സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 55
1 ൧ സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്ക്; തന്ത്രിനാദത്തോടെ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ധ്യാനം. ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണമേ; എന്റെ യാചനയ്ക്ക് മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കരുതേ.
God, listen to my prayer, and do not turn away from me while I am pleading with you.
2 ൨ എനിക്ക് ചെവിതന്ന് ഉത്തരമരുളണമേ; ശത്രുവിന്റെ കൂക്കുവിളി നിമിത്തവും ദുഷ്ടന്റെ പീഢ നിമിത്തവും ഞാൻ എന്റെ സങ്കടത്തിൽ പൊറുതിയില്ലാതെ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു.
Listen to me, and answer me, because I am overwhelmed by [all] my troubles.
My enemies cause me to be terrified; wicked people oppress me. They cause me to have great troubles; they are angry with me, and they hate me.
I am terrified, and I am very much afraid that I will die.
I am very fearful and I tremble/shake, and I am completely terrified.
6 ൬ “പ്രാവിനെപ്പോലെ എനിക്ക് ചിറകുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ! എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ പറന്നുപോയി വിശ്രമിക്കുമായിരുന്നു” എന്ന് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
I said, “I wish that I had wings like a dove! If I had wings, I would fly away and find a place to rest.
I would fly far away and live in the desert.
8 ൮ ഞാൻ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിൽനിന്നും പെരുങ്കാറ്റിൽനിന്നും ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ട് ഒരു സങ്കേതത്തിലേക്ക് ഓടിപ്പോകുമായിരുന്നു!
I would quickly find a shelter from [my enemies] [who are like] [MET] a strong wind and rainstorm.”
9 ൯ കർത്താവേ, അവരുടെ നാവുകളെ നശിപ്പിച്ച് വികലമാക്കണമേ. ഞാൻ നഗരത്തിൽ അതിക്രമവും കലഹവും കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
Lord, confuse my enemies, and cause their plans to fail, because I see them acting violently and causing strife in the city [of Jerusalem].
10 ൧൦ രാവും പകലും അവർ അതിന്റെ മതിലുകളിന്മേൽ ചുറ്റി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു; നീതികേടും കഷ്ടവും അതിന്റെ അകത്തുണ്ട്.
During [each] day and night they march around on top of its walls, committing crimes and causing trouble.
They destroy [things] everywhere. They oppress and defraud [people] in the (marketplaces/public squares).
12 ൧൨ എന്നെ നിന്ദിച്ചത് ഒരു ശത്രുവല്ല; അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ സഹിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പ് പറഞ്ഞത് എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നവനല്ല; അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ മറഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളുമായിരുന്നു.
If it were an enemy who was making fun of me, I could endure it. If it were someone who hates me, who despises me, I could hide from him.
But it is someone who is just like me, my companion, someone who was my friend [who is doing this to me].
We previously had many good talks together; we walked around together in God’s temple.
15 ൧൫ മരണം പെട്ടെന്ന് അവരെ പിടിക്കട്ടെ; അവർ ജീവനോടെ പാതാളത്തിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങട്ടെ; ദുഷ്ടത അവരുടെ വാസസ്ഥലത്തും അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിലും ഉണ്ട്. (Sheol h7585)
I desire/hope that my enemies will die suddenly; while they are still young, cause them to go down to the place where the dead people are. They they think evil things. (Sheol h7585)
But I [will] ask Yahweh, [my] God, to help me, and he will save me.
17 ൧൭ ഞാൻ വൈകുന്നേരത്തും കാലത്തും ഉച്ചയ്ക്കും സങ്കടം ബോധിപ്പിച്ച് കരയും; കർത്താവ് എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കും.
[Each] morning and [each] noontime and [each] evening I tell him what I am concerned about, and I moan, and he hears my voice.
18 ൧൮ എന്നോട് എതിർത്തു നിന്നവർ അനേകം പേരായിരുന്നു. അവർ ആരും എന്നോട് അടുക്കാത്തവിധം കർത്താവ് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്ത് സമാധാനത്തിലാക്കി;
I have [very] many enemies, but he will rescue me and bring me back safely from the battles that I fight.
19 ൧൯ കാലം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ് സിംഹാസനസ്ഥനായ ദൈവം എന്റെ നിലവിളികേട്ട് അവരെ തോല്പിക്കും. (സേലാ) അവർക്ക് മാനസാന്തരമില്ല; അവർ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.
God is the one who has ruled everything forever, and he will listen to me. He will cause my enemies to be [defeated and] disgraced, because they do not change their evil behavior and they do not revere God.
My companion, [whom I mentioned previously], betrayed his friends and broke the agreement that he made with them.
21 ൨൧ അവന്റെ വായ് വെണ്ണപോലെ മൃദുവായത്; ഹൃദയത്തിലോ യുദ്ധമത്രേ. അവന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ എണ്ണയെക്കാൾ മയമുള്ളവ; എങ്കിലും അവ ഊരിയ വാളുകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
What he said was [easy to listen to, like] butter [is easy to swallow] [MET], but in his inner being he hated people; his words were [soothing] like [olive] oil, [but they hurt people like] sharp swords do [MET].
22 ൨൨ നിന്റെ ഭാരം യഹോവയുടെമേൽ വച്ചുകൊള്ളുക; അവിടുന്ന് നിന്നെ പുലർത്തും; നീതിമാൻ കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകുവാൻ അവിടുന്ന് ഒരുനാളും സമ്മതിക്കുകയില്ല.
Put your troubles in Yahweh’s hands, and he will take care of you; he will never allow righteous [people] to experience disasters.
23 ൨൩ ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങ് അവരെ നാശത്തിന്റെ കുഴിയിലേക്ക് ഇറക്കും; കൊലപാതകവും കാപട്യവും ഉള്ളവർ ആയുസ്സിന്റെ പകുതിയോളം ജീവിക്കുകയില്ല; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കും.
God, you will cause murderers [MTY] and liars to die before they have lived half as long as they expect to live; but [as for me], I will trust in you.
