And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
'Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother;
3 ൩ അവർ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽവെച്ച് പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു; യൗവനത്തിൽ തന്നെ അവർ പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു; അവിടെവച്ച് അവരുടെ സ്തനങ്ങൾ തഴുകപ്പെട്ടു; അവരുടെ മാറിടം തലോടപ്പെട്ടു.
and they committed harlotries in Egypt; they committed harlotries in their youth; there were their bosoms pressed, and there their virgin breasts were bruised.
4 ൪ അവരിൽ മൂത്തവൾക്ക് ഒഹൊലാ എന്നും ഇളയവൾക്ക് ഒഹൊലീബാ എന്നും പേരായിരുന്നു; അവർ എനിക്കുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു; പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു; അവരുടെ പേര് ഒഹൊലാ എന്നത് ശമര്യയും ഒഹൊലീബാ എന്നത് യെരൂശലേമും ആകുന്നു.
And the names of them were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister; and they became Mine, and they bore sons and daughters. And as for their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.
And Oholah played the harlot when she was Mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians, warriors,
6 ൬ അവൾ തന്റെ സമീപസ്ഥരായ അശ്ശൂര്യജാരന്മാരെ മോഹിച്ചു; അവർ ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച ദേശാധിപതികളും സ്ഥാനാപതികളും കോമളയുവാക്കളും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഓടിക്കുന്നവരുമായിരുന്നു.
clothed with blue, governors and rulers, handsome young men all of them, horsemen riding upon horses.
7 ൭ അശ്ശൂര്യശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരായവരുമായി അവൾ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞുകൂടി; താൻ മോഹിച്ച എല്ലാവരുടെയും സകലവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളാലും അവൾ തന്നെത്തന്നെ മലിനയാക്കി.
And she bestowed her harlotries upon them, the choicest men of Assyria all of them; and on whomsoever she doted, with all their idols she defiled herself.
8 ൮ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന തന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയും അവൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചില്ല; അവർ അവളുടെ യൗവനത്തിൽ അവളോടുകൂടി ശയിച്ച്, അവളുടെ മാറിടം തലോടി, തങ്ങളുടെ പരസംഗത്തിന് അവളെ ഉപകരണമാക്കി.
Neither hath she left her harlotries brought from Egypt; for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised her virgin breasts; and they poured out their lust upon her.
9 ൯ അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അവളെ അവളുടെ ജാരന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ, അവൾ മോഹിച്ചിരുന്ന അശ്ശൂര്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ തന്നെ, ഏല്പിച്ചു.
Wherefore I delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.
10 ൧൦ അവർ അവളുടെ നഗ്നത അനാവരണം ചെയ്തു; അവളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും പിടിക്കുകയും അവളെ വാൾകൊണ്ട് കൊല്ലുകയും ചെയ്തു; അവർ അവളുടെമേൽ വിധി നടത്തിയതുകൊണ്ട് അവൾ സ്ത്രീകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു നിന്ദാപാത്രമായിത്തീർന്നു.
These uncovered her nakedness; they took her sons and her daughters, and her they slew with the sword; and she became a byword among women, for judgments were executed upon her.
11 ൧൧ എന്നാൽ അവളുടെ സഹോദരിയായ ഒഹൊലീബാ ഇതു കണ്ടു എങ്കിലും, തന്റെ കാമവികാരത്തിൽ അവളെക്കാളും, തന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയിൽ സഹോദരിയുടെ വേശ്യവൃത്തിയെക്കാളും അധികം വഷളത്തം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.
And her sister Oholibah saw this, yet was she more corrupt in her doting than she, and in her harlotries more than her sister in her harlotries.
12 ൧൨ മോടിയായി ഉടുത്തുചമഞ്ഞ ദേശാധിപതികളും സ്ഥാനാപതികളും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഓടിക്കുന്നവരും കോമളയുവാക്കന്മാരുമായ, സമീപസ്ഥരായ എല്ലാ അശ്ശൂര്യരെയും അവൾ മോഹിച്ചു,
She doted upon the Assyrians, governors and rulers, warriors, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them handsome young men.
And I saw that she was defiled; they both took one way.
