സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 128

1 ൧ ആരോഹണഗീതം. യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ട്, അവിടുത്തെ വഴികളിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ഏവനും ഭാഗ്യവാൻ;

A Song of Ascents. How happy is every one that revereth Yahweh, who walketh in his ways!

2 ൨ നിന്റെ കൈകളുടെ അദ്ധ്വാനഫലം നീ തിന്നും; നീ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ; നിനക്ക് നന്മവരും.

The labour of thine own hands, surely thou shalt eat. How happy thou, and well for thine!

3 ൩ നിന്റെ ഭാര്യ നിന്റെ വീടിനകത്ത് ഫലപ്രദമായ മുന്തിരിവള്ളി പോലെയും നിന്റെ മക്കൾ നിന്റെ മേശയ്ക്കു ചുറ്റും ഒലിവുതൈകൾ പോലെയും ഇരിക്കും.

Thy wife, like a fruitful vine, within the recesses of thy house, —Thy children, like plantings of olive-trees, round about thy table.

4 ൪ യഹോവാഭക്തനായ പുരുഷൻ ഇങ്ങനെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനാകും.

Lo! thus, shall be blessed the man who revereth Yahweh.

5 ൫ യഹോവ സീയോനിൽനിന്ന് നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും; നിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലമെല്ലാം നീ യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ നന്മ കാണും.

Yahweh will bless thee, out of Zion, —and behold thou the welfare of Jerusalem, all the days of thy life!

6 ൬ നിന്റെ മക്കളുടെ മക്കളെയും നീ കാണും. യിസ്രായേലിന്മേൽ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

And behold thou thy children’s children, —Prosperity on Israel!
