സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 106

1 ൧ യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിക്കുവിൻ; യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുവിൻ; ദൈവം നല്ലവനല്ലയോ; അവിടുത്തെ ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉള്ളത്.

Hallelujah! Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.

2 ൨ യഹോവയുടെ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളെ ആര് വർണ്ണിക്കും? അവിടുത്തെ സ്തുതിയെപ്പറ്റി എല്ലാം ആര് വിവരിക്കും?

Who can describe the mighty acts of the LORD or fully proclaim His praise?

3 ൩ ന്യായം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവരും എല്ലായ്പോഴും നീതി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരും ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

Blessed are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.

4 ൪ യഹോവേ, അവിടുന്ന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തവരുടെ നന്മ ഞാൻ കാണേണ്ടതിനും അങ്ങയുടെ ജനത്തിന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കേണ്ടതിനും അങ്ങയുടെ അവകാശത്തോടുകൂടി പുകഴേണ്ടതിനും

Remember me, O LORD, in Your favor to Your people; visit me with Your salvation,

5 ൫ അങ്ങയുടെ ജനത്തോടുള്ള കടാക്ഷപ്രകാരം എന്നെ ഓർത്ത്, അങ്ങയുടെ രക്ഷകൊണ്ട് എന്നെ സന്ദർശിക്കണമേ.

that I may see the prosperity of Your chosen ones, and rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, and give glory with Your inheritance.

6 ൬ ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍വ്വ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ പാപംചെയ്തു; ഞങ്ങൾ അകൃത്യവും ദുഷ്ടതയും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.

We have sinned like our fathers; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.

7 ൭ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍വ്വ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽവെച്ച് അങ്ങയുടെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും അങ്ങയുടെ മഹാദയയെ ഓർമ്മിക്കാതെയും കടല്ക്കരയിൽ, ചെങ്കടല്ക്കരയിൽവച്ചു തന്നെ, മത്സരിച്ചു.

Our fathers in Egypt did not grasp Your wonders or remember Your abundant kindness; but they rebelled by the sea, there at the Red Sea.

8 ൮ എന്നിട്ടും ദൈവം തന്റെ മഹാശക്തി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന് തന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

Yet He saved them for the sake of His name, to make His power known.

9 ൯ ദൈവം ചെങ്കടലിനെ ശാസിച്ചു, അത് ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയി; കർത്താവ് അവരെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽക്കൂടി എന്നപോലെ ആഴിയിൽക്കൂടി നടത്തി.

He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; He led them through the depths as through a desert.

10 ൧൦ പകയ്ക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് അവിടുന്ന് അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു; ശത്രുവിന്റെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് അവരെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു.

He saved them from the hand that hated them; He redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11 ൧൧ വെള്ളം അവരുടെ വൈരികളെ മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.

The waters covered their foes; not one of them remained.

12 ൧൨ അപ്പോൾ അവർ അവിടുത്തെ വചനങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; ദൈവത്തിന് സ്തുതിപാടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Then they believed His promises and sang His praise.

13 ൧൩ എങ്കിലും അവർ വേഗത്തിൽ കർത്താവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ മറന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലോചനയ്ക്കായി കാത്തിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

Yet they soon forgot His works and failed to wait for His counsel.

14 ൧൪ മരുഭൂമിയിൽവച്ച് അവർ ഏറ്റവും മോഹിച്ചു; നിർജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്ത് അവർ ദൈവത്തെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു.

They craved intensely in the wilderness and tested God in the desert.

15 ൧൫ അവർ അപേക്ഷിച്ചത് ദൈവം അവർക്ക് കൊടുത്തു; എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ പ്രാണന് ക്ഷയം അയച്ചു.

So He granted their request, but sent a wasting disease upon them.

16 ൧൬ പാളയത്തിൽവച്ച് അവർ മോശെയോടും യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധനായ അഹരോനോടും അസൂയപ്പെട്ടു.

In the camp they envied Moses, as well as Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.

17 ൧൭ ഭൂമി പിളർന്ന് ദാഥാനെ വിഴുങ്ങി; അബീരാമിന്റെ കൂട്ടത്തെയും മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it covered the assembly of Abiram.

18 ൧൮ അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ തീ കത്തി; അഗ്നിജ്വാല ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

Then fire blazed through their company; flames consumed the wicked.

19 ൧൯ അവർ ഹോരേബിൽവച്ച് ഒരു കാളക്കുട്ടിയെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; വാർത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹത്തെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped a molten image.

20 ൨൦ ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ അവരുടെ മഹത്വമായവനെ പുല്ല് തിന്നുന്ന കാളയോട് സദൃശനാക്കി മാറ്റി.

They exchanged their Glory for the image of a grass-eating ox.

21 ൨൧ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ വലിയ കാര്യങ്ങളും ഹാമിന്റെ ദേശത്ത് അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളും

They forgot God their Savior, who did great things in Egypt,

22 ൨൨ ചെങ്കടലിൽ ഭയങ്കരകാര്യങ്ങളും ചെയ്തവനായ അവരുടെ രക്ഷിതാവായ ദൈവത്തെ അവർ മറന്നു.

wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.

23 ൨൩ ആകയാൽ അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു; അവിടുത്തെ വൃതനായ മോശെ കോപത്തെ ശമിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ അവിടുത്തെ സന്നിധിയിൽ പിളർപ്പിൽ നിന്നില്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ദൈവം അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയുമായിരുന്നു.

