യിരെമ്യാവു 35
1 ൧ യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകൻ യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ കാലത്ത് യിരെമ്യാവിന് യഹോവയിങ്കൽ നിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാട് എന്തെന്നാൽ:
And it came to pass in the fourth year of Sedekias king of Juda, in the fifth month, [that] Ananias the false prophet, the son of Azor, from Gabaon, spoke to me in the house of the Lord, in the sight of the priests and all the people, saying,
2 ൨ നീ രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹത്തിൽ ചെന്ന്, അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ച് അവരെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ഒരു മുറിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് അവർക്ക് വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കുവാൻ കൊടുക്കുക.
Thus saith the Lord; I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
3 ൩ അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഹബസിന്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ യയസന്യാവിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും അവന്റെ സകലപുത്രന്മാരെയും രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹത്തെ മുഴുവൻ കൂട്ടി
Yet two full years, and I will return into this place the vessels of the house of the Lord,
4 ൪ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ മുറിക്കരികിൽ ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മകനായ വാതിൽക്കാവല്ക്കാരൻ മയസേയാവിന്റെ മുറിക്കു മീതെ ഇഗ്ദല്യാവിന്റെ മകനും ദൈവപുരുഷനുമായ ഹാനാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മുറിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
and Jechonias, and the captivity of Juda: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.
5 ൫ പിന്നെ ഞാൻ, രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹക്കാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വീഞ്ഞു നിറച്ച കുടങ്ങളും പാനപാത്രങ്ങളും വച്ച് അവരോട്: “വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കുവിൻ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
Then Jeremias spoke to Ananias in the sight of all the people, and in the sight of the priests that stood in the house of the Lord,
6 ൬ അതിന് അവർ പറഞ്ഞത്: “ഞങ്ങൾ വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കുകയില്ല; രേഖാബിന്റെ മകൻ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബ് ഞങ്ങളോട്: ‘നിങ്ങൾ ചെന്നു പാർക്കുന്ന ദേശത്ത് ദീർഘായുസ്സോടെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്
and Jeremias said, May the Lord indeed do thus; may he confirm thy word which thou dost prophesy, to return the vessels of the house of the Lord, and all the captivity, out of Babylon to this place.
7 ൭ നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളും ഒരിക്കലും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കരുത്; വീടു പണിയരുത്; വിത്ത് വിതയ്ക്കരുത്; മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കരുത്; ഈ വക ഒന്നും നിങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ടാകുകയും അരുത്; നിങ്ങൾ ജീവപര്യന്തം കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കണം എന്നിങ്ങനെ കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Nevertheless hear ye the word of the Lord which I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people.
8 ൮ അങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങളും ഭാര്യമാരും പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ജീവകാലത്ത് ഒരിക്കലും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കുകയോ
The prophets that were before me and before you of old, also prophesied over much country, and against great kingdoms, concerning war.
9 ൯ താമസിക്കുവാൻ വീടു പണിയുകയോ ചെയ്യാതെ രേഖാബിന്റെ മകൻ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബ് ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ച സകലത്തിലും അവന്റെ വാക്ക് കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചുവരുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടവും വയലും വിത്തും ഇല്ല.
[As for] the prophet that has prophesied for peace, when the word has come [to pass], they shall know the prophet whom the Lord has sent them in truth.
10 ൧൦ ഞങ്ങൾ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ വസിച്ച്, ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബ് ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ എല്ലാം അനുസരിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നു.
Then Ananias took the yokes from the neck of Jeremias in the sight of all the people, and broke them to pieces.
11 ൧൧ എന്നാൽ ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ ദേശത്തെ ആക്രമിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ: ‘വരുവിൻ, കല്ദയരുടെയും അരാമ്യരുടെയും സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് നമുക്ക് യെരൂശലേമിലേക്ക് പോയ്ക്കളയാം’ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങൾ യെരൂശലേമിൽ താമസിച്ചുവരുന്നു”.
And Ananias spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus said the Lord; Thus will I break the yoke of the king of Babylon from the necks of all the nations. And Jeremias went his way.
And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias, after that Ananias had broken the yokes off his neck, saying,
13 ൧൩ “യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “നീ ചെന്ന് യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരോടും യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളോടും പറയേണ്ടത്: “എന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് നിങ്ങൾ പ്രബോധനം കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ലയോ?” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
Go and speak to Ananias, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but I will make instead of them yokes of iron.
14 ൧൪ “രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാദാബ് തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോട് വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കരുതെന്നു കല്പിച്ചത് അവർ അനുസരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ പിതാവിന്റെ കല്പന പ്രമാണിച്ച് ഇന്നുവരെ വീഞ്ഞ് കുടിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ അനുസരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.
For thus said the Lord, I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all the nations, that they may serve the king of Babylon.
15 ൧൫ നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തൻ അവനവന്റെ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗം വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞ് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ നല്ലതാക്കുവിൻ; അന്യദേവന്മാരോടു ചേർന്ന് അവരെ സേവിക്കരുത്; അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കും തന്ന ദേശത്ത് നിങ്ങൾ വസിക്കും എന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ എന്റെ സകലദാസന്മാരെയും ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു പറയിച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ ചെവി ചായിക്കുകയോ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.
And Jeremias said to Ananias, The Lord has not sent thee; and thou hast caused this people to trust in unrighteousness.
16 ൧൬ രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാദാബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ അവരുടെ പിതാവ് കല്പിച്ച കല്പന പ്രമാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ ജനമോ, എന്റെ വാക്ക് കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല”.
Therefore thus said the Lord: Behold, I [will] cast thee off from the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die.
17 ൧൭ അതുകൊണ്ട് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവർ കേൾക്കുകയോ വിളിച്ചിട്ടും അവർ ഉത്തരം പറയുകയോ ചെയ്യായ്കയാൽ, ഞാൻ യെഹൂദയുടെമേലും യെരൂശലേമിലെ സകലനിവാസികളുടെ മേലും ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അനർത്ഥമെല്ലാം വരുത്തും”.
So he died in the seventh month.
18 ൧൮ പിന്നെ യിരെമ്യാവ് രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞത്: “യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. “നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബിന്റെ കല്പന പ്രമാണിച്ച് അവന്റെ ആജ്ഞ സകലവും അനുസരിച്ച് അവൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ എല്ലാം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുകകൊണ്ട്,
19 ൧൯ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കുവാൻ രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാദാബിന് ഒരു പുരുഷൻ ഒരിക്കലും ഇല്ലാതെ വരുകയില്ല” എന്ന് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
