1 ൧ ആരോഹണഗീതം. ഞാൻ എന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ പർവ്വതങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഉയർത്തുന്നു; എനിക്ക് സഹായം എവിടെനിന്ന് വരും?

A song of ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the mountains. O whence shall help for me come?

2 ൨ എന്റെ സഹായം ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ യഹോവയിൽനിന്നു വരുന്നു.

From the Lord comes help to me the creator of heaven and earth.

3 ൩ നിന്റെ കാൽ വഴുതിപ്പോകുവാൻ അവിടുന്ന് സമ്മതിക്കുകയില്ല; നിന്നെ കാക്കുന്നവൻ മയങ്ങുകയുമില്ല.

Your foot he will not let totter: he who guards you will not sleep.

4 ൪ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിപാലകൻ മയങ്ങുകയില്ല, ഉറങ്ങുകയുമില്ല.

The guardian of Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 ൫ യഹോവ നിന്റെ പരിപാലകൻ; യഹോവ നിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്ത് നിനക്ക് തണൽ.

The Lord is he who guards you your shelter upon your right hand.

6 ൬ പകൽ സൂര്യനോ രാത്രി ചന്ദ്രനോ നിന്നെ ദോഷമായി ബാധിക്കുകയില്ല.

The sun by day shall not strike you, nor the moon by night.

7 ൭ യഹോവ ഒരു ദോഷവും തട്ടാതെ നിന്നെ പരിപാലിക്കും. കർത്താവ് നിന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പരിപാലിക്കും.

From all evil the Lord will guard you, he will guard your life.

8 ൮ യഹോവ നിന്റെ ഗമനത്തെയും ആഗമനത്തെയും ഇന്നുമുതൽ എന്നേക്കും പരിപാലിക്കും.

The Lord will guard your going and coming from now and for evermore.
