ഇയ്യോബ് 24
1 ൧ സർവ്വശക്തൻ ശിക്ഷാസമയങ്ങളെ നിയമിക്കാത്തതും അവിടുത്തെ ഭക്തന്മാർ അവിടുത്തെ വിസ്താര ദിവസങ്ങളെ കാണാതിരിക്കുന്നതും എന്ത്?
“Why are not times laid up by the Almighty? Why do not those who know him see his days?
There are people who remove the landmarks. They violently take away flocks, and feed them.
They drive away the donkey of the fatherless, and they take the widow’s ox for a pledge.
They turn the needy out of the way. The poor of the earth all hide themselves.
5 ൫ അവർ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ കാട്ടുകഴുതകളെപ്പോലെ ഇരതേടി വേലയ്ക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; അവർ മക്കൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ശൂന്യപ്രദേശത്ത് ആഹാരം തേടിയുള്ള വേലയ്ക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുന്നു.
Behold, as wild donkeys in the desert, they go out to their work, seeking diligently for food. The wilderness yields them bread for their children.
They cut their food in the field. They glean the vineyard of the wicked.
They lie all night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold.
They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for lack of a shelter.
There are those who pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor,
so that they go around naked without clothing. Being hungry, they carry the sheaves.
11 ൧൧ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ മതിലുകൾക്കകത്ത് അവർ ചക്കാട്ടുന്നു; മുന്തിരിച്ചക്ക് ചവിട്ടുകയും ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
They make oil within the walls of these men. They tread wine presses, and suffer thirst.
12 ൧൨ പട്ടണത്തിൽ ആളുകൾ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു; മുറിവേറ്റവരുടെ പ്രാണൻ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം അവരുടെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥന ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നില്ല
From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, yet God does not regard the folly.
13 ൧൩ ഇവർ വെളിച്ചത്തോട് മത്സരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ വഴികളെ അറിയുന്നില്ല; അതിന്റെ പാതകളിൽ നടക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
“These are of those who rebel against the light. They do not know its ways, nor stay in its paths.
14 ൧൪ കൊലപാതകൻ രാവിലെ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു; ദരിദ്രനെയും എളിയവനെയും കൊല്ലുന്നു; രാത്രിയിൽ കള്ളനായി നടക്കുന്നു.
The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief.
15 ൧൫ വ്യഭിചാരിയുടെ കണ്ണ് അസ്തമയം കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ മുഖം മറച്ച് നടക്കുന്നു. “ഒരു കണ്ണും എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല” എന്ന് പറയുന്നു.
The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, ‘No eye will see me.’ He disguises his face.
16 ൧൬ ചിലർ ഇരുട്ടത്ത് വീട് തുരന്നു കയറുന്നു; പകൽ അവർ വാതിൽ അടച്ചു പാർക്കുന്നു; വെളിച്ചത്ത് ഇറങ്ങുന്നതുമില്ല.
In the dark they dig through houses. They shut themselves up in the daytime. They do not know the light.
For the morning is to all of them like thick darkness, for they know the terrors of the thick darkness.
18 ൧൮ വെള്ളത്തിനുമീതെകൂടി അവർ വേഗത്തിൽ പൊയ്പോകുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഓഹരി ഭൂമിയിൽ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ആരും പോകുന്നില്ല.
“They are foam on the surface of the waters. Their portion is cursed in the earth. They do not turn into the way of the vineyards.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol (Sheol h7585) those who have sinned.
20 ൨൦ അവനെ വഹിച്ച ഗർഭപാത്രം അവനെ മറന്നുകളയും; കൃമി അവനെ തിന്ന് രസിക്കും; പിന്നെ ആരും അവനെ ഓർക്കുകയില്ല; നീതികേട് ഒരു വൃക്ഷംപോലെ തകർന്നുപോകും.
The womb will forget him. The worm will feed sweetly on him. He will be no more remembered. Unrighteousness will be broken as a tree.
He devours the barren who do not bear. He shows no kindness to the widow.
22 ൨൨ ദൈവം തന്റെ ശക്തിയാൽ കരുത്തന്മാരെ നിലനില്‍ക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു; ജീവനെക്കുറിച്ച് നിരാശപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കെ അവർ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു.
Yet God preserves the mighty by his power. He rises up who has no assurance of life.
23 ൨൩ അവിടുന്ന് അവർക്ക് നിർഭയവാസം നല്കുന്നു; അവർ ഉറച്ചുനില്ക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി അവരുടെ വഴികളിലുണ്ട്.
God gives them security, and they rest in it. His eyes are on their ways.
24 ൨൪ അവർ ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കുറെകഴിഞ്ഞിട്ട് അവർ ഇല്ല; അവരെ താഴ്ത്തി മറ്റെല്ലാവരെയുംപോലെ നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; കതിർക്കുലയെന്നപോലെ അവരെ അറുക്കുന്നു.
They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone. Yes, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
25 ൨൫ ഇങ്ങനെയല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്നെ കള്ളനാക്കുകയും എന്റെ വാക്ക് അർത്ഥശൂന്യമെന്ന് തെളിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാവുന്നവൻ ആര്?
If it is not so now, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech worth nothing?”
