And it came to pass, when Jesus finished these discourses, He said to His disciples,
2 ൨ രണ്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ട് പെസഹ വരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; അന്ന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ ക്രൂശിക്കുവാൻ ഏല്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
You know that after two days is the passover, and the Son of man is delivered to be crucified.
3 ൩ അന്ന് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരും മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ കയ്യഫാവിന്റെ മണ്ഡപത്തിൽ വന്നുകൂടി,
Then the chief priests, and scribes, and elders of the people, were assembled in the hall of the high priest, called Caiaphas.
And they immediately passed the verdict that they would take Jesus by stratagem, and kill Him.
But they said, Not at the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.
And Jesus being in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
7 ൭ ഒരു സ്ത്രീ വിലയേറിയ പരിമളതൈലം നിറഞ്ഞ, വെൺകല്ലിൽ തീർത്ത ഭരണിയുമായി യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു, പരിമളതൈലം അവന്റെ തലയിൽ ഒഴിച്ചു.
a woman having an alabaster box of myrrh, very valuable, came to Him and poured it on His head, while sitting at the table.
And His disciples, seeing, were indignant, saying, For what was this waste?
For this was able to be sold for much, and given to the poor.
10 ൧൦ യേശു അത് അറിഞ്ഞ് അവരോട്: സ്ത്രീയെ അസഹ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത് എന്ത്? അവൾ എങ്കൽ മനോഹരമായ പ്രവർത്തിയല്ലോ ചെയ്തതു.
And Jesus knowing, said to them, Why do you give the woman trouble? because she hath wrought a beautiful work in me.
For you have the poor with you always; but you have not me always.
For she pouring this myrrh on my body, did it in order to my burial.
13 ൧൩ ലോകത്തിൽ എങ്ങും, ഈ സുവിശേഷം പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നിടത്തെല്ലാം, അവൾ ചെയ്തതും അവളുടെ ഓർമ്മയ്ക്കായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ട് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Truly I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel may be preached in all the world, that which she did shall indeed be spoken of for a memorial of her.
Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, going to the chief priests,
15 ൧൫ ഞാൻ യേശുവിനെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏൽപ്പിച്ചു തന്നാൽ, നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്ക് എന്ത് തരുവാൻ മനസ്സുണ്ട് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു? അവർ യൂദാ ഈസ്കര്യോത്താവിന് മുപ്പത് വെള്ളിക്കാശ് തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.
said, What do you wish to give me, and I will deliver Him to you? And they offered him thirty pieces of silver.
And from that time he was seeking opportunity that he might betray Him.
17 ൧൭ പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം നാളിൽ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: നീ പെസഹ കഴിക്കുവാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കേണ്ടത് എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
On the first day of the unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him; Where do you wish that we may prepare for you to eat the passover?
18 ൧൮ അതിന് അവൻ പറഞ്ഞത്: നിങ്ങൾ നഗരത്തിൽ ഒരുവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന്: എന്റെ സമയം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ എന്റെ ശിഷ്യരുമായി നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പെസഹ കഴിക്കും എന്നു ഗുരു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറയുവിൻ.
And He said; Go into the city to a certain one, and say to him; The Teacher says; My time is nigh; I make the passover with you along with my disciples.
And the disciples did as Jesus commanded them, and prepared the passover.
And it being evening, He sat down at the table with the twelve.
21 ൨൧ അവർ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു: നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുവൻ എന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും എന്നു “ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ട് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And they eating, He said; Truly, I say unto you, that one of you will betray me.
22 ൨൨ അപ്പോൾ അവർ അത്യന്തം ദുഃഖിച്ചു: തീർച്ചയായും ഞാനല്ലല്ലോ കർത്താവേ, ഞാനല്ലല്ലോ കർത്താവേ, എന്നു ഓരോരുത്തൻ ചോദിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.
And they being exceedingly sorrowful, began each one of them to say to Him, Lord, whether am I the one?
And responding He said, The one dipping his hand in the dish with me, the same shall betray me.
24 ൨൪ തന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ പോകും; മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യനോ ഹാ കഷ്ടം; ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ജനിക്കാതിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവന് നന്നായിരുന്നു.
Indeed the Son of man goeth, as has been written concerning Him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It was good for him if that man had never been born.
