ന്യായാധിപന്മാർ 3
1 ൧ കനാനിലെ യുദ്ധങ്ങളിലൊന്നും പങ്കെടുത്ത് യുദ്ധ പരിചയം ഇല്ലാതിരുന്ന യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ തലമുറകളെ പരീക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിനും

29 ൨൯ അവർ ആ സമയം മോവാബ്യരിൽ ഏകദേശം പതിനായിരംപേരെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു; അവർ എല്ലാവരും ബലവാന്മാരും യുദ്ധവീരന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു;

30 ൩൦ ഒരുത്തനും രക്ഷപെട്ടില്ല. അങ്ങനെ ആ കാലത്ത് മോവാബ് യിസ്രായേലിന് കീഴടങ്ങി; ദേശത്ത് എൺപത് സംവത്സരം സ്വസ്ഥതയുണ്ടാകുകയും ചെയ്തു.
