യെശയ്യാവ് 53
Who would have believed our report? and the arm of the Lord—over whom hath it been revealed?
2 ൨ അവൻ ഇളയ തൈപോലെയും വരണ്ട നിലത്തുനിന്നു വേര് മുളയ്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും അവിടുത്തെ മുമ്പാകെ വളരും; അവനു രൂപഗുണം ഇല്ല, കോമളത്വം ഇല്ല; കണ്ടാൽ ആഗ്രഹിക്കത്തക്ക സൗന്ദര്യവുമില്ല.
Yea, he grew up like a small shoot before him, and as a root out of a dry land: he had no form nor comeliness, so that we should look at him; and no countenance, so that we should desire him.
3 ൩ അവൻ മനുഷ്യരാൽ നിന്ദിക്കപ്പെട്ടും ത്യജിക്കപ്പെട്ടും വ്യസനപാത്രമായും രോഗം ശീലിച്ചവനായും ഇരുന്നു; അവനെ കാണുന്നവർ മുഖം മറച്ചുകളയത്തക്കവിധം അവൻ നിന്ദിതനായിരുന്നു; നാം അവനെ ആദരിച്ചതുമില്ല.
He was despised and shunned by men; a man of pains, and acquainted with disease; and as one who hid his face from us was he despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 ൪ സാക്ഷാൽ നമ്മുടെ രോഗങ്ങളെ അവൻ വഹിച്ചു; നമ്മുടെ വേദനകളെ അവൻ ചുമന്നു; നാമോ, ദൈവം അവനെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചും അടിച്ചും ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചു.
But only our diseases did he bear himself, and our pains he carried: while we indeed esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 ൫ എന്നാൽ അവൻ നമ്മുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം മുറിവേറ്റും നമ്മുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം തകർന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നമ്മുടെ സമാധാനത്തിനായുള്ള ശിക്ഷ അവന്റെമേൽ ആയി അവന്റെ അടിപ്പിണരുകളാൽ നമുക്കു സൗഖ്യം വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
Yet he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement for our peace was upon him; and through his bruises was healing granted to us.
6 ൬ നാം എല്ലാവരും ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ തെറ്റിപ്പോയിരുന്നു; നാം ഓരോരുത്തനും അവനവന്റെ വഴിക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ എല്ലാവരുടെയും അകൃത്യം അവന്റെമേൽ ചുമത്തി.
We all like sheep went astray; every one to his own way did we turn; and the Lord let befall him the guilt of us all.
7 ൭ തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തി വായ് തുറക്കാതെയിരുന്നിട്ടും അവൻ പീഡിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു; കൊല്ലുവാൻ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്ന കുഞ്ഞാടിനെപ്പോലെയും രോമം കത്രിക്കുന്നവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ മിണ്ടാതെയിരിക്കുന്ന ആടിനെപ്പോലെയും അവൻ വായ് തുറക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നു.
He was oppressed, and he was also taunted, yet he opened not his mouth; like the lamb which is led to the slaughter, and like an ewe before her shearers is dumb; and he opened not his mouth.
8 ൮ അവൻ പീഡനത്താലും ശിക്ഷാവിധിയാലും എടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്ന് അവൻ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നും എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം അവനു ദണ്ഡനം വന്നു എന്നും അവന്റെ തലമുറയിൽ ആര് വിചാരിച്ചു?
Through oppression and through judicial punishment was he taken away; but his generation—who could tell, that he was cut away out of the land of life, [that] for the transgressions of my people the plague was laid on him?
9 ൯ അവൻ സാഹസം ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെയും അവന്റെ വായിൽ വഞ്ചനയൊന്നും ഇല്ലാതെയും ഇരുന്നിട്ടും അവർ അവനു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോടുകൂടി ശവക്കുഴി കൊടുത്തു; അവന്റെ മരണത്തിൽ അവൻ സമ്പന്നന്മാരോടുകൂടി ആയിരുന്നു.
And he let his grave be made with the wicked, and with the [godless] rich at his death; although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.
10 ൧൦ എന്നാൽ അവനെ തകർത്തുകളയുവാൻ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നി; അവിടുന്ന് അവനു കഷ്ടം വരുത്തി; അവന്റെ പ്രാണൻ ഒരു അകൃത്യയാഗമായിത്തീർന്നിട്ട് അവൻ സന്തതിയെ കാണുകയും ദീർഘായുസ്സു പ്രാപിക്കുകയും യഹോവയുടെ ഇഷ്ടം അവന്റെ കയ്യാൽ സാധിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
But the Lord was pleased to crush him through disease: when [now] his soul hath brought the trespass-offering, then shall he see [his] seed, live many days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11 ൧൧ അവൻ തന്റെ പ്രയത്നഫലം കണ്ടു തൃപ്തനാകും; നീതിമാനായ എന്റെ ദാസൻ തന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനംകൊണ്ടു പലരെയും നീതീകരിക്കും; അവരുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളെ അവൻ വഹിക്കും.
[Freed] from the trouble of his soul shall he see [the good] and be satisfied: through his knowledge shall my righteous servant bring the many to righteousness, while he will bear their iniquities.
12 ൧൨ അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അവനു മഹാന്മാരോടുകൂടി ഓഹരി കൊടുക്കും; ബലവാന്മാരോടുകൂടി അവൻ കൊള്ള പങ്കിടും; അവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ മരണത്തിന് ഒഴുക്കിക്കളയുകയും അനേകം പേരുടെ പാപം വഹിച്ചും അതിക്രമക്കാർക്കു വേണ്ടി ഇടനിന്നുംകൊണ്ട് അതിക്രമക്കാരോടുകൂടി എണ്ണപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുകയാൽ തന്നെ.
Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the many, and with the strong shall he divide the spoil; because he poured out his soul unto death, and with transgressors was he numbered: while he bore the sin of many, and for the transgressors he let [evil] befall him.
