യോനാ 2
Then Jonah prayed unto YHWH his Elohim out of the fish's belly,
2 ൨ “ഞാൻ എന്റെ കഷ്ടത നിമിത്തം യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവൻ എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരം അരുളി; ഞാൻ പാതാളത്തിന്റെ ഉദരത്തിൽനിന്ന് കരഞ്ഞപേക്ഷിച്ചു; നീ എന്റെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു. (Sheol h7585)
And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto YHWH, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. (Sheol h7585)
3 ൩ നീ എന്നെ സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ ആഴത്തിൽ ഇട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു; പ്രവാഹങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചുറ്റി; നിന്റെ ഓളങ്ങളും തിരകളുമെല്ലാം എന്റെ മീതെ കടന്നുപോയി.
For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
4 ൪ നിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി എന്നിൽ നിന്നു നീക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 ൬ ഞാൻ പർവ്വതങ്ങളുടെ അടിവാരങ്ങളോളം ഇറങ്ങി, ഭൂമി തന്റെ ഓടാമ്പലുകളാൽ എന്നെ സദാകാലത്തേക്കും അടെച്ചു. എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പാതാളത്തിൽനിന്ന് കയറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O YHWH my Elohim.
7 ൭ എന്റെ പ്രാണൻ ക്ഷീണിച്ചുപോയപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ ഓർത്തു. എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തി.
When my soul fainted within me I remembered YHWH: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 ൯ ഞാനോ സ്തോത്രനാദത്തോടെ നിനക്ക് യാഗം അർപ്പിക്കും; നേർന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാൻ നിറവേറ്റും. രക്ഷ യഹോവയിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ വരുന്നു”.
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of YHWH.
And YHWH spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