25 ൨൫ അവനെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്ന യൂദാ: ഞാനോ, റബ്ബീ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്: നീ സ്വയം പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ എന്ന് അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
But Judas, the one betraying Him, responding said, Master, whether am I the one? He says to him, Thou hast said it.
26 ൨൬ അവർ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അപ്പം എടുത്തു അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നുറുക്കി ശിഷ്യന്മാർക്ക് കൊടുത്തു: വാങ്ങി ഭക്ഷിക്കുവിൻ; ഇതു എന്റെ ശരീരം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And they eating, Jesus taking the bread, and blessing it, broke, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 ൨൭ പിന്നെ പാനപാത്രം എടുത്തു സ്തോത്രം അർപ്പിച്ച് അവർക്ക് കൊടുത്തു: ഇതിൽ നിന്നു എല്ലാവരും കുടിക്കുവിൻ.
Also taking the cup, and blessing it, He gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all, of it;
for this is my blood which belongs to the new covenant, which is shed for many unto the remission of sin.
29 ൨൯ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പുതുതായി കുടിക്കുംനാൾവരെ ഞാൻ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ ഫലത്തിന്റെ ഈ അനുഭവത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഇനി കുടിക്കുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And I say unto you, that I shall no more drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I may drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father.
Having sung a hymn, they went out into the Mount of Olives.
31 ൩൧ യേശു അവരോട്: ഈ രാത്രിയിൽ ഞാൻ നിമിത്തം നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും വീണുപോകും; ഞാൻ ഇടയനെ വെട്ടും; ആട്ടിൻകൂട്ടങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം ചിതറിപ്പോകും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
Then Jesus says to them, You will all be offended in me this night: for it has been written, I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered.
And after I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
33 ൩൩ അതിന് പത്രൊസ്: എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങ് നിമിത്തം വീണുപോയാലും ഞാൻ ഒരുനാളും വീഴുകയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
But Peter responding said to Him, If all shall be offended in thee, I will never be offended.
34 ൩൪ യേശു അവനോട്: ഈ രാത്രിയിൽ കോഴി കൂകുംമുമ്പെ നീ മൂന്നുവട്ടം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ട് നിന്നോട് പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Jesus said to him, Truly I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock shall crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
35 ൩൫ നിന്നോട് കൂടെ മരിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നാലും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറകയില്ല എന്നു പത്രൊസ് അവനോട് പറഞ്ഞു. അതുപോലെ തന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും പറഞ്ഞു.
And Peter says to Him, If it may be necessary for me to die with thee, I will not deny thee. Likewise also all the disciples said.
36 ൩൬ അനന്തരം യേശു അവരുമായി ഗെത്ത്ശമന എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന തോട്ടത്തിൽ വന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോട്: ഞാൻ അവിടെ പോയി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു വരുവോളം ഇവിടെ ഇരിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,
Then Jesus comes with them into a place called Gethsemane, and He says to His disciples, Sit here, until I having gone may pray there.
37 ൩൭ തന്നോടൊപ്പം പത്രൊസിനേയും സെബെദിപുത്രന്മാർ ഇരുവരെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് ചെന്ന് ദുഃഖിച്ചും വ്യാകുലപ്പെട്ടും തുടങ്ങി:
And taking Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, He began to grieve and to be dejected.
38 ൩൮ എന്റെ ഉള്ളം മരണവേദനപോലെ അതിദുഃഖിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇവിടെ എന്നോടൊപ്പം ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ എന്നു അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
Then He says to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death: abide here, and pray with me.
39 ൩൯ പിന്നെ അവൻ അല്പം മുമ്പോട്ടുചെന്നു കവിണ്ണുവീണു: പിതാവേ, കഴിയും എങ്കിൽ ഈ പാനപാത്രം എങ്കൽ നിന്നു നീങ്ങിപ്പോകേണമേ; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ അല്ല, നീ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ ആകട്ടെ എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.
And having gone forward a little, He fell on His face, praying, and saying, My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me: moreover not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 ൪൦ പിന്നെ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു, അവർ ഉറങ്ങുന്നത് കണ്ട്, പത്രൊസിനോട്: എന്നോട് കൂടെ ഒരു നാഴികപോലും ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലയോ?
And He comes to the disciples, and finds them sleeping, and says to Peter, Were you not able to watch with me one hour?
