വിലാപങ്ങൾ 3

1 ൧ ഞാൻ അവന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ വടികൊണ്ട് കഷ്ടത കണ്ട പുരുഷനാകുന്നു.

I [, the one who am writing this, ] am a man who has been afflicted/punished [MTY] by Yahweh because he was angry.

2 ൨ അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ വെളിച്ചത്തിലല്ല, ഇരുട്ടിലത്രേ നടക്കുമാറാക്കിയത്.

[It was as though] he caused me to walk in a very dark place without any light [at all].

3 ൩ അതേ, അവിടുത്തെ കരം ഇടവിടാതെ എന്റെ നേരെ തിരിക്കുന്നു.

He has punished [IDM] me many times, all day, [every] day.

4 ൪ എന്റെ മാംസവും ത്വക്കും അവിടുന്ന് ജീർണ്ണമാക്കി, എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ തകർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

He has caused my skin and my flesh to become old. He has broken my bones.

5 ൫ അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ ആക്രമിച്ച്, കയ്പും പ്രയാസവും ചുറ്റുമതിലാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

He has surrounded me [DOU] with bitterness and suffering.

6 ൬ പണ്ടേ മരിച്ചവനെപ്പോലെ അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ ഇരുട്ടിൽ പാർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു

[It is as though] he has buried me in a dark place like [SIM] [the graves of] those who have been dead for a long time.

7 ൭ പുറത്തു പോകുവാൻ കഴിയാതവണ്ണം അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ വേലികെട്ടിയടച്ച് എന്റെ ചങ്ങലയെ ഭാരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

[It is as though] [MET] he has built a wall around me, and fastened/tied me with heavy chains, and I cannot escape.

8 ൮ ഞാൻ കൂകി നിലവിളിച്ചാലും അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന തടുത്തുകളയുന്നു.

Although I call out and cry out for him to help me, he does not pay attention to my prayers.

9 ൯ വെട്ടുകല്ലുകൊണ്ട് അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ വഴി അടച്ച്, എന്റെ പാതകളെ വളയുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

[It is as though] he has blocked my path with a [high] stone [wall] and has caused my path to become crooked.

10 ൧൦ അവിടുന്ന് എനിക്ക് പതിയിരിക്കുന്ന കരടിയെപ്പോലെയും മറഞ്ഞുനില്‍ക്കുന്ന സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

He has waited to attack me like [SIM] a bear or a lion hides and waits [to attack other animals].

11 ൧൧ അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ വഴികളെ തെറ്റിച്ച് എന്നെ കടിച്ചുകീറി ശൂന്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

[It is as though] he has dragged me off the path and (mauled me/torn me into pieces), and left me without help.

12 ൧൨ അവിടുന്ന് വില്ലു കുലച്ച് എന്നെ അമ്പിന് ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

[It is as though] [MET] he bent his bow and caused me to become the target [at which he shot] his arrows.

13 ൧൩ തന്റെ ആവനാഴിയിലെ അമ്പുകളെ അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ അന്തരംഗങ്ങളിൽ തറപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

[It is as though] he shot his arrows deep into my body.

14 ൧൪ ഞാൻ എന്റെ സർവ്വജനത്തിനും പരിഹാസവും ഇടവിടാതെ അവരുടെ പാട്ടും ആയിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

All my relatives laugh at me; all day, [every] day they sing songs that make fun of me.

15 ൧൫ അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ കൈപ്പുകൊണ്ട് നിറച്ച്, കാഞ്ഞിരംകൊണ്ട് മത്തുപിടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

He has filled me with (bitterness/great suffering), [like] [MET] someone who drinks a very bitter liquid suffers.

16 ൧൬ അവിടുന്ന് കല്ലുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ പല്ല് തകർത്ത്, എന്നെ വെണ്ണീരിൽ ഇട്ടുരുട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

[It is as though] he has caused me to chew gravel that broke my teeth, and he has trampled me in the dirt.

17 ൧൭ അങ്ങ് എന്റെ പ്രാണനിൽ നിന്ന് സമാധാനം നീക്കി; ഞാൻ സുഖം മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

Things no longer go well for me; I no longer remember being prosperous.

18 ൧൮ എന്റെ മഹത്വവും യഹോവയിലുള്ള എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയും പൊയ്പ്പോയല്ലോ എന്ന് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

I [continued to] say [to myself], “I no longer expect to live much longer; I no longer confidently expect [to receive good things] from Yahweh!”

19 ൧൯ അങ്ങ് എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയും അരിഷ്ടതയും കാഞ്ഞിരവും കയ്പും ഓർക്കേണമേ.

When I think about my suffering and my wandering [away from home], [it is like drinking] a very bitter [DOU] liquid.

20 ൨൦ എന്റെ പ്രാണൻ എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ എപ്പോഴും അവയെ ഓർത്ത് ഉരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

I will never forget this time when I feel very depressed/discouraged [IDM].

21 ൨൧ ഇത് ഞാൻ ഓർക്കും; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ പ്രത്യാശിക്കും.

