സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 116

1 ൧ യഹോവ എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യാചനകളും കേട്ടതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അവിടുത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

I love Yahweh, because he hears me when I cry for him to help me.

2 ൨ കർത്താവ് തന്റെ ചെവി എങ്കലേക്ക് ചായിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ ജീവിതകാലമെല്ലാം ദൈവത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും

He listens to me, so I will call out to him all during my life.

3 ൩ മരണപാശങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചുറ്റി, പാതാള വേദനകൾ എന്നെ പിടിച്ചു; ഞാൻ കഷ്ടവും സങ്കടവും അനുഭവിച്ചു. (Sheol h7585)

Everything around me [MET] caused me to think that I would die; I was very afraid that I would [die and go to] the place where dead people are. I was very distressed/worried and afraid. (Sheol h7585)

4 ൪ “അയ്യോ, യഹോവേ, എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ” എന്ന് ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

[But] then I called out to Yahweh, saying, “Yahweh, I plead with you to save/rescue me!”

5 ൫ യഹോവ കൃപയും നീതിയും ഉള്ളവൻ; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം കരുണയുള്ളവൻ തന്നെ.

Yahweh is kind and does what is right; he is our God, and he acts mercifully [to us].

6 ൬ യഹോവ അല്പബുദ്ധികളെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; കർത്താവ് എന്നെ എളിയവനാക്കി, എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

He protects those who (are helpless/cannot defend themselves); and when I thought that I would die, he saved me.

7 ൭ എൻ മനമേ, നീ വീണ്ടും സ്വസ്ഥമായിരിക്കുക; എന്തെന്നാൽ യഹോവ എനിക്ക് നന്മ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

I must encourage/tell myself to (have inner peace/not worry any more), because Yahweh has done very good things for me.

8 ൮ അങ്ങ് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നും എന്റെ കണ്ണിനെ കണ്ണുനീരിൽനിന്നും എന്റെ കാലിനെ വീഴ്ചയിൽനിന്നും രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Yahweh has saved me [SYN] from dying, and has kept/protected me from [troubles that would cause me to] cry. He has kept/protected me from stumbling.

9 ൯ ഞാൻ ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്ത് യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കും.

[So here] on the earth, where people are still alive, I live knowing that Yahweh is [directing] me.

10 ൧൦ “ഞാൻ വലിയ കഷ്ടതയിൽ ആയി” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത് ഞാൻ അത് വിശ്വസിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടാണ്.

I continued to believe/trust [in Yahweh], even when I said, “I am greatly afflicted/troubled.”

11 ൧൧ “സകലമനുഷ്യരും ഭോഷ്ക്കു പറയുന്നു” എന്ന് ഞാൻ എന്റെ പരിഭ്രമത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

[Even] when I was distressed/worried and said, “I cannot trust anyone,” [I continued to trust in Yahweh].

12 ൧൨ യഹോവ എനിക്ക് ചെയ്ത സകല ഉപകാരങ്ങൾക്കും ഞാൻ കർത്താവിന് എന്ത് പകരം കൊടുക്കും?

So now [I will tell you] [RHQ] what I will offer to Yahweh, because of all the good things that he has done for me.

13 ൧൩ ഞാൻ രക്ഷയുടെ പാനപാത്രം എടുത്ത് യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും.

I will offer to him a cup [of wine] to thank him for saving/rescuing me.

14 ൧൪ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഞാൻ എന്റെ നേർച്ചകൾ കർത്താവിന്റെ സകലജനവും കാൺകെ കഴിക്കും.

When I am together with many [HYP] people who belong to Yahweh, I will give to him the offerings that I solemnly promised to give to him.

15 ൧൫ തന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാരുടെ മരണം യഹോവയ്ക്കു വിലയേറിയതാകുന്നു.

Yahweh is very grieved/sad when one of his people dies.

16 ൧൬ യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ ദാസൻ ആകുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ ദാസനും അങ്ങയുടെ ദാസിയുടെ മകനും തന്നെ; അങ്ങ് എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങൾ അഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

I am one of those who serve Yahweh; I serve him like my mother did. He has freed/saved me from dying (OR, from being fastened by chains).

17 ൧൭ ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്ക് സ്തോത്രയാഗം അർപ്പിച്ച് യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും.

[So] I will offer to him a sacrifice to thank him, and I will pray to him.

18 ൧൮ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളിലും യെരൂശലേമേ, നിന്റെ നടുവിലും

When I am together with many of [HYP] the people who belong to Yahweh, [in the courtyard] outside his temple in Jerusalem, I will give to him the offerings that I solemnly promised to give to him. Praise Yahweh!

19 ൧൯ ഞാൻ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് എന്റെ നേർച്ചകൾ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സകലജനവും കാൺകെ കഴിക്കും. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിക്കുവിൻ.
