സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 19
1 ൧ സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്ക്; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ആകാശം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം വർണ്ണിക്കുന്നു; ആകാശവിതാനം അവിടുത്തെ കൈവേല വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
[When people look at everything that] God [has placed in] the skies, they can see that he is very great; they can see the great things that he has created.
Day after day [it is as though the sun] proclaims [the glory of God], and night after night [it is as though the moon and stars] say that they know [that God made them].
They do not really speak; they do not say any words. There is no voice [from them] for anyone to hear.
4 ൪ ഭൂമിയിൽ എല്ലായിടവും അതിന്റെ അളവുനൂലും ഭൂതലത്തിന്റെ അറ്റത്തോളം അതിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളും ചെല്ലുന്നു; അവിടെ ദൈവം സൂര്യന് ഒരു കൂടാരം അടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
But what they declare [about God] goes throughout the world, and [even people who live in] the most distant/remote places on earth can know it. The sun is in the skies where God placed it [MET];
5 ൫ അത് മണവറയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുന്ന മണവാളന് തുല്യം; വീരനെപ്പോലെ അതിന്റെ ഓട്ടം ഓടുവാൻ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.
it rises each morning like a bridegroom [who is happy] as he comes out of his bedroom after his wedding. It is like a strong athlete who is very eager to start running in a race.
6 ൬ ആകാശത്തിന്റെ ഒരറ്റത്തുനിന്ന് അതിന്റെ ഉദയവും അറുതിവരെ അതിന്റെ അയനവും ആകുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ഉഷ്ണം ഏല്ക്കാതെ മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നത് ഒന്നുമില്ല.
The sun rises at one side of the sky and goes across [the sky and sets on] the other side, and nothing can hide from its heat.
7 ൭ യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം തികവുള്ളത്; അത് പ്രാണനെ തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നു. യഹോവയുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം വിശ്വാസ യോഗ്യമാകുന്നു; അത് അല്പബുദ്ധിയെ ജ്ഞാനിയാക്കുന്നു.
The instructions that Yahweh has given us are perfect; they (revive us/give us new strength). We can be sure that the things that Yahweh has told us will never change, and [by learning them] people who have not been previously taught/instructed will become wise.
8 ൮ യഹോവയുടെ ആജ്ഞകൾ നേരുള്ളവ; അവ ഹൃദയത്തെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ കല്പന നിർമ്മലമായത്; അത് കണ്ണുകളെ പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
Yahweh’s laws are fair/just; [when we obey them], we become joyful. The commands of Yahweh are clear, and [by reading them] [PRS] we start to understand [how God wants us to behave].
9 ൯ യഹോവാഭക്തി നിർമ്മലമായത്; അത് എന്നേക്കും നിലനില്ക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ വിധികൾ സത്യമാകുന്നു; അവ ഒന്നൊഴിയാതെ നീതിയുള്ളവയാകുന്നു.
It is good for people to revere Yahweh; that is something that they will do forever. What Yahweh has decided is fair, and it is always right.
10 ൧൦ അവ പൊന്നിനെക്കാളും വളരെ തങ്കത്തെക്കാളും ആഗ്രഹിക്കത്തക്കവ; തേനിനേക്കാളും തേങ്കട്ടയേക്കാളും മധുരമുള്ളവ.
The things that God has decided are more valuable than gold, even the finest/purest gold. They are sweeter than honey that drips from honeycombs.
Furthermore, [by reading them] I learn [what things are good to do and what things are evil], and they promise a great reward to [us who] obey them.
12 ൧൨ തന്റെ തെറ്റുകൾ ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവൻ ആര്? മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന തെറ്റുകൾ പോക്കി എന്നെ കുറ്റവിമുക്തനാക്കണമേ.
But there is no one who can know all his errors [RHQ]; so Yahweh, forgive me for these things which I do that I do not realize are wrong.
13 ൧൩ സ്വമേധാപാപങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് അടിയനെ കാക്കേണമേ; അവ എന്റെ മേൽ വാഴരുതേ; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിഷ്കളങ്കനും മഹാപാപത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഒഴിഞ്ഞവനും ആയിരിക്കും.
Keep me from doing things that I know are wrong; do not let my sinful desires control me. If you do that, I will no longer be guilty for committing such sins, and I will not commit the great sin [of rebelling terribly] against you.
14 ൧൪ എന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനുമായ യഹോവേ, എന്റെ വായിലെ വാക്കുകളും എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ധ്യാനവും അങ്ങയ്ക്കു പ്രസാദമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.
O Yahweh, you are [like] an [overhanging] rock [MET] under which I can be safe; you are the one who protects me. I hope/desire that the things that I say and what I think will [always] please you.