So He said He would destroy them— had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach to divert His wrath from destroying them.

24 ൨൪ അവർ മനോഹരദേശത്തെ നിരസിച്ചു; അവിടുത്തെ വചനം വിശ്വസിച്ചതുമില്ല.

They despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His promise.

25 ൨൫ അവർ അവരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽവച്ച് പിറുപിറുത്തു; യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്കാതെയിരുന്നു.

They grumbled in their tents and did not listen to the voice of the LORD.

26 ൨൬ അതുകൊണ്ട് ദൈവം അവരെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വീഴിക്കുമെന്നും അവരുടെ സന്തതിയെ ജനതകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നും

So He raised His hand and swore to cast them down in the wilderness,

27 ൨൭ അവരെ ദേശങ്ങളിൽ ചിതറിച്ചുകളയുമെന്നും അവർക്ക് വിരോധമായി തന്റെ കൈ ഉയർത്തി സത്യംചെയ്തു.

to disperse their offspring among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands.

28 ൨൮ അനന്തരം അവർ ബാൽ-പെയോരിനോട് ചേർന്നു; മരിച്ചവർക്കുള്ള ബലികൾ തിന്നു.

They yoked themselves to Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods.

29 ൨൯ ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ അവരുടെ ക്രിയകളാൽ കർത്താവിനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; പെട്ടെന്ന് അവർക്ക് ഒരു ബാധ തട്ടി.

So they provoked the LORD to anger with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.

30 ൩൦ അപ്പോൾ ഫീനെഹാസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ശിക്ഷ നടത്തി; ബാധ നിന്നുപോകുകയും ചെയ്തു.

But Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was restrained.

31 ൩൧ അത് തലമുറതലമുറയായി എന്നേക്കും അവന് നീതിയായി എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

It was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.

32 ൩൨ മെരീബാവെള്ളത്തിങ്കലും അവർ ദൈവത്തെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെ നിമിത്തം മോശെക്കും ദോഷം ഭവിച്ചു.

At the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them.

33 ൩൩ അവർ അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ അധരങ്ങളാൽ അവിവേകം സംസാരിച്ചുപോയി.

For they rebelled against His Spirit, and Moses spoke rashly with his lips.

34 ൩൪ യഹോവ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവർ ജനതകളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചില്ല.

They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,

35 ൩൫ അവർ ദൈവമില്ലാത്തവരോട് ഇടകലർന്ന് അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ പഠിച്ചു.

but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.

36 ൩൬ അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ സേവിച്ചു; അവ അവർക്കൊരു കെണിയായിത്തീർന്നു.

They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.

37 ൩൭ തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും അവർ ഭൂതങ്ങൾക്ക് ബലികഴിച്ചു.

They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.

38 ൩൮ അവർ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം, പുത്രീപുത്രന്മാരുടെ രക്തം തന്നെ, ചൊരിഞ്ഞു; അവരെ അവർ കനാന്യവിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്ക് ബലികഴിച്ചു, ദേശം രക്തപാതകംകൊണ്ട് അശുദ്ധമായിത്തീർന്നു.

They shed innocent blood— the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.

39 ൩൯ ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ അവരുടെ ക്രിയകളാൽ മലിനപ്പെട്ടു, അവരുടെ കർമ്മങ്ങളാൽ പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു.

They defiled themselves by their actions and prostituted themselves by their deeds.

40 ൪൦ അതുകൊണ്ട് യഹോവയുടെ കോപം തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു; ദൈവം തന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ വെറുത്തു.

So the anger of the LORD burned against His people, and He abhorred His own inheritance.

41 ൪൧ കർത്താവ് അവരെ ജനതകളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവരെ വെറുത്തവർ അവരെ ഭരിച്ചു.

He delivered them into the hand of the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.

42 ൪൨ അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ അവരെ ഞെരുക്കി; അവർ അവർക്ക് കീഴടങ്ങേണ്ടിവന്നു.

Their enemies oppressed them, and subdued them under their hand.

43 ൪൩ പലപ്പോഴും കർത്താവ് അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അവർ അവരുടെ ആലോചനയാൽ കർത്താവിനെ പ്രകോപിപ്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെ അകൃത്യം നിമിത്തം അധോഗതി പ്രാപിച്ചു.

Many times He rescued them, but they were bent on rebellion and sank down in their iniquity.

44 ൪൪ എന്നാൽ അവരുടെ നിലവിളികേട്ടപ്പോൾ കർത്താവ് അവരുടെ കഷ്ടത കടാക്ഷിച്ചു.

Nevertheless He heard their cry; He took note of their distress.

45 ൪൫ ദൈവം അവർക്കുവേണ്ടി തന്റെ നിയമം ഓർത്തു; തന്റെ മഹാദയയാൽ മനസ്സുമാറ്റി.

And He remembered His covenant with them, and relented by the abundance of His loving devotion.

46 ൪൬ അവരെ ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയവർക്കെല്ലാം അവരോട് കനിവ് തോന്നുമാറാക്കി.

He made them objects of compassion to all who held them captive.

47 ൪൭ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ; അവിടുത്തെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിന് സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുവാനും അവിടുത്തെ സ്തുതിയിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കുവാനും ജനതകളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്ന് ഞങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിക്കണമേ.

Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.

48 ൪൮ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; ജനമെല്ലാം ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയട്ടെ. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിക്കുവിൻ.

Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, “Amen!” Hallelujah!