And she increased her harlotries; for she saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,
15 ൧൫ കല്ദയദേശം ജന്മഭൂമിയായുള്ള ബാബേല്‍ക്കാരുടെ രൂപത്തിൽ അരയ്ക്ക് കച്ചകെട്ടി, തലയിൽ തലപ്പാവു ചുറ്റി, പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ കാണപ്പെട്ട പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങളെ തന്നെ ചുവരിന്മേൽ വരച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് അവൾ കണ്ടു.
girded with girdles upon their loins, with pendant turbans upon their heads, all of them captains to look upon, the likeness of the sons of Babylon, even of Chaldea, the land of their nativity.
And as soon as she saw them she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.
17 ൧൭ അങ്ങനെ ബാബേല്‍ക്കാർ പ്രേമശയനത്തിനായി അവളുടെ അടുക്കൽവന്ന് പരസംഗംകൊണ്ട് അവളെ മലിനയാക്കി; അവൾ അവരാൽ മലിനയായിത്തീർന്നു; പിന്നെ അവൾക്ക് അവരോട് വെറുപ്പുതോന്നി.
And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their lust; and she was polluted with them, and her soul was alienated from them.
18 ൧൮ ഇങ്ങനെ അവൾ തന്റെ പരസംഗം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി തന്റെ നഗ്നത അനാവരണം ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ, എനിക്ക് അവളുടെ സഹോദരിയോട് വെറുപ്പു തോന്നിയതുപോലെ അവളോടും വെറുപ്പുതോന്നി.
So she uncovered her harlotries, and uncovered her nakedness; then My soul was alienated from her, like as My soul was alienated from her sister.
Yet she multiplied her harlotries, remembering the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.
And she doted upon concubinage with them, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.
21 ൨൧ ഇങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ യൗവനസ്തനങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാർ നിന്റെ സ്തനാഗ്രങ്ങൾ തലോടിയ നിന്റെ യൗവനത്തിലെ ദുഷ്കർമ്മം നീ തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി.
Thus thou didst call to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, when they from Egypt bruised thy breasts for the bosom of thy youth.
22 ൨൨ അതുകൊണ്ട് ഒഹൊലീബയേ, യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ‘ബാബേല്‍ക്കാർ, കല്ദയർ, പെക്കോദ്യർ, ശോവ്യർ,
Therefore, O Oholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy soul is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side:
23 ൨൩ കോവ്യർ, അശ്ശൂര്യർ എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള കോമളയുവാക്കളും ദേശാധിപതികളും സ്ഥാനാപതികളും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും കീർത്തികേട്ടവരും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഓടിക്കുന്നവരുമായി, നിനക്ക് വെറുപ്പു തോന്നിയിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ജാരന്മാരെ ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് വിരോധമായി ഉണർത്തി എല്ലാവശത്തുനിന്നും നിന്റെനേരെ വരുത്തും.
the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them, handsome young men, governors and rulers all of them, captains and councillors, all of them riding upon horses.
24 ൨൪ അവർ അനവധി രഥങ്ങളും വാഹനങ്ങളും ഒരു ജനസമൂഹവുമായി നിന്റെനേരെ വരും; അവർ പരിചയും പലകയും പിടിച്ച് ശിരസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച് നിന്നെ വന്നു വളയും; ഞാൻ ന്യായവിധി അവരെ ഭരമേല്പിക്കും; അവർ അവരുടെ ന്യായങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുസരിച്ച് നിന്നെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കും.
And they shall come against thee with hosts, chariots, and wheels, and with an assembly of peoples; they shall set themselves in array against thee with buckler and shield and helmet round about; and I will commit the judgment unto them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.
25 ൨൫ ഞാൻ എന്റെ തീക്ഷ്ണത നിന്റെനേരെ പ്രയോഗിക്കും; അവർ ക്രോധത്തോടെ നിന്നോട് പെരുമാറും; അവർ നിന്റെ മൂക്കും ചെവിയും ചെത്തിക്കളയും; നിനക്ക് ശേഷിക്കുന്നവർ വാൾകൊണ്ടു വീഴും; അവർ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; നിനക്ക് ശേഷിക്കുന്നവർ തീയാൽ ദഹിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടും.
And I will set My jealousy against thee, and they shall deal with thee in fury; they shall take away thy nose and thine ears, and thy residue shall fall by the sword; they shall take thy sons and thy daughters, and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.
