1 രാജാക്കന്മാർ 16
And the word of the Lord came by the hand of Ju son of Anani to Baasa, [saying],
2 ൨ “ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പൊടിയിൽനിന്ന് ഉയർത്തി എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന് പ്രഭുവാക്കിവെച്ചു; നീയോ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ വഴിയിൽ നടന്ന് എനിക്ക് കോപം ജ്വലിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ട് പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ചു;
Forasmuch as I lifted thee up from the earth, and made thee ruler over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast caused my people Israel to sin, to provoke me with their vanities;
3 ൩ അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ ബയെശയെയും അവന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെയും നിശ്ശേഷം നശിപ്പിക്കും; നിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെ നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെ ആക്കും.
Behold, I raise up [enemies] after Baasa, and after his house; and I will make thy house as the house of Jeroboam son of Nabat.
4 ൪ ബയെശയുടെ സന്തതികളിൽ പട്ടണത്തിൽവെച്ച് മരിക്കുന്നവനെ നായ്ക്കളും വയലിൽവെച്ച് മരിക്കുന്നവനെ ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളും തിന്നും”.
Him that dies of Baasa in the city the dogs shall devour, and him that dies of his in the field the birds of the sky shall devour.
5 ൫ ബയെശയുടെ മറ്റ് പ്രവൃത്തികളും അവൻ ചെയ്ത വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളും യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
Now the rest of the history of Baasa, and all that he did, and his mighty acts, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
6 ൬ ബയെശാ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവനെ തിർസ്സയിൽ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകൻ ഏലാ അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.
And Baasa slept with his fathers, and they bury him in Thersa; and Ela his son reigns in his stead.
7 ൭ ബയെശാ യഹോവയുടെ കൺമുൻപിൽ യൊരോബെയാംഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെ സകല ദുഷ്ടതകളും പ്രവൃത്തിച്ച് യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിക്കയും അവരെ കൊന്നുകളകയും ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ അവന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന് വിരോധമായി ഹനാനിയുടെ മകൻ യേഹൂപ്രവാചകൻ മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായത്.
And the Lord spoke by Ju the son of Anani against Baasa, and against his house, [even] all the evil which he wrought before the Lord to provoke him to anger by the works of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he smote him.
8 ൮ യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ ആസയുടെ ഇരുപത്താറാം ആണ്ടിൽ ബയെശയുടെ മകൻ ഏലാ യിസ്രായേലിൽ രാജാവായി തിർസ്സയിൽ രണ്ട് സംവത്സരം വാണു.
And Ela son of Baasa reigned over Israel two years in Thersa.
9 ൯ എന്നാൽ രഥങ്ങളിൽ പകുതിക്ക് അധിപതിയായ സിമ്രി എന്ന അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യൻ അവന് വിരോധമായി കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി; ഏലാ തിർസ്സയിലെ രാജധാനിവിചാരകനായ അർസ്സയുടെ വീട്ടിൽ മദ്യപിച്ച് ലഹരിപിടിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ
And Zambri, captain of half his cavalry, conspired against him, while he was in Thersa, drinking himself drunk in the house of Osa the steward at Thersa.
10 ൧൦ സിമ്രി അകത്ത് കടന്ന് യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ ആസയുടെ ഇരുപത്തേഴാം ആണ്ടിൽ അവനെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്ന് അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.
And Zambri went in and smote him and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
11 ൧൧ അവൻ രാജാവായി സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നപ്പോൾ ബയെശയുടെ ഗൃഹത്തെ മുഴുവനും നശിപ്പിച്ചു; ആ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരിലോ സ്നേഹിതരിലോ ഒരു പുരുഷപ്രജയെ പോലും അവൻ ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചില്ല.
