1 Eikhoigi Kanbiba Mapu Tengban Mapu Ibungo amasung eikhoigi asa oiriba Christta Jisugi yangthang matung inna Christta Jisugi pakhonchatpa oiriba Paul eihakna--

Paul, an Apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God our Saviour and Christ Jesus our hope:

2 Thajabagi marida tasengba ichanupa oiriba Timothy-da chithi asi i-jari: Ipa Ibungo Tengban Mapu amasung eikhoigi Mapu Ibungo Christta Jisuna thoujal, chanbiba amasung ingthaba nangonda pibiba oirasanu.

To Timothy, my own true son in the faith. May grace, mercy and peace be granted to you from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

3 Eina Macedonia chatlamdaida eina nangonda kanna haikhibagumna, nahakna Ephesus-ta makha tana leithaba adu eihakna pammi maramdi mapham aduda mi kharana aranba tambiba kaya ama tambiri makhoising adu nahakna lepnanaba yathang pigadabani.

When I was on my journey to Macedonia I begged you to remain on in Ephesus that you might remonstrate with certain persons because of their erroneous teaching

4 Marei yetnaba khakta thok-hanba thainagi semjin sajinba warising amadi pari purigi sangkhraba mathang mathang chattharakliba parengsing aduda pukning luptanaba makhoida haiyu; madusing aduna thajabagi mapanna khangba Tengban Mapu mahakki thourang aduda kari amata mateng oide.

and the attention they bestow on mere fables and endless pedigrees, such as lead to controversy rather than to a true stewardship for God, which only exists where there is faith. And I make the same request now.

5 Yathang asigi pandamdi asengba thammoi, aphaba achum aran khangba pukning amasung tousinnaba yaodaba thajabadagi thorakpa nungsiba aduni.

But the end sought to be secured by exhortation is the love which springs from a pure heart, a clear conscience and a sincere faith.

6 Mi kharadi masising asidagi leithokkhraga, karisu kanadaba waremda onsin-khre.

From these some have drifted away, and have wandered into empty words.

7 Makhoina Tengban Mapugi wayel yathang tambiba oja amadi oining-i, adubu makhoi masana ngangliba wa adu karino haiba makhoina khangjade aduga makhoina yamna thajana ngangliba hiramsing adugi maramda khangjade.

They are ambitious to be teachers of the Law, although they do not understand either their own words or what the things are about which they make such confident assertions.

8 Wayel Yathang haibasi magi sijinnapham adu chumna sijinnarabadi madu aphabani haiba eikhoina khang-i.

Now we know that the Law is good, if a man uses it in the way it should be used,

9 Wayel yathang asi achumba chatpa misinggidamakta semba natte adubu wayel yathang indaba, irang houba mi, Tengban Mapu ningdaba, pap chenba, sengdaba amadi lainingchettaba, makhoigi mama mapabu hatpasing, mihatpasing

and remembers that a law is not enacted to control a righteous man, but for the lawless and rebellious, the irreligious and sinful, the godless and profane--for those who strike their fathers or their mothers, for murderers,

10 nupa nupigi oiba marida lamchat naidaba, nupa masel nupi masel haktinnaba, mi phaduna mibu minai oina lallonbasing, minamba ngangba amadi lanna sakhi pibasing, amasung tambiriba achumbasing adugi onna-teinaba touba makhoi pumnamaksing adugidamak sembani haiba eikhoina khang-i.

fornicators, sodomites, slave-dealers, liars and false witnesses; and for whatever else is opposed to wholesome teaching

11 Tambiriba achumbasing adu eibu sandoknaba sinnabiriba aphaba pao aduda yao-i, Aphaba Pao adudi yaipharaba matik mangalgi Tengban Mapudagi lakpani.

and is not in accordance with the Good News of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

12 Eibu panggal pibiriba eikhoigi Mapu Ibungo Christta Jisubu eina thagatchei, madudi Ibungo mahakki thougalgidamak mahakna eibu khandokpiduna eibu thajaba yaba oina singthabire.

I am thankful to Him who made me strong--even Christ Jesus our Lord--because He has judged me to be faithful and has put me into His service,

13 Houkhiba matam amada eihak Ibungobu thina ngangba, ot-neiba amasung Ibungobu ikaiba piba oiramlabasu madu eina toukhiba adu khangdabadagi amadi thajaba leitribagi oiba maramna eibu Tengban Mapuna chanbiba utpire.

though I was previously a blasphemer and a persecutor and had been insolent in outrage. Yet mercy was shown me, because I had acted ignorantly, not having as yet believed;

14 Eikhoigi Mapu Ibungogi thoujal adu eingonda marang kaina heithabire aduga Christta Jisuda leiba thajaba amasung nungsiba aduga loinana eingonda pibire.

and the grace of our Lord came to me in overflowing fulness, conferring faith on me and the love which is in Christ Jesus.

15 Christta Jisuna pap chenbasingbu kanbinaba taibangpan asida lengbirakpani haiba wapham asi thajaba yaba amadi mapung phana lousinbada matik chabani. Pap chenbasinggi marakta eihakna khwaidagi henna pap chenbani.

Faithful is the saying, and deserving of universal acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; among whom I stand foremost.

16 Adum oinamak maram asigidamak haibadi pap chenbasinggi marakta khwaidagi pap chenba eingonda Tengban Mapuna chanbiba adu utpire, madu Ibungo mahakpu tungda thajagababa amadi lomba naidaba punsi phanggadaba mi pumnamakta Christta Jisuna mahakki kuina khaangheiba adu pandam oina utpinanabani. But mercy was shown me in order that in me as the foremost of sinners Christ Jesus might display the fulness of His long-suffering patience as an example to encourage those who would afterwards be resting their faith on Him with a view to the Life of the Ages. (aiōnios g166)

17 Lomba naidaba Ningthou, siba naidraba, uba ngamdaba, amatta ngairaba Tengban Mapu Ibungo mangonda matam pumnamakta ikai khumnaba amasung matik mangal leiba oirasanu! Amen. (aiōn g165)

Now to the immortal and invisible King of the Ages, who alone is God, be honour and glory to the Ages of the Ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)

18 Eigi ichanupa Timothy, nahakki maramda Tengban Mapugi wa phongdokkhiba adugi matung inna yathang asi eina nangonda piri, madusing adu ningsingduna ningthijana lan soknou,

This is the charge which I entrust to you, my son Timothy, in accordance with the inspired instructions concerning you which were given me long ago, that being equipped with them as your armour you may be continually fighting the good fight,

19 thajaba amasung amakpa leitaba achum aran khangba pukning adu chetna paiyu. Mi kharanadi makhoigi achum aran khangba pukning adu thawoidabadagi, makhoigi thajaba adu pummang manghalle.

holding fast to faith and a clear conscience, which some have cast aside and have made shipwreck of their faith.

20 Makhoidugi marakta Hymenaeus amasung Alexander-su yao-i, makhoina Tengban Mapubu thina ngangba adu toknaba eina makhoibu Satan-gi makhutta sinnare.

Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered to Satan so that they may be taught not to blaspheme.