41 ൪൧ പരീക്ഷയിൽ അകപ്പെടാതിരിക്കുവാൻ ഉണർന്നിരുന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുവിൻ; ആത്മാവ് ഒരുക്കമുള്ളത്, ജഡമോ ബലഹീനമത്രേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു
Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
42 ൪൨ രണ്ടാമതും പോയി: പിതാവേ, ഞാൻ കുടിക്കാതെ അത് നീങ്ങിക്കൂടാ എങ്കിൽ, നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ആകട്ടെ എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.
And again the second time, having gone away, He prayed, saying, My Father, if it is possible that this cup pass from me, if I shall not drink it, let thy will be done.
And having come He finds them again sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
And leaving them, having gone away, He prayed again the third time, speaking the same word.
45 ൪൫ പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: ഇപ്പോഴും നിങ്ങൾ ഉറങ്ങി ആശ്വസിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? സമയം സമീപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ പാപികളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു;
Then He comes to His disciples, and says to them, Sleep on, and take your rest, behold, the hour is nigh, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners:
46 ൪൬ എഴുന്നേല്പിൻ, നമുക്കു പോകാം; ഇതാ, എന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവൻ അടുത്തെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
arise, let us go: behold, the one having betrayed me is nigh.
47 ൪൭ അവൻ സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ പന്തിരുവരിൽ ഒരുവനായ യൂദയും അവനോട് കൂടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരും അയച്ച വലിയൊരു പുരുഷാരവും വാളുകളും വടികളുമായി വന്നു.
And He still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 ൪൮ യേശുവിനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവൻ അവർക്ക് ഒരു അടയാളം കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു; ഞാൻ ആരെ ചുംബിക്കുമോ അവൻ തന്നേ ആകുന്നു, അവനെ പിടിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And the one having betrayed Him gave them a sign, saying, The one whom I shall kiss, is He: hold Him fast.
And immediately coming forward to Jesus, he said, Hail, Master; and kissed Him copiously.
50 ൫൦ യേശു അവനോട്: സ്നേഹിതാ, നീ വന്ന കാര്യം എന്ത് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവർ അടുത്തുവന്ന് യേശുവിന്മേൽ കൈ വെച്ച് അവനെ പിടിച്ച്.
And Jesus said to him, Comrade, unto what do you come? Then having come forward they laid hands on Him, and bound Him.
51 ൫൧ അപ്പോൾ യേശുവിനോടു കൂടെയുള്ളവരിൽ ഒരുവൻ കൈ നീട്ടി വാൾ ഊരി, മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ദാസനെ വെട്ടി അവന്റെ കാത് അറുത്തു.
And behold, one of those along with Jesus, reaching out his hand, drew his sword, and smiting the servant of the high priest, cut off his ear.
Then Jesus says to him, Turn away thy sword into its place; for all taking the sword shall perish by the sword.
53 ൫൩ എന്റെ പിതാവിനോട് ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നേ പന്ത്രണ്ട് ലെഗ്യോനിലുംഅധികം ദൂതന്മാരെ എന്റെ അരികെ നിർത്തേണ്ടതിന് എനിക്ക് വിളിച്ചുകൂടാ എന്നു തോന്നുന്നുവോ?
Whether do you think that I am not able now to call upon my Father, and He will send me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 ൫൪ എന്നാൽ ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കണം എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തുകൾക്ക് പിന്നെ എങ്ങനെ നിവൃത്തിവരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled, because it is necessary thus to be done?
55 ൫൫ ആ നാഴികയിൽ യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തോട്: ഒരു കൊള്ളക്കാരന്റെ നേരെ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ പിടിപ്പാൻ വാളും വടിയുമായി വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ദിവസേന ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ബന്ധിച്ചില്ല.
And at that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, You have come out as against a robber with swords and clubs to take me: daily did I sit with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not arrest me:
56 ൫൬ എന്നാൽ ഇതു ഒക്കെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ എഴുത്തുകൾ നിവൃത്തിയാകേണ്ടതിന് സംഭവിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും അവനെ വിട്ടു ഓടിപ്പോയി.
but all this took place that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then the disciples all leaving Him, fled away.
57 ൫൭ യേശുവിനെ പിടിച്ചവരോ അവനെ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ കയ്യഫായുടെ അടുക്കൽ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടിയിരുന്നിടത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
Taking Jesus they led Him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the chief priests and elders were assembled together.