They shall also strip thee of thy clothes, and take away thy fair jewels.
27 ൨൭ ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദുർന്നടപ്പും, ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയും നിർത്തലാക്കും; നീ ഇനി തലപൊക്കി അവരെ നോക്കുകയില്ല; ഈജിപ്റ്റിനെ ഓർക്കുകയുമില്ല”.
Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy harlotry brought from the land of Egypt, so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.
28 ൨൮ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നീ പകയ്ക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ, നിനക്ക് വെറുപ്പു തോന്നുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ തന്നെ, ഏല്പിക്കും.
For thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy soul is alienated;
29 ൨൯ അവർ പകയോടെ നിന്നോട് പെരുമാറി, നിന്റെ സമ്പാദ്യം മുഴുവനും എടുത്ത്, നിന്നെ നഗ്നയും അനാവൃതയും ആക്കിവിടും; അങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയുടെ നഗ്നതയും നിന്റെ ദുർന്നടപ്പും പരസംഗങ്ങളും വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും.
and they shall deal with thee in hatred, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare; and the nakedness of thy harlotries shall be uncovered, both thy lewdness and thy harlotries.
30 ൩൦ നീ ജനതകളോടു ചേർന്ന് പരസംഗം ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടും അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളാൽ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ മലിനയാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടും ഇത് നിനക്ക് ഭവിക്കും.
These things shall be done unto thee, for that thou hast gone astray after the nations, and because thou art polluted with their idols.
In the way of thy sister hast thou walked; therefore will I give her cup into thy hand.
32 ൩൨ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “നീ സഹോദരിയുടെ ആഴവും വിസ്താരവും ഉള്ള പാനപാത്രത്തിൽനിന്നു കുടിച്ച് നിന്ദയ്ക്കും പരിഹാസത്തിനും വിഷയമായിത്തീരും; അതിൽ വളരെ കൊള്ളുമല്ലോ.
Thus saith the Lord GOD: Thou shalt drink of thy sister's cup, which is deep and large; thou shalt be for a scorn and a derision; it is full to the uttermost.
33 ൩൩ ഭീതിയും ശൂന്യതയുമുള്ള പാനപാത്രമായി, നിന്റെ സഹോദരി ശമര്യയുടെ പാനപാത്രമായ ലഹരിയും ദുഃഖവുംകൊണ്ട് നീ നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and appalment, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.
34 ൩൪ നീ അത് കുടിച്ചു വറ്റിച്ച് ഉടച്ച് കഷണങ്ങളെ നക്കി നിന്റെ സ്തനങ്ങളെ കീറിക്കളയും; ഞാൻ അത് കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന് യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
Thou shalt even drink it and drain it, and thou shalt craunch the sherds thereof, and shalt tear thy breasts; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
35 ൩൫ ആകയാൽ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “നീ എന്നെ മറന്ന് എന്നെ നിന്റെ പിമ്പിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയുകകൊണ്ട് നീ നിന്റെ ദുർന്നടപ്പും പരസംഗവും വഹിക്കുക”.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Because thou hast forgotten Me, and cast Me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy harlotries.'
36 ൩൬ പിന്നെയും യഹോവ എന്നോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്: “മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ ഒഹൊലയെയും ഒഹൊലീബയെയും ന്യായംവിധിക്കുമോ? എന്നാൽ അവരുടെ മ്ലേച്ഛതകൾ അവരോട് അറിയിക്കുക.
The LORD said moreover unto me: 'Son of man, wilt thou judge Oholah and Oholibah? then declare unto them their abominations.
37 ൩൭ അവർ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്തു; അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ രക്തം ഉണ്ട്; അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോട് അവർ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്തു; അവർ എനിക്ക് പ്രസവിച്ച മക്കളെ അവയ്ക്കു ഭോജനമായി അഗ്നിപ്രവേശം ചെയ്യിച്ചു.
For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery; and their sons, whom they bore unto Me, they have also set apart unto them to be devoured.
38 ൩൮ ഒന്നുകൂടെ അവർ എന്നോട് ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു: അന്ന് തന്നെ അവർ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ മലിനമാക്കി, എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകളെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി.
Moreover this they have done unto Me: they have defiled My sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned My sabbaths.
