1 ൧ എസ്രാഹ്യനായ ഏഥാന്റെ ഒരു ധ്യാനം. യഹോവയുടെ കൃപകളെക്കുറിച്ച് ഞാൻ എന്നേക്കും പാടും; തലമുറതലമുറയോളം എന്റെ വായ്കൊണ്ട് അങ്ങയുടെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെ അറിയിക്കും.
An Instructive Psalm, by Ethan the Ezrahite. The lovingkindnesses of Yahweh, age-abidingly will I sing, To generation after generation, will I make known thy faithfulness with my mouth.
2 ൨ “ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉറച്ചുനില്ക്കും” എന്ന് ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെ അങ്ങ് സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ സ്ഥിരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
For I said, To times age-abiding, shall lovingkindness be built up, As for the heavens, thou wilt establish thy faithfulness therein.
I have solemnised a covenant, for my chosen one, I have sworn unto David my servant:
4 ൪ “നിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ ഞാൻ എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തും; നിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെ തലമുറതലമുറയോളം ഉറപ്പിക്കും”. (സേലാ)
Unto times age-abiding, will I establish thy seed, And will build up, unto generation after generation, thy throne. (Selah)
5 ൫ യഹോവേ, സ്വർഗ്ഗം അങ്ങയുടെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെയും വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സഭയിൽ അങ്ങയുടെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെയും വർണ്ണിക്കും.
So shall the heavens praise thy wondrousness, O Yahweh, —Yea, thy faithfulness, in the convocation of holy ones.
For whom, in the skies, can one compare unto Yahweh? [Or] can one liken unto Yahweh, among the sons of the mighty?
7 ൭ ദൈവം വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സംഘത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടവനും അവിടുത്തെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള എല്ലാവരും ഭയപ്പെടുവാൻ യോഗ്യനും ആകുന്നു.
A GOD inspiring awe in the circle of the holy ones, exceedingly, And to be reverenced above all who are round about him.
8 ൮ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയെ പോലെ ബലവാൻ ആരാണുള്ളത്? യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ വിശ്വസ്തത അങ്ങയെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
O Yahweh, God of hosts! Who, like thee, is mighty, O Yah! With thy faithfulness round about thee:
Thou, rulest over the swelling of the sea, When the rolling waves thereof lift themselves, Thou, dost bid them be still:
10 ൧൦ അങ്ങ് രഹബിനെ ഒരു ഹതനെപ്പോലെ തകർത്തു; അങ്ങയുടെ ബലമുള്ള ഭുജംകൊണ്ട് അങ്ങയുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ ചിതറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
Thou, hast crushed—as one slain—Rahab, With thy strong arm, hast thou scattered thy foes.
11 ൧൧ ആകാശം നിനക്കുള്ളത്, ഭൂമിയും അങ്ങേക്കുള്ളത്; ഭൂതലവും അതിന്റെ പൂർണ്ണതയും അങ്ങ് സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Thine, are the heavens, Yea, thine, the earth, The world and the fulness thereof, Thou, didst found them;
12 ൧൨ ദക്ഷിണോത്തരദിക്കുകളെ അങ്ങ് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; താബോരും ഹെർമ്മോനും അങ്ങയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു;
The north and the south, Thou, didst create them, —Tabor and Hermon, with thy Name, shall shout for joy:
Thine is an arm with might, Strong is thy hand, High is thy right hand;
14 ൧൪ നീതിയും ന്യായവും അങ്ങയുടെ സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാകുന്നു; ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും അങ്ങേക്കു മുമ്പായി നടക്കുന്നു.
Righteousness and justice, are the establishing of thy throne, Lovingkindness and faithfulness, go before thy face.
How happy are the people who know the joyful sound! O Yahweh! in the light of thy countenance, shall they firmly march along;
In thy Name, shall they exult all the day, And, in thy righteousness, shall they be exalted.
17 ൧൭ അങ്ങ് അവരുടെ ബലത്തിന്റെ മഹത്ത്വമാകുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ പ്രസാദത്താൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശക്തിഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
For, the beauty of their strength, thou art, And, in thine acceptance, shall our horns be exalted.
For, to Yahweh, belongeth our Shield, And, to the Holy One of Israel, belongeth our King.
19 ൧൯ അന്ന് അങ്ങ് ദർശനത്തിൽ അങ്ങയുടെ ഭക്തന്മാരോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്; “ഞാൻ വീരനായ ഒരുവന് സഹായം നല്കുകയും ജനത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഒരു വൃതനെ ഉയർത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
Then spakest thou in vision of thy men of lovingkindness, and saidst—I have laid help upon a mighty one, I have exalted one chosen from among the people;
I have found David my servant, With mine own holy oil, have I anointed him;
With whom my hand shall be firm, Yea, mine arm, shall strengthen him;
No foe shall make exactions on him, Nor shall, a son of perversity, humiliate him;
And I will shatter, from before him, his adversaries, And, them who hate him, will I smite;
24 ൨൪ എന്നാൽ എന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയും ദയയും അവനോടുകൂടി ഇരിക്കും; എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അവന്റെ കൊമ്പ് ഉയർന്നിരിക്കും.
