സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 109

1 ൧ സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്ക്; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. എന്റെ പുകഴ്ചയായ ദൈവമേ, മൗനമായിരിക്കരുതേ.

“To the chief musician, by David, a psalm.” O God of my praise, do not keep silence.

2 ൨ ദുഷ്ടന്റെ വായും വഞ്ചകന്റെ വായും എന്റെ നേരെ തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷ്കുള്ള നാവുകൊണ്ട് അവർ എന്നോട് സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit are opened against me: they have spoken with me with the tongue of falsehood.

3 ൩ അവർ വിദ്വേഷവാക്കുകൾകൊണ്ട് എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞ് കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്നോട് പോരാടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Also with words of hatred have they encompassed me, and they fight against me without a cause.

4 ൪ എന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തിന് പകരം അവർ എന്നെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

In recompense for my love are they my accusers, while I have nothing but prayer.

5 ൫ നന്മയ്ക്കു പകരം തിന്മയും സ്നേഹത്തിന് പകരം ദ്വേഷവും അവർ എന്നോട് കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

And they impose evil on me in recompense for good, and hatred in lieu of my love.

6 ൬ അങ്ങ് അവന്റെമേൽ ഒരു ദുഷ്ടനെ നിയമിക്കണമേ; സാത്താൻ അവന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു നില്‍ക്കട്ടെ.

Appoint thou a wicked man over him: and let an accuser stand at his right hand.

7 ൭ അവനെ വിസ്തരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ കുറ്റക്കാരനെന്നു തെളിയട്ടെ; അവന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന പാപമായിത്തീരട്ടെ.

When he is to be judged, let him go forth guilty, and let his prayer become sin.

8 ൮ അവന്റെ നാളുകൾ ചുരുങ്ങിപ്പോകട്ടെ; അവന്റെ സ്ഥാനം മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ ഏല്ക്കട്ടെ.

Let his days be few, and let another take his office.

9 ൯ അവന്റെ മക്കൾ അനാഥരും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ വിധവയും ആയിത്തീരട്ടെ.

Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

10 ൧൦ അവന്റെ മക്കൾ അലഞ്ഞ് തെണ്ടിനടക്കട്ടെ; അവരുടെ ശൂന്യഭവനങ്ങൾ വിട്ട് ഇരന്നു നടക്കട്ടെ;

Let his children be continually moving about, and beg, and let them seek [their bread] out of their ruined places.

11 ൧൧ കടക്കാരൻ അവനുള്ളതൊക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുപോകട്ടെ; അപരിചിതർ അവന്റെ പ്രയത്നഫലം കൊള്ളയിടട്ടെ.

Let the creditor lay snares after all that he hath, and let strangers plunder his labor.

12 ൧൨ അവനോട് ദയ കാണിക്കുവാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടാകരുതേ; അനാഥരായ അവന്റെ മക്കളോട് ആർക്കും കരുണ തോന്നരുതേ.

Let him have none that extendeth kindness, and let there be none that is gracious to his fatherless children.

13 ൧൩ അവന്റെ സന്തതി മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ; അടുത്ത തലമുറയിൽ തന്നേ അവരുടെ പേര് മാഞ്ഞു പോകട്ടെ;

Let his posterity be cut off: in another generation let their name be blotted out.

14 ൧൪ അവന്റെ പൂര്‍വ്വ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യം യഹോവ ഓർക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; അവന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ പാപം മാഞ്ഞുപോകയുമരുതേ.

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the Lord, and let the sin of his mother not be blotted out.

15 ൧൫ അവ എല്ലായ്പോഴും യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; അവരുടെ ഓർമ്മ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണ്ടതിനു തന്നേ.

Let them be before the Lord continually, that he may cut off from the earth their memory.

16 ൧൬ അവൻ ദയ കാണിക്കുവാൻ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; എളിയവനെയും ദരിദ്രനെയും മനംതകർന്നവനെയും മരണപര്യന്തം ഉപദ്രവിച്ചു.

For the reason that he remembered not to show kindness; but persecuted the poor and needy man, and the grieved in heart to put him to death.

