1 Thessalonica 5
1 Adubu ichil inaosa, masising asi karamba matamda thokkadage haibadugi makum mathagi maramda nakhoida irubagi mathou tadre.
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 Maramdi Ibungogi numit adu huranbana ahingda lakpagum lakkani haiba nakhoi nasamakna ningthina khang-i.
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 Misingna “Pumnamak ingthare amadi khudong thiningai leitre” haina hairingei matamda khanghoudana makhoigi mathakta amang-ata lakkani. Mironbi nupina chaboklamdaida naoyekpagum madu khanghoudana lakkani amasung misingna madudagi nanthokpa ngamloi.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 Adubu Ichil inaosa, nakhoidi amambada leite aduga numit aduna huranbagumna lakpada nakhoida angakpa pokhalloi.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Nakhoi pumnamak mangalgi amadi nungthilgi machasingni. Eikhoidi ahinggisu amambagisu natte.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Maram aduna mi ateisinggumna eikhoi tumganusi; adubu mitsing nasingna amadi isabu laksinjaduna leisi.
Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 Maramdi tumlibasing aduna ahingda tumbani, aduga yu ngaobasing aduna ahingda ngaobani.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8 Adubu eikhoidi nungthilgi oiba maramna thajaba amasung nungsibana thabakhang oina haptuna amadi aran-khubhamgi asha aduna lan luhup oina uptuna isa khudum chanduna leisi.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 Maramdi eikhoibu Tengban Mapugi mei houna saoba adu khaangnanaba Tengban Mapuna khandokpa natte adubu eikhoigi Ibungo Jisu Christtagi mapanna aran-khubham phangjanaba eikhoibu khandokpibani.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Ibungo mahakna lakpa matamda eikhoina hingba oirabasu siba oirabasu eikhoina mahakka loinana leiminnanaba Ibungona eikhoigidamak sibire.
Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11 Maram aduna nakhoina houjik touriba adugumna amaga amaga pukning thougatnou amasung amaga amaga tengbangnou.
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
12 Ichil inaosa, nakhoigi narakta thougal touriba, christian-gi punsida nakhoibu chingbiriba amadi paotak pibiribasing adubu nakhoina matik chana ikai khumnanaba eikhoina nakhoida haijari.
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
13 Makhoina touriba thabakki maramna makhoibu khwaidagi wangna ikai-khumnabiba amadi nungsibibaga loinana loinabiyu. Amasung nakhoi amaga amaga ingthana leiminnou.
And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. [And] be at peace among yourselves.
14 Aduga ichil inaosa, eikhoina nakhoida insinjari, thabak suba tanbasingda cheksin wa haibiyu, akibasingbu thougatpiyu, asonbasingbu pangbiyu, mi pumnamakki maphamda kuina khaangbiyu.
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all [men].
15 Kana amatana phattabagidamak phattaba hanganu, adubu matam pumnamakta amana amagidamak amasung mi pumnamakkidamak aphaba tounanaba hotnou.
See that none render evil for evil unto any [man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all [men].
16 Matam pumnamakta haraojou,
Rejoice evermore.
17 Leppa leitana haijou,
Pray without ceasing.
18 Maram khudingmakta thagatchou, maramdi masimak Christta Jisuda hingliba nakhoigi punsida Tengban Mapugi aningbani.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Thawai Asengbabu thingganu.
Quench not the Spirit.
20 Tengban Mapuna phongdokpiraba wasing adubu usittaba touganu.
Despise not prophesyings.
21 Pumnamaksing adubu changyeng tou, aphaba adu chetna paiyu,
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Phattaba makhal pumnamaktagi lapthok-u.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 Eikhoida ingthaba pibiriba Tengban Mapuna nakhoibu hiram khudingmakta asengba oihanbisanu. Eikhoigi Ibungo Jisu Christtana lenglakpa matamda nakhoigi thawai, hingba, amasung hakchang apumba ayol aran leitana thambisanu.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Nakhoibu koubiba Ibungo mahakna masi toubigani, maramdi mahakti thajaba yabani.
Faithful [is] he that calleth you, who also will do [it.]
25 Ichil inaosa, eikhoigidamaktasu haijabiyu.
Brethren, pray for us.
26 Asengba chupchaba aduga loinana ichil inao pumnamakpu khurumjari.
Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.
27 Chithi asi ichil inao pumnamakta pabinaba eina Ibungogi matik adugi mapanna yathang piri.
I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.
28 Eikhoigi Ibungo Jisu Christtagi thoujalna nakhoiga loinabisanu.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen.