39 ൩൯ അവർ അവരുടെ മക്കളെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി കൊന്ന ശേഷം അന്നുതന്നെ അവർ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കേണ്ടതിന് അതിലേക്ക് വന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു അവർ എന്റെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ ചെയ്തത്.
For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into My sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of My house.
40 ൪൦ ഇതുകൂടാതെ, ദൂരത്തുനിന്ന് വന്ന പുരുഷന്മാർക്ക് അവർ ആളയച്ച്; ഒരു ദൂതൻ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നയുടൻ അവർ വന്നു; അവർക്ക് വേണ്ടി നീ കുളിച്ച്, കണ്ണിൽ മഷി എഴുതി, ആഭരണം അണിഞ്ഞ്,
And furthermore ye have sent for men that come from far; unto whom a messenger was sent, and, lo, they came; for whom thou didst wash thyself, paint thine eyes, and deck thyself with ornaments;
41 ൪൧ ഭംഗിയുള്ള ഒരു കട്ടിലിന്മേൽ ഇരുന്നു, അതിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഒരു മേശ ഒരുക്കി, അതിന്മേൽ എന്റെ കുന്തുരുക്കവും എണ്ണയും വച്ചു.
and sattest upon a stately bed, with a table prepared before it, whereupon thou didst set Mine incense and Mine oil.
42 ൪൨ നിർഭയമായിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ ഘോഷം അവളോടുകൂടി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ജനസമൂഹത്തിലെ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ അവർ ആളയച്ച്, മരുഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു മദ്യപന്മാരെ വരുത്തി; അവർ അവരുടെ കൈകളിൽ വളയിടുകയും തലയിൽ ഭംഗിയുള്ള കിരീടങ്ങൾ വയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു”.
And the voice of a multitude being at ease was therein; and for the sake of men, they were so many, brought drunken from the wilderness, they put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
43 ൪൩ അപ്പോൾ വ്യഭിചാരവൃത്തികൊണ്ട് വൃദ്ധയായവളെക്കുറിച്ച് ഞാൻ: “ഇപ്പോൾ അവർ അവളോടും അവൾ അവരോടും പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുമോ?” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
Then said I of her that was worn out by adulteries: Still they commit harlotries with her, even her.
44 ൪൪ അങ്ങനെ വേശ്യയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുന്നതുപോലെ അവർ അവളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു; അതെ അവർ കാമുകികളായ ഒഹൊലയുടെ അടുക്കലും ഒഹൊലീബയുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു.
For every one went in unto her, as men go in unto a harlot; so went they in unto Oholah and unto Oholibah, the lewd women.
45 ൪൫ എന്നാൽ നീതിമാന്മാരായ പുരുഷന്മാർ, വ്യഭിചാരിണികൾക്കും രക്തപാതകികൾക്കും തക്ക ന്യായപ്രകാരം അവരെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കും; അവർ വ്യഭിചാരിണികളല്ലയോ; അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ രക്തവും ഉണ്ട്.
But righteous men, they shall judge them as adulteresses are judged, and as women that shed blood are judged; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
46 ൪൬ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ അവരുടെ നേരെ ഒരു സഭ കൂട്ടി അവരെ പരിഭ്രമത്തിനും കവർച്ചയ്ക്കും ഏല്പിക്കും.
For thus saith the Lord GOD: An assembly shall be brought up against them, and they shall be made a horror and a spoil.
47 ൪൭ ആ സഭ അവരെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞ് വാൾകൊണ്ടു വെട്ടിക്കളയും; അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും അവർ കൊന്ന് അവരുടെ വീടുകൾ തീവച്ച് ചുട്ടുകളയും.
And the assembly shall stone them with stones, and despatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
48 ൪൮ ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുർന്നടപ്പുപോലെ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുവാൻ സകലസ്ത്രീകളും ഒരു പാഠം പഠിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ ദുർന്നടപ്പ് ദേശത്തുനിന്ന് നീക്കിക്കളയും.
Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.
49 ൪൯ അങ്ങനെ അവർ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുർന്നടപ്പിനു തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് പകരം ചെയ്യും; നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ ചുമക്കേണ്ടിവരും; ഞാൻ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയും”.
And your lewdness shall be recompensed upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.'
