1 Peter 3
1 Matou asumna, yum pallabi nupi oibisa, nakhoi nakhoigi napuroibasinggi makha pollu, adu oirabadi Tengban Mapugi waheibu thajadaba kanagumba mapuroiba leirabadi, wahei amata hairuba toudana nakhoigi nachat natouna makhoibu thajahanba ngamgani,
Likewise, ye wives, be submissive to your own husbands; in order that, if any do not believe the word, they shall be gained through the deportment of their wives, without the word;
2 maramdi nakhoina Tengban Mapubu kibaga loinana asengba lamchat chatpa adu makhoina ugani.
beholding your chaste deportment which is with reverence:
3 Nakhoigi leitengda mapanthonggi oiba haibadi sam lonba, nattraga sana lupa siba nattraga phijet leitengna oihan-ganu.
whose beauty, let it not be the external beauty of braiding the hairs, and wearing golds, or putting on of outer garments;
4 Madugi mahutta nakhoigi thammoi nunggi oiba phajaba, pukning tappa amasung pukning ingbagi mangba leitaba phajaba aduna leiteng-u, masi Tengban Mapugi mityengda yamna mamal yambani.
but let their beauty be the hidden man of the heart, in the purity of the meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is perfection complete.
5 Maramdi mamangngeida Tengban Mapuda makhoigi asa thamjabi asengbi nupisingnasu makhoigi mapuroibagi makha ponna leiduna makhoi masabu leitengjarammi.
For in this way in olden times the holy wives, the ones having hope toward God, were indeed accustomed to beautify themselves, submissive to their own husbands:
6 Sarah-su adugumba ama oirammi; mahakna Abraham-gi haiba induna mahakpu Ibungo haina koujarammi. Nakhoina aphaba touraba amadi karigumba amatabu kidrabadi, nakhoi mahakki machanupising oire.
as Sarah submitted to Abraham, calling him Lord: whose children you have become, doing good, and not fearing any calamity.
7 Mapuroibasa, matou asumna nakhoigi nupisingga wakhal taminnana panminnou, makhoidi henna sonba mapang ama oina amadi nahakka punna hingbagi Tengban Mapugi khudol phangminnagadaba ama oina makhoibu ikai khumnou, madu oirabadi karigumba amatana nakhoigi haijabada apanba oihalloi.
Likewise, ye husbands, dwelling with the wife according to knowledge, as the weaker vessel, extending to them honor, as indeed the equal heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers should not be hindered.
8 Aroiba oina, nakhoi pumnamak pukning amata oiyu, nungsibibagi wakhal thammu, amaga amaga nungsinou, minungsi leiyu amadi nolukpa oiyu.
And finally, all being like-minded, sympathetic, loving the brethren, merciful, humble:
9 Phattabagidamak phattaba han-ganu, ikaiba pibagidamak hanna ikaiba piganu. Madugi mahutta phattabagidamak bor oina hallu, maramdi nakhoina bor phangnabagidamak nakhoibu masigidamak koubire.
not giving evil for evil, or railing for railing: but on the contrary blessing; because unto this you have been called, that you may inherit the blessing.
10 Mapugi puyana asumna hai, “Punsibu nungsiba amasung aphaba numitpu uba pamba makhoi aduna, makhoina phattaba ngangba amasung oidaba ngangba tokkadabani.
For let the one wishing to love life, and to see good days, cease his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile:
11 Makhoina phattabadagi leithoklaktuna aphaba tougadabani; nakhoina ingthaba thiduna madu tanagadabani.
let him depart from evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it:
12 Maramdi MAPU IBUNGO-gi mit achumba chatpasinggi mathakta yengduna lei aduga makhoina haijaba adu tabi, adubu Mapu Ibungogi maithongdi phattaba toubasinggi maiyokta lei.”
because the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry: but the face of the Lord is against those doing evil.
13 Nakhoina aphaba tounabagidamak khouranglabadi, kanana nakhoida mangnaba tougadouribano?
Who is the one about to harm you, if you may be zealots of the good?
14 Adubu nakhoina aphaba toubagidamak awa khaanglabadi nakhoi yaiphabani. Kanabusu kiganu amasung pukning waganu.
But if indeed you suffer for righteousness' sake, you are happy. Fear not their fear, neither be troubled;
15 Adubu nakhoigi thamoi nungda Christtabu Mapu Ibungoni haina ikai khumnou. Nakhoida leiriba asa adugi maramda kanagumbana nakhoida hanglabadi, paokhum pinaba matam pumnamakta thourang touduna leiyu. Adubu pukning tappa amasung ikai khumnabaga loinana tou,
but sanctify the Lord Christ in your hearts: being always ready for an answer to every one asking you a reason for the hope which is in you, but with meekness and fear:
16 aphaba achum aran khangba pukning adu sengna thammu, adu oirabadi Christtada leiba nakhoigi aphaba nachat natou adubu phattana ngangliba makhoi aduna nakhoigi mangnaba ngangba adugidamak ikaijagani.
having a good conscience, in order that, in whatsoever you are calumniated, those traducing your good deportment in Christ may be ashamed.
17 Maramdi masi Tengban Mapugi aningba oirabadi, aphaba toubagi awaba khaangbana phattaba toubagi awaba khaangbadagi henna phei.
For it is better, doing good, if the will of the Lord should will it, to suffer, rather than doing evil.
18 Maramdi Christtana papkidamak amuktang sibikhre, achumba chatpa mahakna achumba chattabasinggi mahutta, madu nakhoibu Tengban Mapugi maphamda pubinabani. Mahak hakchangda hatkhibani adubu Thawaida hinghanbire,
Because Christ indeed once died for our sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, indeed being put to death in the flesh, but quickened in spirit:
19 Hinggat-hallaba matungda, mahakna keisumsangda leiba thawaisinggi manakta chattuna laothoklammi.
by which also having gone he proclaimed to the spirits in prison;
20 Makhoising adu mamangngeida Noah-gi haktakta hijao adu sagatlingeida Tengban Mapugi kuina khaangbiba aduna ngaibiramba matamda haiba inkhidaba thawaising aduni. Hi adugi manungda mi kharatabu, haibadi punna mi nipan isingdagi kanbikhi,
who at one time were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, the ark being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls were saved through the water.
21 ising asi houjik nakhoibusu kanbiba Baptize touba adugi pandamni. Madu hakchangdagi amotpa louthokpa natte adubu Tengban Mapugi maphamda asengba achum aran khangba pukningdagi pijaba wasakni. Jisu Christtana sibadagi hinggatkhibagi maram aduna nakhoibu kanbibani,
Which antitype baptism does even now save you, not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the seeking after a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
22 Ibungo mahakti swargada lengkhattuna Tengban Mapugi yetthangbada leiri, swargadutsing, angambasing amasung panggalabasingna mahakki makha ponduna lei.
who is on the right hand of God, having gone up into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being subordinated unto him.