And it came to pass when he reigned, when he sat upon his throne,
12 ൧൨ അങ്ങനെ ബയെശയും അവന്റെ മകൻ ഏലയും തങ്ങളുടെ മിഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിച്ച്, തങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തതും യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ട് ചെയ്യിച്ചതുമായ സകലപാപങ്ങളും നിമിത്തം
that he smote all the house of Baasa, according to the word which the Lord spoke against the house of Baasa, and to Ju the prophet,
13 ൧൩ യഹോവ യേഹൂപ്രവാചകൻ മുഖാന്തരം ബയെശക്ക് വിരോധമായി അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനപ്രകാരം സിമ്രി ബയെശയുടെ ഭവനത്തെ മുഴുവനും നിഗ്രഹിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
for all the sins of Baasa and Ela his son, as he led Israel astray to sin, to provoke the Lord God of Israel with their vanities.
14 ൧൪ ഏലയുടെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
And the rest of the deeds of Ela which he did, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
15 ൧൫ യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ ആസയുടെ ഇരുപത്തേഴാം ആണ്ടിൽ സിമ്രി തിർസ്സയിൽ ഏഴു ദിവസം രാജാവായിരുന്നു; അന്ന് പടജ്ജനം ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ ഗിബ്ബെഥോൻ ഉപരോധിച്ചിരിക്കയായിരുന്നു.
And Zambri reigned in Thersa seven days: and the army of Israel [was] encamped against Gabathon of the Philistines.
16 ൧൬ സിമ്രി കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി രാജാവിനെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു എന്ന് പാളയം ഇറങ്ങിയിരുന്ന പടജ്ജനം കേട്ടപ്പോൾ എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലും അന്ന് തന്നേ പാളയത്തിൽവെച്ച് സേനാധിപതിയായ ഒമ്രിയെ യിസ്രായേലിന് രാജാവായി വാഴിച്ചു.
And the people heard in the army, saying, Zambri has conspired and smitten the king: and the people of Israel made Ambri the captain of the host king in that day in the camp over Israel.
And Ambri went up, and all Israel with him, out of Gabathon; and they besieged Thersa.
18 ൧൮ പട്ടണം പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്ന് സിമ്രി കണ്ടപ്പോൾ രാജധാനിയുടെ ഉൾമുറിയിൽ കടന്ന് രാജധാനിക്ക് തീവെച്ച് അതിനകത്ത് സ്വയം മരിച്ചു.
And it came to pass when Zambri saw that his city was taken, that he goes into the inner chamber of the house of the king, and burnt the king's house over him, and died.
19 ൧൯ സ്വയം പാപംചെയ്യുകയും യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ട് പാപം ചെയ്യിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ വഴികളിൽ നടന്ന് യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളത് പ്രവൃത്തിച്ചതിനാൽ തന്നേ ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിച്ചു.
Because of his sins which he committed, doing that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, so as to walk in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, and in his sins wherein he caused Israel to sin.
20 ൨൦ സിമ്രിയുടെ മറ്റ് പ്രവൃത്തികളും അവൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ഗൂഢാലോചനയും യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
And the rest of the history of Zambri, and his conspiracies wherein he conspired, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
21 ൨൧ അന്ന് യിസ്രായേൽജനം രണ്ട് ഭാഗമായി പിരിഞ്ഞു; പകുതി ജനം ഗീനത്തിന്റെ മകനായ തിബ്നിയെ രാജാവാക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവന്റെ പക്ഷം ചേർന്നു; മറ്റെ പകുതി ഒമ്രിയുടെ പക്ഷം ചേർന്നു.
Then the people of Israel divides; half the people goes after Thamni the son of Gonath to make him king; and half the people goes after Ambri.
22 ൨൨ എന്നാൽ ഒമ്രിയുടെ അനുയായികൾ ഗീനത്തിന്റെ മകൻ തിബ്നിയുടെ പക്ഷത്തെ തോല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ തിബ്നി കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും ഒമ്രി രാജാവാകയും ചെയ്തു.
The people that followed Ambri overpowered the people that followed Thamni son of Gonath; and Thamni died and Joram his brother at that time, and Ambri reigned after Thamni.
23 ൨൩ യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ ആസയുടെ മുപ്പത്തൊന്നാം ആണ്ടിൽ ഒമ്രി യിസ്രായേലിൽ രാജാവായി പന്ത്രണ്ട് സംവത്സരം വാണു; തിർസ്സയിൽ അവൻ ആറ് സംവത്സരം വാണു.
