സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 16
1 ദൈവമേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശരണം ആക്കിയിരിക്കയാൽ എന്നെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളേണമേ,
God, protect me because I go to you to keep me safe!
2 ഞാൻ യഹോവയോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നീ എന്റെ കൎത്താവാകുന്നു; നീ ഒഴികെ എനിക്കു ഒരു നന്മയും ഇല്ല.
I said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord; all the good things that I have come from you.”
3 ഭൂമിയിലെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരോ അവർ എനിക്കു പ്രസാദമുള്ള ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാർ തന്നേ.
Your people who live in this land are wonderful; I delight to be with them.
4 അന്യദേവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവരുടെ വേദനകൾ വൎദ്ധിക്കും; അവരുടെ രക്തപാനീയബലികളെ ഞാൻ അൎപ്പിക്കയില്ല; അവരുടെ നാമങ്ങളെ എന്റെ നാവിന്മേൽ എടുക്കയുമില്ല.
Those who choose to worship other gods will have many things that cause them to be sad. I will not join them when they make sacrifices [to their gods]; I will not even join them when they speak [MTY] the names of their gods.
5 എന്റെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെയും പാനപാത്രത്തിന്റെയും പങ്കു യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; നീ എനിക്കുള്ള ഓഹരിയെ പരിപാലിക്കുന്നു.
Yahweh, you are the one whom I have chosen, and you give me great blessings. You protect me and control what happens to me.
6 അളവുനൂൽ എനിക്കു മനോഹരദേശത്തു വീണിരിക്കുന്നു; അതേ, എനിക്കു നല്ലോരവകാശം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Yahweh has given me a wonderful place in which to live; I am delighted with all the things that he has given me [MET].
7 എനിക്കു ബുദ്ധി ഉപദേശിച്ചുതന്ന യഹോവയെ ഞാൻ വാഴ്ത്തും; രാത്രികാലങ്ങളിലും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗം എന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു.
I will praise Yahweh, the one who teaches/disciplines me; even at night [he] you put in my mind what is right for me to do.
8 ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല.
I know that Yahweh is always with me. He is beside me; so nothing will (perturb me/cause me to be worried).
9 അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിച്ചു എന്റെ മനസ്സു ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ജഡവും നിൎഭയമായി വസിക്കും.
Therefore I am glad and I [MTY, DOU] rejoice; I can rest securely
10 നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പാതാളത്തിൽ വിടുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ദ്രവത്വം കാണ്മാൻ സമ്മതിക്കയുമില്ല. (Sheol h7585)
because you, Yahweh, will not allow my soul/spirit to remain in the place where the dead people are; you will not allow me, your godly one, to stay there. (Sheol h7585)
11 ജീവന്റെ വഴി നീ എനിക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരും; നിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ സന്തോഷപരിപൂൎണ്ണതയും നിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു എന്നും പ്രമോദങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടു.
You will show me the road that leads to [receiving eternal] life, and you will make me joyful when I am with you. I will have pleasure forever when I am (at your right hand/seated next to you).