However, I confidently expect [Yahweh to do good things for me again] when I think about this:

22 ൨൨ നാം നശിച്ചുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്നത് യഹോവയുടെ ദയ ആകുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ കരുണ തീർന്ന് പോയിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ;

Yahweh never stops faithfully loving [us], and he never stops being kind to us.

23 ൨൩ അത് രാവിലെതോറും പുതിയതും അവിടുത്തെ വിശ്വസ്തത വലിയതും ആകുന്നു.

[He is the one whom we can] always trust/lean on. Every morning he is merciful [to us again].

24 ൨൪ യഹോവ എന്റെ ഓഹരി എന്ന് എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പറയുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അങ്ങയിൽ പ്രത്യാശവക്കുന്നു.

[So] I say to myself, “Yahweh is all that I need; so I will confidently wait for him [to do good things for me].”

25 ൨൫ തന്നെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവർക്കും തന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവനും യഹോവ നല്ലവൻ.

Yahweh is good to [all] those who depend on him, to those who seek his [help].

26 ൨൬ യഹോവയുടെ രക്ഷക്കായി മിണ്ടാതെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നത് നല്ലത്.

[So] it is good for us to wait quietly for Yahweh to save/rescue [us].

27 ൨൭ ബാല്യത്തിൽ നുകം ചുമക്കുന്നത് ഒരു പുരുഷന് നല്ലത്.

And it is good for us to [patiently] endure [suffering] while we are young.

28 ൨൮ അവിടുന്ന് അത് അവന്റെമേൽ വച്ചിരിക്കുക കൊണ്ട് അവൻ ഏകനായി മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.

Those [who seek his help] should sit by themselves, silently, [knowing that] it is Yahweh who has allowed/caused them to suffer.

29 ൨൯ അവൻ തന്റെ മുഖം പൊടിയോളം താഴ്ത്തട്ടെ; പക്ഷേ പ്രത്യാശ ശേഷിക്കും.

They should lie in the dirt, with their faces on the ground, [because] they can still hope [that Yahweh will help them].

30 ൩൦ തന്നെ അടിക്കുന്നവന് അവൻ കവിൾ കാണിക്കട്ടെ; അവൻ വേണ്ടുവോളം നിന്ദ അനുഭവിക്കട്ടെ.

If someone strikes us on one cheek, we should turn the other cheek toward that person [in order that he may strike it, too], and accept/endure it when we are insulted.

31 ൩൧ കർത്താവ് എന്നേക്കും തള്ളിക്കളകയില്ലല്ലോ.

Yahweh does not abandon [us his people] forever.

32 ൩൨ അവിടുന്ന് ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ചാലും തന്റെ മഹാദയയ്ക്ക് ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവിടുത്തേയ്ക്ക് കരുണ തോന്നും.

Sometimes he causes us to suffer, but sometimes he is kind [to us] because he continually and faithfully loves [us].

33 ൩൩ മനസ്സോടെയല്ലല്ലോ അവിടുന്ന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ച് വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.

And he is not happy about causing human beings to suffer or to be sad.

34 ൩൪ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലബദ്ധന്മാരെയും കാല്കീഴിട്ട് മെതിക്കുന്നതും

If people (mistreat all the prisoners/crush all the prisoners under their feet)

35 ൩൫ അത്യുന്നതന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ മനുഷ്യന്റെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നതും

or if they rebel against God by refusing to give to people the things that it is right for them [to receive],

36 ൩൬ അവന്റെ നീതി നിഷേധിക്കുന്നതും കർത്താവ് കാണുകയില്ലയോ?

or if they cause judges to decide matters unjustly, (does Yahweh not see all those things?/Yahweh certainly sees all those things!) [RHQ]

37 ൩൭ കർത്താവ് കല്പിക്കാതെ ആര് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടാകുന്നു വല്ലതും സംഭവിക്കുന്നത്?

No one can [RHQ] command something to happen [and then cause it to happen] if Yahweh has not already decided that it should happen.

38 ൩൮ അത്യുന്നതനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വായിൽനിന്ന് നന്മയും തിന്മയും പുറപ്പെടുന്നില്ലയോ?

God in heaven [MTY] is [RHQ] the one who causes disasters to happen, and he [also] causes good things to happen.

39 ൩൯ ജീവനുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ നെടുവീർപ്പിടുന്നതെന്ത്? ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് നെടുവീർപ്പിടട്ടെ.

[So] it is certainly not [RHQ] right for us, who are only humans, to complain when he punishes us for the sins that we have committed.

40 ൪൦ നാം നമ്മുടെ നടപ്പ് ആരാഞ്ഞ് ശോധനചെയ്ത് യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് തിരിയുക.

Instead, we should (examine/think carefully about) our behavior; we should turn back to Yahweh.

41 ൪൧ നാം കൈകളെയും ഹൃദയത്തെയും സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്ക് ഉയർത്തുക.

We should pray [IDM] sincerely and lift up our arms toward God in heaven, [and say, ]

42 ൪൨ ഞങ്ങൾ അതിക്രമം ചെയ്ത് മത്സരിച്ചു; അങ്ങ് ക്ഷമിച്ചതുമില്ല.

“We have sinned and rebelled [against you], and you have not forgiven [us].

