സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 73
1 ദൈവം യിസ്രായേലിന്നു, നിൎമ്മലഹൃദയമുള്ളവർക്കു തന്നേ, നല്ലവൻ ആകുന്നു നിശ്ചയം.
A Psalm for Asaph. How good is God to Israel, to the upright in heart!
2 എന്നാൽ എന്റെ കാലുകൾ ഏകദേശം ഇടറി; എന്റെ കാലടികൾ ഏറക്കുറെ വഴുതിപ്പോയി.
But my feet were almost overthrown; my goings very nearly slipped.
3 ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സൌഖ്യം കണ്ടിട്ടു എനിക്കു അഹങ്കാരികളോടു അസൂയ തോന്നി.
For I was jealous of the transgressors, beholding the tranquility of sinners.
4 അവൎക്കു വേദന ഒട്ടുമില്ലല്ലോ; അവരുടെ ദേഹം തടിച്ചുരുണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
For there is no sign of reluctance in their death: and [they have] firmness under their affliction.
5 അവർ മൎത്യരെപ്പോലെ കഷ്ടത്തിൽ ആകുന്നില്ല; മറ്റു മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെ ബാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.
They are not in the troubles of [other] men; and they shall not be scourged with [other] men.
6 ആകയാൽ ഡംഭം അവൎക്കു മാലയായിരിക്കുന്നു; ബലാല്ക്കാരം വസ്ത്രംപോലെ അവരെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
Therefore pride has possessed them; they have clothed themselves with their injustice and ungodliness.
7 അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ പുഷ്ടികൊണ്ടു ഉന്തിനില്ക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നു.
Their injustice shall go forth as out of fatness: they have fulfilled their intention.
8 അവർ പരിഹസിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടതയോടെ ഭീഷണി പറയുന്നു; ഉന്നതഭാവത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.
They have taken counsel and spoken in wickedness: they have uttered unrighteousness loftily.
9 അവർ വായ് ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയൎത്തുന്നു; അവരുടെ നാവു ഭൂമിയിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.
They have set their mouth against heaven, and their tongue has gone through upon the earth.
10 അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻതന്റെ ജനത്തെ ഇതിലേക്കു തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ധാരാളം വെള്ളം വലിച്ചുകുടിക്കുന്നു.
Therefore shall my people return hither: and full days shall be found with them.
11 ദൈവം എങ്ങനെ അറിയുന്നു? അത്യുന്നതന്നു അറിവുണ്ടോ? എന്നു അവർ പറയുന്നു.
And they said, How does God know? and is there knowledge in the Most High?
12 ഇങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ; അവർ നിത്യം സ്വസ്ഥത അനുഭവിച്ചു സമ്പത്തു വൎദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
Behold, these [are] the sinners, and they that prosper always: they have possessed wealth.
13 എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചതും എന്റെ കൈകളെ കുറ്റമില്ലായ്മയിൽ കഴുകിയതും വ്യൎത്ഥമത്രേ.
And I said, Verily in vain have I justified my heart, and washed my hands in innocency.
14 ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ബാധിതനായിരുന്നു; ഉഷസ്സുതോറും ദണ്ഡിക്കപ്പെട്ടും ഇരുന്നു.
For I was plagued all the day, and my reproof [was] every morning.
15 ഞാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ വിചാരിച്ചെങ്കിൽ ഇതാ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മക്കളുടെ തലമുറയോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.
If I said, I will speak thus; behold, I [should] have broken covenant with the generation of your children.
16 ഞാൻ ഇതു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ നിരൂപിച്ചപ്പോൾ എനിക്കു പ്രയാസമായി തോന്നി;
And I undertook to understand this, [but] it is too hard for me,
17 ഒടുവിൽ ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു അവരുടെ അന്തം എന്താകും എന്നു ചിന്തിച്ചു.
until I go into the sanctuary of God; [and so] understand the latter end.
18 നിശ്ചയമായി നീ അവരെ വഴുവഴുപ്പിൽ നിൎത്തുന്നു; നീ അവരെ നാശത്തിൽ തള്ളിയിടുന്നു.
Surely you have appointed [judgments] to them because of their crafty dealings: you have cast them down when they were lifted up.
19 എത്ര ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവർ ശൂന്യമായ്പോയി! അവർ മെരുൾചകളാൽ അശേഷം മുടിഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.
How have they become desolate! suddenly they have failed: they have perished because of their iniquity.
20 ഉണരുമ്പോൾ ഒരു സ്വപ്നത്തെപ്പോലെ കൎത്താവേ, നീ ഉണരുമ്പോൾ അവരുടെ രൂപത്തെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കും.
As the dream of one awakening, O Lord, in your city you will despise their image.
21 ഇങ്ങനെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം വ്യസനിക്കയും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗത്തിൽ കുത്തുകൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ
For my heart has rejoiced, and my reins have been gladdened.
22 ഞാൻ പൊട്ടനും ഒന്നും അറിയാത്തവനും ആയിരുന്നു; നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ മൃഗംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.
But I [was] vile and knew not: I became brutish before you.
23 എന്നിട്ടും ഞാൻ എപ്പോഴും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്നെ വലങ്കൈക്കു പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Yet I am continually with you: you have holden my right hand.
24 നിന്റെ ആലോചനയാൽ നീ എന്നെ നടത്തും; പിന്നെത്തേതിൽ മഹത്വത്തിലേക്കു എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളും.
You have guided me by your counsel, and you have taken me to yourself with glory.
25 സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ എനിക്കു ആരുള്ളു? ഭൂമിയിലും നിന്നെയല്ലാതെ ഞാൻ ഒന്നും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.
For what have I in heaven [but you]? and what have I desired upon the earth beside you?
26 എന്റെ മാംസവും ഹൃദയവും ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; ദൈവം എന്നേക്കും എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ ഓഹരിയും ആകുന്നു.
My heart and my flesh have failed: [but] God [is the strength] of my heart, and God is my portion for ever.
27 ഇതാ, നിന്നോടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നവർ നശിച്ചുപോകും; നിന്നെ വിട്ടു പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാവരെയും നീ സംഹരിക്കും.
For, behold, they that remove themselves far from you shall perish: you have destroyed every one that goes a whoring from you.
28 എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തോടു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു നല്ലതു; നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളെയും വൎണ്ണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവിനെ എന്റെ സങ്കേതമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
But it is good for me to cleave close to God, to put my trust in the Lord; that I may proclaim all your praises in the gates of the daughter of Sion.