58 ൫൮ എന്നാൽ പത്രൊസ് ദൂരത്ത് നിന്നും പിൻതുടർന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ അരമനയോളം ചെന്ന്, അകത്ത് കടന്ന് അവസാനം എന്താകും എന്ന് കാണ്മാൻ സേവകന്മാരോടുകൂടി ഇരുന്നു
And Peter followed Him a long way off, into the court of the high priest, and having come in, was sitting with the officers, to see the end.
59 ൫൯ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ന്യായാധിപസംഘം ഒക്കെയും യേശുവിനെ കൊല്ലുവാനായി അവന്റെനേരെ കള്ളസാക്ഷ്യം അന്വേഷിച്ചു;
And the high priests and all the sanhedrim were seeking false testimony against Jesus, in order that they might kill Him.
And they found none. And many false witnesses having come forward, they found none.
61 ൬൧ ഒടുവിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ വന്നു: ദൈവമന്ദിരം പൊളിച്ച് മൂന്നു ദിവസംകൊണ്ട് വീണ്ടും പണിവാൻ എനിക്ക് കഴിയും എന്നു ഇവൻ പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു അവരെ ധരിപ്പിച്ചു.
And afterwards two false witnesses having come forward, said, He said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and build it in three days.
62 ൬൨ മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് അവനോട്: നിനക്ക് ഒരു ഉത്തരവും പറയുവാനില്ലേ? ഇവർ നിന്റെനേരെ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നത് എന്ത് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
And the high priest rising, said to Him, Do you respond nothing? what are they witnessing against you?
63 ൬൩ യേശുവോ നിശബ്ദനായിരുന്നു. മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ പിന്നെയും അവനോട്: നീ ദൈവപുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തുതന്നെയോ? പറക എന്നു ഞാൻ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെക്കൊണ്ട് നിന്നോട് ആണയിട്ട് കൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
And Jesus was silent; and the high priest responding said to Him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us if thou art the Christ, the Son of God.
64 ൬൪ യേശു അവനോട്: നീ നിന്നോട് തന്നെ അത് പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനി മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ സർവ്വാധികാരത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്ത് ഇരിക്കുന്നതും ആകാശമേഘങ്ങളെ വാഹനമാക്കി വരുന്നതും നിങ്ങൾ കാണും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു.
Jesus says to him, Thou didst say it. Moreover I say unto you, that, Hereafter you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
65 ൬൫ ഉടനെ മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ വസ്ത്രം കീറി: ഇവൻ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറഞ്ഞു; ഇനി സാക്ഷികളെക്കൊണ്ട് നമുക്കു എന്ത് ആവശ്യം? നിങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ ദൈവദൂഷണം കേട്ടുവല്ലോ;
Then the high priest tore his robes, saying, He blasphemed: why have we yet need of witnesses? behold, now you heard His blasphemy:
what seems to you? They responding said, He is worthy of death.
They spat in His face, and buffeted Him: and they slapped Him,
saying, Prophesy unto us, who is the one smiting thee?
69 ൬൯ എന്നാൽ പത്രൊസ് പുറത്തു മുറ്റത്ത് ഇരുന്നു. അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഒരു വേലക്കാരി പെൺകുട്ടി വന്നു: നീയും ഗലീലക്കാരനായ യേശുവിനോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And Peter was sitting without in the court. And a certain maidservant came to him, saying, Truly, thou wast with Jesus the Galilean.
And he denied before all, I know not what you say.
71 ൭൧ പിന്നെ അവൻ പടിപ്പുരയിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ മറ്റൊരു വേലക്കാരി പെൺകുട്ടി അവനെ കണ്ട് അവിടെയുള്ളവരോട്: ഇവനും നസറായനായ യേശുവിനോടു കൂടെയായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു
And another maidservant saw him, having come to the gate, and says to them there, This man was with Jesus the Nazarene.
And again he denied with an oath, I know not the man.
73 ൭൩ അല്പനേരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ട് അവിടെ നിന്നവർ അടുത്തുവന്നു പത്രൊസിനോട്: നീയും അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഉള്ളവൻ സത്യം; നിന്റെ ഉച്ചാരണവും അത് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And after a little the bystanders coming to Peter, said, Truly, thou art also one of them, for indeed thy speech betrays thee.
74 ൭൪ അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: ആ മനുഷ്യനെ ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ശപിക്കുവാനും ആണയിടുവാനും തുടങ്ങി; ഉടനെ കോഴി കൂകി.
