadi Kanbiba Mapu Jisu Christta khangbagi mapanna makhoina taibangpangi amotpa adudagi nanthoklaga, makhoibu amuk hanna phajinduna khudum chankhrabadi, makhoigidamak akonbagi phibham aduna hannagi phibham adudagi henna phattaba oire.
For if, after escaping from the pollutions of the world through a full knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, people are once more entangled in these pollutions and are overcome, their last state has become worse than their first.
21 Maramdi makhoina achumba chatpagi lambi adu khanglaga makhoida piba asengba yathang adudagi makhoina leithokkhibagi mahutta achumba chatpagi lambi adu khanglamdabana makhoigidamak henna pharamgadabani.
For it would have been better for them not to have fully known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandments in which they were instructed.
22 Makhoida thokliba asina paorou asi achumbani haiba utle: “Huina masagi aobada amuk hanjilli” aduga “Irujathokpiraba okpina leikhomda amuk leiolli.”
Their case is that described in the true proverb, "A dog returns to what he has vomited," and also in the other proverb, "The sow has washed itself and now goes back to roll in its filth."