In the thirty-first year of king Asa, Ambri begins to reign over Israel twelve years: he reigns six years in Thersa.
24 ൨൪ പിന്നെ അവൻ ശേമെരിനോട് ശമര്യാമല ഏകദേശം 70 കിലോഗ്രാം വെള്ളിക്ക് വാങ്ങി ആ മലമുകളിൽ പട്ടണം പണിതു; താൻ പണിത പട്ടണത്തിന് മലയുടമസ്ഥനായിരുന്ന ശേമെരിന്റെ പേരിൻ പ്രകാരം ശമര്യാ എന്ന് പേരിട്ടു.
And Ambri bought the mount Semeron of Semer the lord of the mountain for two talents of silver; and he built [upon] the mountain, and they called the name of the mountain [on] which he built, after the name of Semer the lord of the mount, Semeron.
25 ൨൫ ഒമ്രി യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളത് ചെയ്തു; തനിക്ക് മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരെക്കാളും അധികം ദോഷം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.
And Ambri did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and wrought wickedly beyond all that were before him.
26 ൨൬ അവൻ നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ എല്ലാ വഴികളിലും നടന്ന്, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ തങ്ങളുടെ മിഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളാൽ കോപിപ്പിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ട് പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ചു.
And he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, and in his sins wherewith he caused Israel to sin, to provoke the Lord God of Israel by their vanities.
27 ൨൭ ഒമ്രി ചെയ്ത മറ്റുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തികളും അവന്റെ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളും യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
And the rest of the acts of Ambri, and all that he did, and all his might, behold, [are] not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
28 ൨൮ ഒമ്രി തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; ശമര്യയിൽ അവനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു. അവന്റെ മകൻ ആഹാബ് അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.
And Ambri slept with his fathers, and is buried in Samaria; and Achaab his son reigns in his stead.
29 ൨൯ യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ ആസയുടെ മുപ്പത്തെട്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ ഒമ്രിയുടെ മകൻ ആഹാബ് യിസ്രായേലിൽ രാജാവായി; അവൻ ശമര്യയിൽ യിസ്രായേലിനെ ഇരുപത്തുരണ്ട് സംവത്സരം വാണു.
In the second year of Josaphat king of Juda, Achaab son of Ambri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.
30 ൩൦ ഒമ്രിയുടെ മകൻ ആഹാബ് തനിക്ക് മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരെക്കാളും അധികം യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളത് ചെയ്തു.
And Achaab did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and did more wickedly than all that were before him.
31 ൩൧ നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകൻ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളിൽ നടക്കുന്നത് പോരാ എന്ന് തോന്നുമാറ് അവൻ സീദോന്യരാജാവായ എത്ത്-ബാലിന്റെ മകൾ ഈസേബെലിനെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുകയും ബാലിനെ സേവിച്ച് നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
And it was not enough for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, but he took to wife, Jezabel the daughter of Jethebaal king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal, and worshiped him.
And he set up an alter to Baal, in the house of his abominations, which he built in Samaria.
33 ൩൩ ആഹാബ് ഒരു അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അങ്ങനെ അവൻ തനിക്ക് മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാക്കന്മാരെക്കാളും അധികം ദോഷം പ്രവർത്തിച്ച് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു.
And Achaab made a grove; and Achaab did yet more abominably, to provoke the Lord God of Israel, and [to sin against] his own life so that he should be destroyed: he did evil above all the kings of Israel that were before him.
34 ൩൪ അവന്റെ കാലത്ത് ബേഥേല്യനായ ഹീയേൽ യെരിഹോ പണിതു; യഹോവ നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനപ്രകാരം അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടപ്പോൾ അവന് അബീറാം എന്ന മൂത്തമകനും അതിന്റെ പടിവാതിൽ വെച്ചപ്പോൾ ശെഗൂബു എന്ന ഇളയ മകനും നഷ്ടമായി.
And in his days Achiel the Baethelite built Jericho: he laid the foundation of it in Abiron his first-born, and he set up the doors of it in Segub his younger son, according to the word of the Lord which he spoke by Joshua the son of Naue.