And, my faithfulness and my lovingkindness, shall be with him, And, in my Name, exalted shall be his horn;
And I will set, in the sea, his hand, And, in the rivers, his right hand;
He, shall cry out unto me, My Father, thou art, My GOD, and my Rock of Salvation!
Yea, I, will appoint him, firstborn, Most High to the kings of the earth!
Age-abidingly, will I keep for him my lovingkindness, And, my covenant, hath been made steadfast for him;
Therefore will I appoint, to futurity, his seed, And his throne as the days of the heavens.
30 ൩൦ അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ എന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുകയും എന്റെ വിധികൾ അനുസരിച്ചുനടക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും
If his sons forsake my law, And, in my regulations, do not walk;
If, my statutes, they profane, And, my commandments, do not keep:
Then will I punish, with a rod, their transgression; And, with stripes, their iniquity:
33 ൩൩ എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദയ ഞാൻ അവനിൽ നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയുകയില്ല; എന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയ്ക്ക് ഭംഗം വരുത്തുകയുമില്ല.
But, my lovingkindness, will I not frustrate from them, Neither will I falsify my faithfulness;
34 ൩൪ ഞാൻ എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിക്കുകയോ എന്റെ അധരങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടതിന് മാറ്റം വരുത്തുകയോ ചെയ്യുകയില്ല.
I will not violate my covenant, And that which hath proceeded out of my lips, will I not alter:
One thing, have I sworn by my holiness, Verily, to David, will I not lie;
His seed, age-abidingly, shall remain, And, his throne, be like the sun before me;
37 ൩൭ അത് ചന്ദ്രനെപ്പോലെയും ആകാശത്തിലെ വിശ്വസ്തസാക്ഷിയെപ്പോലെയും എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും”. (സേലാ)
Like the moon, shall it be established unto times age-abiding, And, a witness, in the skies, hath been made sure. (Selah)
Yet, thou thyself, hast cast off, and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine Anointed One!
39 ൩൯ അങ്ങയുടെ ദാസനോടുള്ള നിയമത്തെ അങ്ങ് തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവന്റെ കിരീടത്തെ അങ്ങ് നിലത്തിട്ട് അശുദ്ധമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
Thou hast cast down the covenant of thy Servant, Thou hast profaned, to the earth, his crown;
Thou hast broken down all his defenses, Thou hast laid his fortresses in ruins;
41 ൪൧ വഴിപോകുന്ന എല്ലാവരും അവനെ കൊള്ളയിടുന്നു; തന്റെ അയല്ക്കാർക്ക് അവൻ നിന്ദ ആയിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
All the passers by the way, have plundered him, He hath become a reproach to his neighbours;
Thou hast raised the right hand of his adversaries, Thou hast gladdened all his enemies;
Yea thou hast turned the edge of his sword, Neither hast thou caused him to stand in the battle;
Thou hast brought to an end his splendour, And, his throne—to the ground, hast thou hurled;
Thou hast shortened the days of his youths, —Thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
How long, O Yahweh, Wilt thou hide thyself utterly? Shall thine indignation, burn like fire?
47 ൪൭ എന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് എത്രചുരുക്കം എന്ന് ഓർക്കണമേ; എന്ത് വ്യർത്ഥതയ്ക്കായി അങ്ങ് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു?
Remember how short-lived, I, am, Wherefore, in vain, hast thou created all the sons of Adam?
48 ൪൮ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന് മരണം കാണാതെയിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ആര്? തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പാതാളത്തിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്ന് വിടുവിക്കുന്നവനും ആരാണ്? (സേലാ) (Sheol h7585)
Who is the man that shall live, and not see death? That can deliver his soul from the hand of hades. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Where are thy former lovingkindnesses, O My Lord? Thou didst swear unto David, in thy faithfulness!
50 ൫൦ കർത്താവേ, അടിയങ്ങളുടെ നിന്ദ ഓർക്കണമേ; എന്റെ മാർവ്വിടത്തിൽ ഞാൻ സകല ജനതതിയുടെയും നിന്ദ വഹിക്കുന്നതു തന്നെ.
Remember, O My Lord, the reproach of thy servants, I have carried in my bosom the insult of the peoples:
51 ൫൧ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവർ അങ്ങയുടെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ കാലടികളെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു.
In that thy foes have reproached, O Yahweh, In that they have reproached the footsteps of thine Anointed One!
Blessed be Yahweh to times age-abiding, Amen, and Amen!
