the sons of Judah, Perez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
2 ൨ ശോബലിന്റെ മകനായ രെയായാവ് യഹത്തിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യഹത്ത് അഹൂമായിയെയും ലാഹദിനെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇവർ സോരത്യരുടെ കുലങ്ങൾ.
And, Reaiah son of Shobal, begat Jahath, and, Jahath, begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These, are the families of the Zorathites.
3 ൩ ഏതാമിന്റെ അപ്പനിൽനിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിച്ചവർ: യിസ്രയേൽ, യിശ്മാ, യിദ്ബാശ്; അവരുടെ സഹോദരിക്ക് ഹസ്സെലൊല്പോനി എന്നു പേർ.
And, these, were the sons of Etam, Jezreel and Ishma, and Idbash, —and, the name of their sister, was Hazzelelponi;
4 ൪ പെനൂവേൽ ഗെദോരിന്റെ അപ്പനും, ഏസെർ ഹൂശയുടെ അപ്പനും ആയിരുന്നു. ഇവർ ബേത്ത്-ലേഹേമിന്‍റെ അപ്പനായ എഫ്രാത്തയുടെ ആദ്യജാതനായ ഹൂരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ.
and Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer, the father of Hushah. These, are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, the father of Bethlehem.
And, Ashhur the father of Tekoa, had two wives, —Helah, and Naarah.
And Naarah bare him Ahuzzam and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These, were the sons of Naarah.
And, the sons of Helah, were Zereth, Izhar, and Ethnan.
And, Koz, begat Anub, and Zobebah, —and the families of Aharhel, the son of Harum.
9 ൯ യബ്ബേസ് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെക്കാൾ ഏറ്റവും മാന്യൻ ആയിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ അമ്മ: ഞാൻ അവനെ വ്യസനത്തോടെ പ്രസവിച്ചു എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ് അവന് യബ്ബേസ് എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.
Now it came to pass that Jabez was more honourable than his brethren, —but, his mother, had called his name Jabez, ["he causes pain"] saying, Because I bare him with pain.
10 ൧൦ യബ്ബേസ് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തോട്: “നീ എന്നെ നിശ്ചയമായി അനുഗ്രഹിച്ച് എന്റെ അതിർ വിസ്താരമാക്കുകയും, നിന്റെ കൈ എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്ന് അനർത്ഥം എനിക്ക് വ്യസനകാരണമായി തീരാതെ എന്നെ കാക്കുകയും ചെയ്താൽ കൊള്ളാമായിരുന്നു” എന്ന് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു. അവൻ അപേക്ഷിച്ചതിനെ ദൈവം അവന് നല്കി.
So then Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldst, indeed bless, me, and enlarge my boundary, and that thy hand might be with me, —and that thou wouldst work [to deliver me] from evil, that it be not my pain. And God brought about that which he asked.
And, Chelub the brother of Shuhah, begat Mehir, the same, was the father of Eshton.
12 ൧൨ എസ്തോൻ ബേത്ത്-രാഫയെയും പാസേഹയെയും ഈർനാഹാസിന്റെ അപ്പനായ തെഹിന്നയെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇവർ രേഖാനിവാസികൾ ആകുന്നു.
And, Eshton, begat Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah, the father of Ir-nahash. These, are the men of Recah.
And, the sons of Kenaz, were Othniel, and Seraiah, —and, the sons of Othniel, Hathath.
14 ൧൪ മെയോനോഥയി ഒഫ്രയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; സെരായാവ് ഗേ-ഹരാശീമിന്റെ അപ്പനായ യോവാബിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അവർ കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാർ ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.
And, Meonothai, begat Ophrah, —and, Seraiah, begat Joab, the father of Ge-harashim, for they were, craftsmen.
And, the sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh, were Iru, Elah, and Naam, —and the sons of Elah and Kenaz.
And, the sons of Jehallelel, Ziph and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.
17 ൧൭ എസ്രയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: യേഥെർ, മേരെദ്, ഏഫെർ, യാലോൻ എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു. മേരെദിന്റെ ഭാര്യ മിര്യാമിനെയും ശമ്മയെയും എസ്തെമോവയുടെ അപ്പനായ യിശ്ബഹിനെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു.
And, the sons of Ezrah, Jether and Mered, and Epher and Jalon. And, these, are the sons of Bithia, daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered took, —and she conceived and bare Miriam and Shammai, and Ishbah, the father of Eshtemoa.
18 ൧൮ അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ യെഹൂദീയ ഗെദോരിന്റെ അപ്പനായ യേരെദിനെയും സോഖോവിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ഹേബെരിനെയും സാനോഹയുടെ അപ്പനായ യെക്കൂഥീയേലിനെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു. മേരെദ് പരിഗ്രഹിച്ച ഫറവോന്റെ മകളായ ബിഥ്യയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഇവരാകുന്നു.
And, his wife, the Jewess, bare Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel, the father of Zanoah.
19 ൧൯ നഹമിന്റെ സഹോദരിയും ഹോദീയാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയുമായവളുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഗർമ്മ്യനായ കെയീലയുടെ അപ്പനും മയഖാത്യനായ എസ്തെമോവയും തന്നേ.
And, the sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the father of Keilah, the Garmite, —and Eshtemoa, the Maacathite.
20 ൨൦ ശീമോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അമ്നോൻ, രിന്നാ, ബെൻ-ഹാനാൻ, തീലോൻ. യിശിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: സോഹേത്ത്, ബെൻ-സോഹേത്ത്.
And, the sons of Shimon, Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-hanan and Tilon. And, the sons of Ishi, Zoheth, and Ben-zoheth.