43 ൪൩ അങ്ങ് കോപം പുതച്ച് ഞങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടർന്ന്, കരുണ കൂടാതെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

You have surrounded us with your anger and pursued us; you have slaughtered [us] without pitying us.

44 ൪൪ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കടക്കാതവണ്ണം അങ്ങ് സ്വയം മേഘംകൊണ്ട് മറച്ചു.

You have hidden yourself in a cloud, with the result that you do not hear [us] when we pray.

45 ൪൫ അങ്ങ് ഞങ്ങളെ ജനതകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ചവറും എച്ചിലും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

You have caused [the people of other] nations to consider us to be only garbage [DOU].

46 ൪൬ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ വായ് പിളർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

All our enemies have insulted us.

47 ൪൭ പേടിയും കണിയും ശൂന്യവും നാശവും ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

We are constantly afraid [DOU], [because] we have experienced disasters and ruin [DOU].”

48 ൪൮ എന്റെ ജനത്തിൻപുത്രിയുടെ നാശംനിമിത്തം എന്റെ കണ്ണിൽ നിന്ന് ജലനദികൾ ഒഴുകുന്നു.

I cry a lot because my people have been destroyed.

49 ൪൯ യഹോവ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് നോക്കി കടാക്ഷിക്കുവോളം

My tears continually flow; they will not stop

50 ൫൦ എന്റെ കണ്ണ് ഇടവിടാതെ ഒഴുകുന്നു; നിലയ്ക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

until Yahweh looks down from heaven and sees [us].

51 ൫൧ എന്റെ നഗരത്തിലെ സകലസ്ത്രീജനത്തെയും കുറിച്ച് ഞാൻ കാണുന്നത് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

I am very grieved because of [what has happened to] the women of my city.

52 ൫൨ കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളായവർ എന്നെ ഒരു പക്ഷിയെപ്പോലെ വേട്ടയാടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Those who are my enemies hunted for me like [SIM] [people hunt for] a bird [to kill it] [even though] there was no reason [for them to do that].

53 ൫൩ അവർ എന്റെ ജീവനെ കുഴിയിൽ ഇട്ട് നശിപ്പിച്ച്, എന്റെ മേൽ കല്ല് എറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

They threw me into a pit to kill me, and they threw stones on top of me.

54 ൫൪ വെള്ളം എന്റെ തലയ്ക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകി; ഞാൻ നശിച്ചുപോയി എന്ന് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

The water [in the pit] rose above my head, and I said [to myself], “I am about to die/drown!”

55 ൫൫ യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ ആഴമുള്ളകുഴിയിൽ നിന്ന് അവിടുത്തെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

But from the bottom of the pit I cried out to you [MTY], “Yahweh, [help me]!”

56 ൫൬ ‘എന്റെ നെടുവീർപ്പിനും എന്റെ നിലവിളിക്കും ചെവി പൊത്തിക്കളയരുതേ’ എന്ന എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന അങ്ങ് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

I pleaded with you, “Do not refuse to heed [MTY] me while I cry out to you!”

57 ൫൭ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ച നാളിൽ അങ്ങ് അടുത്തുവന്ന്: “ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.

Then you answered me and said, “Do not be afraid!”

58 ൫൮ കർത്താവേ, അങ്ങ് എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം നടത്തി, എന്റെ ജീവനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Yahweh, you defended me; you did not allow me to die.

59 ൫൯ യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ അനുഭവിച്ച അന്യായം അങ്ങ് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം തീർത്ത് തരേണമേ.

[Now], Yahweh, you have seen the evil things that my enemies have done to me, [so] decide my case [and show that I am right]!

60 ൬൦ അവർ ചെയ്ത സകലപ്രതികാരവും എനിക്ക് വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ സകലനിരൂപണങ്ങളും അങ്ങ് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

You know the evil things that they have planned to do to me.

61 ൬൧ യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ നിന്ദയും എനിക്ക് വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ സകലനിരൂപണങ്ങളും

Yahweh, you have heard them insult [me] and what they have planned to do to me.

62 ൬൨ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ വാക്കുകളും ഇടവിടാതെ എനിക്ക് വിരോധമായുള്ള ആലോചനകളും അങ്ങ് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

Every day they whisper and mutter things about me, all day long.

63 ൬൩ അവരുടെ ഇരിപ്പും എഴുന്നേല്പും നോക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പാട്ടായിരിക്കുന്നു.

Look at them! Whether they are standing or sitting they make fun of me with the songs that they sing.

64 ൬൪ യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്ക് തക്കവണ്ണം അവർക്ക് പകരം ചെയ്യേണമേ;

Yahweh, cause them to suffer in return for their causing [me] to suffer!

65 ൬൫ അങ്ങ് അവർക്ക് ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം വരുത്തും; അങ്ങയുടെ ശാപം അവർക്ക് വരട്ടെ.

Curse them [IDM] [for] their being very stubborn [IDM].

66 ൬൬ അങ്ങ് അവരെ കോപത്തോടെ പിന്തുടർന്ന്, യഹോവയുടെ ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴിൽനിന്ന് നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

Because you are angry with them, pursue them and get rid of them, [until none of them remain] on the earth.