17 ൧൭ ശാപം അവന് പ്രിയമായിരുന്നു; അത് അവന് ഭവിക്കട്ടെ; അനുഗ്രഹം അവന് അപ്രിയമായിരുന്നു; അത് അവനെ വിട്ടകന്നുപോകട്ടെ.

As he loved cursing, so let it come over him: and as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

18 ൧൮ അവൻ വസ്ത്രംപോലെ ശാപം ധരിച്ചു; അവ വെള്ളംപോലെ അവന്റെ ഉള്ളിലും എണ്ണപോലെ അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിലും പ്രവേശിക്കട്ടെ.

And he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment, and it cometh like water within him, and like oil into his bones.

19 ൧൯ ശാപം അവന് പുതയ്ക്കുന്ന വസ്ത്രംപോലെയും നിത്യം അരയ്ക്ക് കെട്ടുന്ന കച്ചപോലെയും ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ.

Let it be unto him as a garment in which he wrappeth himself, and for a girdle let him be continually girded with it.

20 ൨൦ ഇത് എന്നെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുന്നവർക്കും എനിക്ക് വിരോധമായി ദോഷം പറയുന്നവർക്കും യഹോവ കൊടുക്കുന്ന പ്രതിഫലം ആകട്ടെ.

Let this be the reward of my accusers from the Lord, and of those that speak evil against my soul.

21 ൨൧ കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ നാമംനിമിത്തം എന്നോട് ചെയ്യണമേ; അങ്ങയുടെ ദയ നല്ലതാകയാൽ എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കണമേ.

But thou, O Eternal Lord, deal with me for the sake of thy name: because thy kindness is good, deliver thou me.

22 ൨൨ ഞാൻ അരിഷ്ടനും ദരിദ്രനും ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന് മുറിവേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു.

For poor and needy am I, and my heart is deeply wounded within me.

23 ൨൩ ചാഞ്ഞുപോകുന്ന നിഴൽപോലെ ഞാൻ കടന്നുപോകുന്നു; വെട്ടുക്കിളിയെപ്പോലെ എന്നെ കുടഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നു.

Like the shadow when it declineth do I hasten away: I am driven suddenly off like the locusts.

24 ൨൪ എന്റെ മുഴങ്കാലുകൾ ഉപവാസംകൊണ്ടു വിറയ്ക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ദേഹം പുഷ്ടിയില്ലാതെ ക്ഷയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

My knees stumble through fasting, and my flesh faileth of fatness.

25 ൨൫ ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് പരിഹാസപാത്രമായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നെ കാണുമ്പോൾ അവർ തല കുലുക്കുന്നു.

And I am become a reproach unto them: when they see me, they shake their head.

26 ൨൬ എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിക്കണമേ; അങ്ങയുടെ ദയയ്ക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ.

Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy kindness:

27 ൨൭ യഹോവേ, ഇതു അങ്ങയുടെ കൈ എന്നും അങ്ങ് ഇതു ചെയ്തു എന്നും അവർ അറിയേണ്ടതിന് തന്നെ.

That they may know that this is thy hand: that thou, Lord, hast truly done it.

28 ൨൮ അവർ ശപിക്കട്ടെ; അവിടുന്ന് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കണമേ; അവർ എതിർക്കുമ്പോൾ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ; അങ്ങയുടെ ദാസനായ അടിയനോ സന്തോഷിക്കും;

Let them then curse, but do thou bless: when they arise, let them be made ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

29 ൨൯ എന്റെ എതിരാളികൾ നിന്ദ ധരിക്കട്ടെ; പുതപ്പ് പുതയ്ക്കുന്നതു പോലെ അവർ ലജ്ജ പുതയ്ക്കും.

Let my accusers be clothed with confusion, and let them wrap themselves, as with a mantle, in their own shame.

30 ൩൦ ഞാൻ എന്റെ വായ്കൊണ്ട് യഹോവയെ അത്യന്തം സ്തുതിക്കും; അതെ, ഞാൻ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ദൈവത്തെ പുകഴ്ത്തും.

I will thank the Lord greatly with my mouth, and in the midst of many will I praise him.

31 ൩൧ ശിക്ഷയ്ക്കു വിധിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് എളിയവരെ രക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ ദൈവം ബലഹീനന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു നില്ക്കുന്നു.

For he ever standeth at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those that judge his soul.