21 ൨൧ യെഹൂദയുടെ മകനായ ശേലയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ലേഖയുടെ അപ്പനായ ഏരും, മാരേശയുടെ അപ്പനായ ലദയും, ബേത്ത്-അശ്ബെയയിൽ നെയ്ത്തുജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ കുലങ്ങളും;
the sons of Shelah, the son of Judah, Er, the father of Lecah, and Laadah, the father of Mareshah, —and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea;
22 ൨൨ യോക്കീമും കോസേബാ നിവാസികളും മോവാബിൽ അധികാരം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന യോവാശ്, സാരാഫ് എന്നിവരും യാശുബീ-ലേഹെമും തന്നേ. ഇവ പുരാണവൃത്താന്തങ്ങൾ ആകുന്നു.
and Jokim, and the men of Cozeba, and Joash, and Saraph who ruled for Moab, and Jashubi-lehem, —but, the records, are ancient.
23 ൨൩ ഇവർ നെതായീമിലും ഗെദേരയിലും താമസിച്ച കുശവന്മാർ ആയിരുന്നു; അവർ രാജാവിനോടുകൂടെ അവന്റെ വേലചെയ്യുവാൻ അവിടെ താമസിച്ചു.
They, were the potters and the inhabitants of Netaim, and Gederah, —with the king in his work, dwelt they there.
The sons of Simeon, Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul:
Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.
And, the sons of Mishma, Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son.
27 ൨൭ ശിമെയിക്ക് പതിനാറ് പുത്രന്മാരും ആറ് പുത്രിമാരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്ക് അധികം മക്കളില്ലായ്കയാൽ അവരുടെ കുലമെല്ലാം യെഹൂദാമക്കളോളം വർദ്ധിച്ചില്ല.
And, Shimei, had sixteen sons, and six daughters, but, his brethren, had not many children, —nor did, any of their family, multiply so much as the sons of Judah.
And they dwelt in Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-shual;
and in Bilhah, and in Ezem, and in Tolad;
and in Bethuel, and in Hormah, and in Ziklag;
31 ൩൧ ഹൊർമ്മയിലും സിക്ലാഗിലും ബേത്ത്-മർക്കാബോത്തിലും ഹസർ-സൂസീമിലും ബേത്ത്-ബിരിയിലും ശയരയീമിലും താമസിച്ചു. ഇവ ദാവീദിന്റെ വാഴ്ചവരെ അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
and in Beth-marcaboth, and in Hazar-susim, and in Beth-biri, and in Shaaraim. These, were their cities unto the reign of David.
And, their villages, were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, —five cities;
33 ൩൩ ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളുടെ ചുറ്റും ബാൽവരെ അവയ്ക്കുള്ള സകലഗ്രാമങ്ങളും തന്നേ. ഇവ അവരുടെ വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങൾ. അവർക്ക് സ്വന്തവംശാവലിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
and all their villages that were round about these cities, as far as Baal. These, were their habitations, and they had their own genealogical register.
And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah, the son of Amaziah;
and Joel, —and Jehu, the son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel:
and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah:
37 ൩൭ ബെനായാവ്, ശെമെയാവിന്റെ മകനായ ശിമ്രിയുടെ മകനായ യെദായാവിന്റെ മകനായ അല്ലോന്റെ മകനായ ശിഫിയുടെ മകനായ സീസാ;
and Ziza, son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah.
38 ൩൮ പേർവിവരം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ഇവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കുലങ്ങളിൽ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായിരുന്നു; അവരുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റവും വർദ്ധിച്ചിരുന്നു.
These, introduced by their names, were leading men in their families. And, their ancestral house, brake forth exceedingly;
39 ൩൯ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ആട്ടിൻകൂട്ടങ്ങൾക്ക് മേച്ചൽ തിരയേണ്ടതിന് ഗെദോർപ്രവേശനത്തോളം താഴ്വരയുടെ കിഴക്കുവശംവരെ യാത്രചെയ്തു.
so they went to the entering in of Gerar, unto the east of the valley, —to seek pasture for their flocks;
40 ൪൦ അവർ പുഷ്ടിയുള്ളതും നല്ലതുമായ മേച്ചൽ കണ്ടെത്തി; ദേശം വിസ്താരവും സ്വസ്ഥതയും സമാധാനവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ പൂർവ്വനിവാസികൾ ഹാംവംശക്കാരായിരുന്നു.
and they found pasture, fat and good, and, the land, was broad on both hands, and quiet, and secure, —for, of Ham, were the dwellers there aforetime.
41 ൪൧ പേർവിവരം എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഇവർ യെഹൂദ്യരാജാവായ യഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ കാലത്ത് അവിടെ ചെന്ന് അവരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളെയും അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മെയൂന്യരെയും ആക്രമിച്ചു, അവർക്ക് നിർമ്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തുകയും അവിടെ തങ്ങളുടെ ആട്ടിൻകൂട്ടങ്ങൾക്ക് മേച്ചൽ ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ട് അവർക്ക് പകരം താമസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
But these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the Meunim who were found there, and devoted them, until this day, and dwelt in their stead, —for there was pasture for their flocks, there.
42 ൪൨ ശിമെയോന്യരായ ഇവരിൽ അഞ്ഞൂറുപേർ, യിശിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരായ, പെലത്യാവ്, നെയര്യാവ്, രെഫായാവ്, ഉസ്സീയേൽ എന്നീ തലവന്മാരോടുകൂടെ സേയീർപർവ്വതത്തിലേക്ക് യാത്രചെയ്തു.
And, some of them, of the sons of Simeon, went to Mount Seir, five hundred men, —with Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, sons of Ishi, at their head;
and they smote the remainder that had escaped, of the Amalekites, —and dwelt there—[as they have] unto this day.
