സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 51
1 ൧ സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്ക്; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ദാവീദ് ബത്ത്-ശേബയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നശേഷം നാഥാൻ പ്രവാചകൻ ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നപ്പോൾ വായ്മൊഴി രൂപം നൽകിയത്. ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങയുടെ ദയയ്ക്ക് തക്കവണ്ണം എന്നോട് കൃപയുണ്ടാകണമേ; അങ്ങയുടെ ബഹുവിധമായ കാരുണ്യപ്രകാരം എന്റെ ലംഘനങ്ങൾ മായിച്ചുകളയണമേ.
For the Leader. A Psalm of David; When Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba. Be gracious unto me, O God, according to Thy mercy; according to the multitude of Thy compassions blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me.
4 ൪ അങ്ങയോടു തന്നെ ഞാൻ പാപംചെയ്തു; അവിടുത്തേക്ക് അനിഷ്ടമായത് ഞാൻ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവിടുന്ന് നീതിമാനായും വിധിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിർമ്മലനായും ഇരിയ്ക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in Thy sight; that Thou mayest be justified when Thou speakest, and be in the right when Thou judgest.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts; make me, therefore, to know wisdom in mine inmost heart.
7 ൭ ഞാൻ നിർമ്മലനാകേണ്ടതിന് എന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെ കഴുകേണമേ എന്നെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കണമേ; ഞാൻ ഹിമത്തെക്കാൾ വെണ്മയാകേണ്ടതിന് എന്നെ കഴുകണമേ.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which Thou hast crushed may rejoice.
Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
Create me a clean heart, O God; and renew a stedfast spirit within me.
11 ൧൧ തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ തള്ളിക്കളയരുതേ അങ്ങയുടെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ എന്നിൽനിന്ന് എടുക്കുകയുമരുതേ.
Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy holy spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; and let a willing spirit uphold me.
Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways; and sinners shall return unto Thee.
14 ൧൪ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ ദൈവമേ! രക്തം ചിന്തിയ പാപത്തിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ മോചിപ്പിക്കണമേ; എന്നാൽ എന്റെ നാവ് അങ്ങയുടെ നീതിയെ ഘോഷിക്കും.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, Thou God of my salvation; so shall my tongue sing aloud of Thy righteousness.
O Lord, open Thou my lips; and my mouth shall declare Thy praise.
16 ൧൬ ഹനനയാഗം അവിടുന്ന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നില്ല; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ അർപ്പിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; ഹോമയാഗത്തിൽ അങ്ങേക്ക് പ്രസാദവുമില്ല.
For Thou delightest not in sacrifice, else would I give it; Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.
17 ൧൭ ദൈവത്തിന് പ്രസാദകരമയിരിക്കുന്ന ഹനനയാഗങ്ങൾ തകർന്നിരിക്കുന്ന മനസ്സല്ലയോ? തകർന്നും നുറുങ്ങിയുമിരിക്കുന്ന ഹൃദയത്തെ, ദൈവമേ, അവിടുന്ന് നിരസിക്കുകയില്ല.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.
Do good in Thy favour unto Zion; build Thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 ൧൯ അപ്പോൾ അവിടുന്ന് നീതിയാഗങ്ങളിലും ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളിലും സർവ്വാംഗഹോമങ്ങളിലും പ്രസാദിക്കും; അപ്പോൾ അവർ അങ്ങയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിൽ കാളകളെ അർപ്പിക്കും.
Then wilt Thou delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt-offering and whole offering; then will they offer bullocks upon Thine altar.
